Today, I'm in a relationship with a guy who yells at me everyday for things I didn't do, is in a dead-end job and is not attractive whatsoever, but I can't bring myself to break up with him because he would get to keep the dog. FML

Today, I realized I'm trapped. I might be heading into an abusive relationship that I won't be able to escape, but I can't leave because then I'd break his heart and I love him too much for that. FML
Today, my fiancé and I broke up, and he won't answer my calls or texts. I don't want him back; he has my dog. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I broke up. He now argues that he should keep the dog. We only dated for three months, and I've had the dog since I was ten. FML
Today, I'm stuck in a bad relationship with a man who won't work to get ahead in life, and whose family looks down on me for being a different race. If I dump him, I'll have to live with my racist dad, who will smuckle endlessly about how I "learned a lesson for dating outside your race." FML
Today, I went to see my boyfriend with the intention of breaking up with him. Instead I discovered that he lost his job today and has to move back in with his parents. I can't bring myself to dump someone who's already crying about his horrible day. Now I have to comfort my soon-to-be ex. FML

Today, the dog my now ex-boyfriend and I own together bit me bad enough that I needed stitches on my face and my hand... he then broke up with me and saying it was all too much for him and has kept the dog... FML

wow that does suck. Chances are he would only want to keep the dog because he would be mad at you for the break up. I bet he would just get rid of the dog after a while. If he respected you any he would give you the dog for being such a jerk. Otherwise people steal thing from each other all the time

talk to him. tell him how you feel. maybe hew will not be such a douche and work something out. if all else fails just leave and take the dog with you. then you can have a friend shake him up good if he tries anything.

What did you go out with him just for his dog? He yells at you, works a job you don't approve of and you do not find him attractive. If someone thought this way about me I would hope they'd break up with me. Stop wasting his and your time. And get your own dog!
