Nice "friend" you've got there
Today, I found my "lost" bicycle in my best friend's garage. I've been having to catch two buses to get to work for the past few months. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I thought my car had been stolen because I couldn’t for the life of me find it in the office car park. I panicked and called the cops, only to remember I had taken my bike to work. FML
Today, I took the bus home after visiting a friend. Standing in front of my house, I realized that I had forgotten my keys. They were still in my car, which I had parked at my friend's place and forgotten. FML
Today, I went to retrieve my stolen wallet from a train station. After I collected it, I returned to the place where I'd parked my bike, only to find that my bike had been stolen. FML
Today, I decided to bike to work. I normally forget the key to my lock, so I leave it out back and hope that nobody takes it, and nobody does. I finally remembered my lock key so I chained it up. After my 7 hour shift, I walk to the back only to find the lock had been cut, and my bike was gone. FML
Today, the university bike permit that I'd ordered half a year ago finally arrived. Unfortunately, my bike was stolen months ago. FML
Today, I didn't secure my friend's wheelchair well enough to my car roof before giving him a ride. It flew off mid-drive and we still haven't found it. FML
Today, I biked to the store to buy a new lock, since biking is my only form of transportation. I left my bike unattended for the last time, only to come back with a new chain, but no bike. FML
Today, I found my bike that was stolen a week ago in front of someone's house. Now this wouldn't have been a problem if my husband didn't steal it to go meet with his girlfriend. FML
Today, I went on a 50 km bike ride with a friend. We stopped for a break halfway through, and locked our bikes up. When we returned, some guy had locked his bike to mine. We had to wait an hour for him to return. FML
Today, I went out to where I'd parked my bike only to find that someone had stolen my bike seat. Not the bike, just the seat. I had to ride my bike two miles home in the rain like I was climbing a hill in the Tour de France, while other cyclists moved out of my way in confusion, all while trying to avoid me. FML

"why" "are" "we" "using" "quotations?"

Before you accuse them of theft break the ice by asking if they grabbed your ass :) 65% of the time, it works every time!

I think you should start telling people your friend "fell" and broke his nose. And give him a nice surprise punch to the Face! Meow :)

Maybe he forgot it at his friends house? Nothing in the fml says his friend stole it.

Lost is in quotations
Sonic_boomerang 5
Could also mean forgot

oh right he forgot it at his friends house... "FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS". if he had forgotten at his friend's house then his friend should have said something. and if he didn't forgot it that means his friend stole. either way his friend is a dick or a thieve. and don't even say oh well maybe he didn't realize it was in his garage. cause i find it hard to believe that someone can have a VEHICLE in their garage for months and not notice

I have seen many garages that a bike could easily get lost in, maybe this is the case...no need to jump to assumptions...
Kittem 10
I would talk to your friend and try to find out the reason WHY it was in their garage... >> And make them buy you lunch for the spent bus fare too, lol.

Hopefully somehow your fist "found" his nuts
bamwizzle 7
Why not get a new bike if it caused you so much inconvenience? :/
That0therguy 4
I'm sure your talking about all the bus trips. ?
salsa324 0
Well now he found it
bamwizzle 7
Yeah of course that's what I meant, like during the time OP lost his bike, why not get a new one to save himself all the bus trips?
laden_swallow09 35
It costs money to buy a new bike, money that's used for groceries, utilities, and - dare I say I say it? - bus fare.
laden_swallow09 35
That was redundant. -dare I say it?

Finding long lost bikes is what friends are for!
EmAnRap 2
Maybe you lost it and your friend found it and he kept it in the garage and hes been meaning to tell you bu hes too busy
That0therguy 4
That explanation is just as lousy as your spelling, my good sir.
False_Stupidity 42
But plausible, we don't know how long the bike has been in the friends garage, formal we know his friend only found it the day before. No doubt ill be thumbed down on this, 'cause people love to assume the worst.
doggiemcwoofwoof 2
Just walk up to him an punch him in the face an say u owe me bus money

I think there are better ways to handle this. A simple kick in the nuts would suffice.

Or... Steal something of his

I can't explain how much of a fail this is...

Maybe you left it there when you last got baked at his house? Dude, Where's My Bike. You needed the exercise anyways. I know the bike is excellent aerobic exercise, but avoiding weirdos, drunks, urine puddles, nut-punchers, pickpockets, and lunatics that use public transportation developed other muscles!
Daralea 21
Not to mention it builds your immune system and tolerance for loud, screeching children.
Daralea 21
Yeaa, I thought saying it out loud would help to make it true, but no, I still can't stand loud, screeching kids on buses.
HomeAl0ne 20
On buses? Oh, I thought you meant the noise they make as they go under the wheels. Music to my ears....
HomeAl0ne 20
And on the original topic, I can imagine his friend ringing up and saying in a sleepy voice "Hey man, guess what? I found my garage! It was wrapped around your bicycle. Totally weird..."
