Today, I met my biological parents for the first time, 29 years into my life. They turned out to be two of the most pathetic people I have ever met, and the meeting ended after they asked me to lend them money because I "literally owe them my life." FML

Today, I met my biological father for the first time. He seemed to be slightly intoxicated from the outset, and less than half an hour later, he had tried to intimidate me into "loaning" him several hundred euros for reasons he wouldn't tell me. So long, "dad". FML
Today, I met my biological parents for the first time. Their justification for giving me up for adoption was that I wasn't conceived at the ideal time for them. Apparently, the ideal time was six months after the adoption, when they conceived the first of my two brothers. FML
Today, I met my biological mother for the first time. She stole my wallet. FML
Today, I met my paternal grandparents for the first time, since my dad was never in my life and my mom wouldn’t talk about him. According to them, I have at least 28 other siblings from him, and who knows how many that haven’t come forward. No wonder my mom always hated him. FML
Today, I'm 36 years-old, living with my parents, in debt. My mom always wants to solve my problems by giving me money, which she later claims as "borrowed", so now I'm highly in debt with the bank… and her. FML
Today, I tried to confront my parents with the fact that they're almost certainly going to outlive me unless I radically change my lifestyle, and that I needed their assistance to help me stay on track. I only realized after my impassioned speech that they were ignoring me the whole time. FML
Today, my mom told me that she had great news: we were going to meet my biological parents. I didn't know I was adopted. FML
Today, I found out that my parents are 28,000 dollars in debt and that my bank account has $27.17 in it. They took my money to help pay their debt. FML
Today, both my mom and dad agreed I basically ruined their life by existing. They weren’t even trying to be mean, they just casually mentioned that their lives were brilliant before me, then after I was born everything turned to shit and they’ve been miserable ever since. FML
Today, after going to my friend's house for the first time and seeing how their parents treat them, I realized that I’ve never once experienced parental love in my entire life. FML

Your true parents are the ones who raised you! I think it would be best to forget about your bio parents. No one needs dead beats like that in their life.

I heard the cost to raise a child is to around $300,000. Tell them you'll lend them money once they pay that.

I totally agree. Blood doesn't make a family; love does. I'm so sorry your birth parents are assholes OP, but on the other hand I am sooo glad you were not raised by them.

Well. this is one of those moments when my best friend who is also adopted would say, "That's why adoptive parents are better. They picked you. Biological parents were stuck with you. I'm highly desirable because I got picked." then would end that statement with the words "na na na boo boo stick your head in doodoo"

Your best friend sounds awesome! I never understood why some kids feel unloved by their birth parents or like they don't belong. I just want to say to them, "Your adoptive parents literally chose you! They saw a bunch of other kids, saw you and saw something in you that was special and made you stand out, something they had to have in their family, that they couldn't live without. They chose to love you and treasure you, nothing was forced. How incredibly awesome is that!" I love that your best friend gets that!

Exactly. My friend's story is sad, but I will not post it to this comment. If you want to know what her story is, message me. But, whenever I would ask if she wanted to meet her birth parents she would say, "**** no. They don't deserve my awesomeness."
