Today, my life is so devoid of love and joy that I seriously considered making junk food my full-time hobby, in the hope of getting diabetes and dying from it. At least that would be a pleasant way to kill myself. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I was meal-planning for the week, and sent my fiancee a grocery list with the stuff I needed. She ignored the list and bought nothing but junk food. I guess we can just eat cookie dough and sugar cereal, and die of diabetes in our fifties. FML
Today, I discovered that I am going to the store, buying junk food, and eating it almost every night… entirely in my sleep. So much for being healthy and not dying in my forties. FML
Today, I've zero motivation to even live life. I've stopped doing even the little things I like. My husband tries hard to cheer me up and keep things going, but I just want to curl into a ball and die. I'm too scared to take depression medication as it makes me fat. FML
Today, I began to daydream about going on a diet and losing some weight. As I did so, I unknowingly reached for a giant bag of chips and ate the whole thing. Now, I have stopped daydreaming and am sitting alone and depressed. And I'm all out of chips. FML
Today, I actually thought of faking my own death to get away from my girlfriend and her insane, overbearing family. FML
Today, I’m trying to be healthy. My friends suggested I keep junk food out of the house so I don’t crave it. Yeah, that didn’t work. My car wouldn’t start so I actually made the four-mile walk to the nearest grocery store to get junk food. FML
Today, I was online looking up ways to lose weight, get thinner and be healthier, all the while eating a slab of brownie that was half the size of my head. FML
Today, I tried thinking of the best way to kill myself without leaving my body intact enough for people to continue to judge. FML
Today, my parents want nothing to do with me because I can’t stop spending money. Buying junk food is the one thing that makes me happy, and I’ve been to countless therapists and tried every medication. FML
Today, I ate 30 chocolate pocket brownies, two caramel chocolates, two Budweisers. All of that while on my breaks at work. I'm a guy and I'm worried about getting diabetes while i'm actually craving more chocolate and sugar treats, my body is getting weaker, I'm getting dumber, fatter, and slower as we speak. FML

Diabetes would be a shitty way to die. Often there's blindness and amputations before death. Making junk food could become a lucrative side hustle. You'll make so much money, you could purchase love and joy.

There are quicker ways to kill yourself. End stage diabetes can include the loss of feet or legs. It’s not a pleasant way to die. It’s a whole lot easier to put fat on than to take it off. I urge you to seek professional mental health help because this sounds like depression.

Why not sign up for a cooking class, or learn how to knit? You don't have to overeat--you need a hobby. See if your local community center has some classes on various things, and try them out. Something fun should come up, and it'll make things a lot better. Cooking is actually a good place to start--you need to eat healthy meals, so making them fancy can be fun--but you can branch off into all sorts of things.

Diabetics is not a good way to go. My dad lost half a foot, his kidneys failed, he has heart attacks, and he suddenly stops breathing from time to time. It’s a horrible thing to go through.
