Today, I opened my front door to be greeted by what I can only describe as the stink of death. After moving furniture and lifting floorboards, frantically searching for whatever had died, I finally discovered the actual source of the stench - my girlfriend's feet. FML

Today, I got a new roommate in the dorms. When I got back to my room, I could smell her feet before I even opened my door. FML
Today, I found dog poop in my room that had probably been there for days. My girlfriend, who was watching the house, said she didn't realize it was there, because she thought it was the smell of her own farts. FML
Today, I found the source of the bad smell that has been plaguing me for the past two weeks in my apartment. The police knocked on my door asking if I've seen my neighbor recently. I haven't. The smell has been that of a dead person. It's a smell that even Febreze can't remove. FML
Today, I walked into the house only to be greeted by the strongest smell of dung. I asked my mom about it, and it turns out she's been airing these strange herbs throughout the house, most of which are in my bedroom. She won't let me open the window. FML
Today, I came home to the vilest stench I've ever smelled. I had to open a floor vent and scoop up the turd that was inside. Funnily enough, today was the day my scumbag roommate moved out, but I'm sure he had absolutely nothing to do with it. FML
Today, I returned home after a four day weekend at my parents' house. Upon entering by the front door, a horrid stench assaulted my nose. Hours later I still cannot find the source of the foul odor. I'm starting to wonder if this is how it's always smelled without my knowing. FML

Today, I walked into my apartment after work, only be to greeted by an awful smell. I searched every inch of the place, convinced something had died. After an hour of searching around, I found the source: a single forgotten boiled egg in one of my backpack's pockets. I will never forget the smell of sulphur or whatever it was. FML
Today, I found out that the horrible stench haunting my apartment for the past week was the decomposing corpse of my freedom loving gerbil underneath the bed that I've been sleeping on. FML
Today, I discovered the source of the vile stench in my room. My daughter had "saved" a bird from our cat and put it in a box under my bed, hoping to nurse it back to health. She forgot about it, leaving the corpse rotting in there for who knows how long. FML

Does she work in a place where manual labour is required? Moisture is probably the reason why. Me and my wife both work at a hardware store and when she comes home I usually have to attack her with odour eaters.

After the way you described the stench of her feet like death, I got shocked when reading "my girlfriend's feet". For a second I thought you found only her rotting dismembered feet. I think I need some more sleep.

I hope you weren't too hard on her! A lot of people have that issue and they are usually aware of it and extremely embarrassed. Maybe offer helpful advice or research some medication she can use for her feet, I know there are creams and other things you can use to prevent it. Remember to be gentle with her feelings! She might have already tried to come up with a solution herself in the past so don't give up on her!

My son had this problem. Turns out it was a fungal infection. Daktarin foot spray killed the smell within 24 hours and he was cured in a week or so. If it's not a one off from wearing synthetic shoes without socks, take her to a pharmacist - or a doctor

Yeaaah, no. I drink almost a gallon of water every day and my feet stink like nightmares. The bacteria that causes it is not impressed by the water flushing. Ventilation & some over the counter remedies usually fight it fine, also not wearing closed shoes all the time in hot weather
