Today, I found out on Facebook that my supposed best friend bought a concert ticket to a show. The concert ticket cost the exact same amount as the plane ticket she told me she couldn't afford to come see me. FML

Today, I spent hundreds of pounds buying my best friend concert tickets to see our favourite band, complete with a meet and greet. I drove over very excited to pick her up to take her. She had already left. With her boyfriend. FML
Today, my ex-best friend reached out just to be a dick. We all had tickets to a concert and she decided that she didn't want to go. She said that I could find someone to sell her ticket to, and I did, but then she sold it to someone that I'm not friends with anymore, and told me that she "can do whatever she wants :)". FML
Today, my long distance friend-with-benefits informed me she's now in a relationship with an amazing guy. I should be happier for her, as even I admit he is perfect for her. Too bad I just spent over a thousand dollars on plane tickets to visit her. The tickets are completely nonrefundable. FML
Today, I found out that my dad paid for my sister's friend's airplane ticket so she could attend my sister's wedding. I would have been there myself, but I couldn't afford the airplane ticket. FML
Today, my friend, who had begged me to buy them a plane ticket after being stranded overseas, blocked me. They didn't even use the ticket. FML
Today, a friend texted me to get a ticket and go to a theme park with her tomorrow. I bought a ticket and didn't hear from her until 5 hours later to say she was sorry, but she doesn't think she'll be going. It was $65 and non refundable. FML
Today, I bought my girlfriend two tickets to a Broadway show that was coming through town she really wanted to see. I couldn't attend with her due to work so she said she would take her mom. I found out later she took her ex. Now they're back together, and I paid for the date that made it happen. FML
Today, I generously paid for my best friend to go to an event she's wanted to see her whole life. Instead of thanking me, she brought her children and made me pay for them too, complained that I hadn't chosen the seats she wanted, then blamed me when she got on the wrong train back to her hotel. FML
Today, I thought I was doing a nice thing when I spent hundreds of dollars to get my friend a plane ticket home. She yelled at me when I gave it to her. Turns out, she planned on spending a few more months freeloading off me. FML
Today, after having a fight with my BFF, she invited me to come along to a party. I found out later that she'd only invited me so that when returning from the event, we could take a taxi and split the cost. FML

You don't want the best for your friend? She obviously must have been excited to go to this concert and when you called she didn't want to hurt your feelings so she told you she couldn't afford it. A little white lie to keep from hurting your feelings. Get over it. True, why don't YOU go see her? Stop being a whiny little bitch and move on. You are such a selfish asshole. If you tell a little white lie to not hurt someone's feelings, you don't go posting the truth on facebook. I understand what you mean, but the friend is obviously bad at not hurting peoples feelings with white lies if thats the kind of thing she does. Just saying. =)

Well obviously she couldnt afford to go see you if she bought the tickets! but eh. its kind of selfish of you to think like that. i know i wouldnt skip a concert to go see my best friend. especially if the tickets were the same price (which i highly doubt is true)

visiting friends is really expensive, besides the plane ticket. plus, you never know, it may have been a jack johnson concert, you make money for that lol dude, stop being lame, find new friends or you go visit her.

give her a break, its a white lie, she is in a way a good friend, protecting your feelings by telling you she cant afford it rather than telling you than you are a horrible person and that she doesnt like spendind time with you
