Today, I discovered that I needed to reapply for my job in order to have a chance at keeping it. The applications closed yesterday. FML
Today, after I applied for an IT position at work, and a coworker I’ve worked with for 3 years, who said she had no intention on applying, wished me luck and told me, "I hope you get it!" it's now a week later and it turns out she applied the next day, got the offer and accepted. I had to find out a week later from a different coworker. FML
Today, while waiting for an interview at the career that I've been spending months tailoring my résumé for, I was thrown up on by my only competitor. Guess who got the job. FML
Today, I interviewed potential employees for a job position that I was supposed to get promoted to. FML
Today, I e-mailed an employer to ask about a job I had applied for earlier. The employer in question was on vacation. The person who replied had the position which I had applied for mentioned in their signature. FML
Today, I applied for a new job as a maintenance technician. About 10 minutes after submitting my resume, I received a rejection letter. My girlfriend is their HR person. FML
Today, I went to start my new job, only to find out that the guy who hired me had no permission to do so. I had to fill out another application, and complete another interview and I still might not get the damn job. FML
Today, my job application for McDonald's was rejected. This is the second time. FML
Today, I got a call from the only company that asked me to come in for an interview of the many applications I submitted. I answered it even though I was at my current job. My boss heard and chewed me out. The call was to cancel the interview since the position was filled. FML

Maybe OP sucks at their job and they started putting out ads 4 their replacement ....im @ wrk right now and if the gurl in the office next 2 mine were 2 check online she'd see that we are currently accepting applications 4 her position (Not that she would understand why that would be a problem 4 her Smh) *Sighs*

I know someone who started working at this place that wouldn't hire him. When they realized he was working there with no pay, they gave him the job.

Seasonal employees at some companies also have to re-apply... I work at a movie theater during my summer and winter breaks only, and I have had to re-apply twice before because the system automatically boots employees after three months without working.

this happened at my friends company they are closing her branch so she has to reapply for the same job she already has to stay at the company. i think thats what the OP meant but it was just poorly worded

my dad did that he didn't get the job but the hired as a temp to teach the guy they gave hia job to for 200 dollar an hour
