Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, the couple who had written the offer we had accepted for our house withdrew it because apparently when they came by for the home inspection, my next door neighbor's teenage son tried to sell them heroin. FML
Today, I met my new neighbors. The first thing they did was build a fence. FML
Today, I found out the friend I signed a lease with is actually a wanted drug dealer. I only found this out after the police kicked in the door at 5am and raided our house. FML
Today, my next-door neighbor decided to become a rapper. FML
Today, my new neighbor broke into our new house because his key didn't work. We just closed on the house this week and changed the locks when footprints were found in the bathtub after the cleaning crew went through. FML
Today, my new neighbors moved in across the street. Also today, they began to park at the end of my driveway. Not used to a car being there, I backed out and promptly hit it. Welcome to the neighborhood. FML
Today, I got home and noticed people were looking at my next-door neighbor's house that's for rent. Peering closer, I realized my ex-boyfriend and the girl he cheated on me with a few months ago were inside. After they left, the "For Rent" sign came down. I've got new neighbors. FML
Today, my in-laws moved in. FML
Today, I moved into my new house. The previous occupants failed to tell me that they'd recently kicked out their crazy crackhead son, who seems to think they've paid me to pretend that they've moved out and that I'm the new owner. He wants back in. FML
Today, the neighbors' kid got a new airhorn. FML

Just because there is one meth lab in the neighborhood doesn't mean the entire neighborhood is full of druggies. You'd be surprised to know how many nice neighborhoods have drug houses in them that no one knew about. At least the police are on top of it.

Damn. That would have been one interesting "welcome" gift from your neighbour. ;-)

You don't have to worry about them being there if they already got arrested.

YDI- the suburbs are more prone to drug labs then the city. But like everyone said, at least they were busted.

Get your house thoroughly checked for contamination.

This isn't an FML. Honestly, whats so wrong with drugs?

It's pretty obvious whats wrong with drugs when they're illegal and potentially very, very dangerous. Especially people under the influence of drugs such as meth can be unpredictable, violent. Not that weed is legal, but there are varying degrees of what can be wrong with drugs and meth is pretty much the worst of the bunch. Though I agree it isn't an FML for other reasons.

I know of some really reputable areas in my city where meth-labs have exploded or been discovered. They pop up *everywhere*. It doesn't necessarily mean your neighborhood is bad or unsafe, or that property prices will "plummet" as someone said. That is in fact far from the truth of the matter.
