Today, I told my husband it would be great to spend an evening with a bottle of wine and a pile of blankets on the balcony of our cabin during the cruise. He decided it would be great to ditch me and go out gambling. FML

Today, my husband called me selfish and ungrateful then canceled the cruise he’d booked as a surprise. I only asked if we could get a sitter for the kids. I’m a stay at home mom who homeschools and co-sleeps. We never get a single minute alone, so excuse me for wanting some adult time. FML
Today, I hired a babysitter, so my husband and I could spend some time together and work on our failing marriage. I dressed up. We went out. He got drunk and puked on me. FML

Today, my fiancée informed me she wants us to go on a cruise for her birthday. I replied, "Ahhh cruise ships, the Walmart of the Seven Seas." She threw a mixer at my feet and told me I ruin everything. FML
Today, on our honeymoon, I found out my husband brought his work laptop with him. We were supposed to go scuba diving but he skipped it for virtual meetings, then sat on his laptop until 2 a.m. He then had the nerve to be confused about why I’m mad at him and just want to go home. FML
Today, I had the day off from work. I did all the chores hoping to free up time to spend with my husband tonight. When he came home, he looked around and decided that since there was no need for him to stick around and help clean, he'd head to the bar to watch the game with the guys. FML
Today, my husband and I had a huge fight because I booked us on an adults-only Virgin Voyages cruise for our anniversary. I love him, but he wants every single vacation to be a family vacation with our kids. FML
Today, I spent 12 hours in an airport rather than go back to the apartment of the man I traveled to see for the weekend. Instead of wine, dine, sixty-nine, he took me to a tailgating event and introduced me to two girls he had a threesome with. FML

I don't get why her idea trumps his ideas? Let him gamble and while he is gone get all ready ( shower-shave-makeup ) and when he returns do the balcony thing! Honestly! It's called compromise!!

When I first read her FML I thought she wanted some alone time with wine, it wasn't until the end of the FML that I realised that she ment to do that with him and this FML was written with plenty of opportunity to think about the wording... Thinking about how I reacted as a teenager (and some of my friends still do...) I think the following happened: she suggested her idea, he disagreed and said he wanted to go gamble today, he left to go gamble, she throws a hissy-fit about not getter her way emediatly. It's a cruise? Your idea isn't limited to that one night, you can rearrange it if he really felt like going to the casino (because maybe a special opening night? or because he already made plans with other people he met? because he misunderstood just like me? or just because he felt like it), just go cuddle with wine on the next day.

When you go on a cruise like that, it's a real craps shoot. I'm sure he is still loyal, so if he meets another woman I'm sure he won't poker. If he does meet some hot 21-year old girl dressed like a slot, he'd just be playing Russian roulette with his marriage if he were to cheat. If I were you, I would roll the dice and let him have his one night out. Then tomorrow you can enjoy the wine. Sounds like a deal. Good luck.

Strip pok 'er in the bed couldn't have changed his mind? In his defense it's not everyday you get to gamble on a cruise ship. Cruises are a fun vacation with so much to do. Personally, I wouldn't want to spend it in a tiny room either. I'd be drinking next to the pool playing dominos!

Well, It was probably one of those multi-day (like week long) cruises, so he could have gone gambling another night. The cabins with a balcony are fairly large (and expensive), so if one pays that much one might want to take some time to enjoy the view, especially if the time is around sunset and you're facing west.
