Today, my boyfriend of several years, and father of our one-year-old child, finally proposed. He was making idle conversation from twenty feet away and casually said, "By the way, you wanna get hitched?" This is as romantic as my life will ever get. Yay. FML

Maybe he wanted to know if you were interested in marriage before spending a load of money on a ring? Or maybe he jut isn't very honestly you need to get over it op, just be happy you're getting married!

My father proposed to my mother in almost exactly the same way when I was about a year old. They have been happily married for over twenty years and still have a very romantic relationship.
