Today, I'm a college student working at Dollar Tree. The signs hanging every 10 ft, plastered on every box, every wall, every corner, say "Everything's $1." Someone asked me how much something was, because there was no price tag. This happens multiple times a day. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, while working at a dollar store, I was clobbered by a woman because apparently, I was ripping her off by charging two dollars for two doughnuts. She didn't understand that she couldn't buy multiple items at once for one dollar. FML
Today, I work at a craft store. One of the things we sell are wooden numbers. If I had a dollar for every time a random kid took all the 6's and 7's and lined them up across the floor, forcing me to stop what I'm doing in order to go put them back, I'd probably have more than $67. It's an almost daily occurrence. FML
Today, I work at a general store and a customer came in trying to bargain a set price of an item. The item? A 50 cent candy bar. He wanted it for 34 cents. This is not the first time he's done this. FML
Today, at work, a guy tried to buy me for a dollar. I've only been there a week and it's the third time it's happened. FML
Today, my workplace was having a "prices are down" promotion. I had to wear a badge that said, "Down and staying down" all day, opening myself up to a lot of weirdos winking at me or saying, "Oh yeah, I bet you are". FML
Today, my boss is beginning to hate me. Why? Because people keep coming to my register with one or two dollars worth of stuff, then paying for it with hundred dollar bills, ignoring the sign saying not to do that. I’ve had to ask him to refill my till after every transaction. FML
Today, a lady came into my workplace to pay her $120 bill in one dollar bills. I kept losing count. FML
Today, my mom tried to get me to shoplift. From the dollar store. FML
Today, at my retail job, a woman came to my till with her purchases. After I scanned all her items, she handed me two small bags. One was filled with nickels and dimes. The other was filled with cents. Her total was $28.53. The coins amounted to $22.30. FML
Today, I was giving a tour on campus when one of my friends approached us and said, "Don't go here, the weed's too expensive." and walked away. Thinking he was coming back to say he's joking, he instead says, "Just kidding, it's really cheap." and walked off. I may or may not still have a job. FML

Is the store invaded by homeless fish scented vagrants? Across from a stank ass Church's Chicken? And this is a regular occurrence? The store must be in Philly. It's the only explanation.

My mom actually asked how much something costs in a dollar store one. Luckily there weren't many people around.

I work at a store where everything is between 77 cents and $3. Our thing is "if it isn't marked in any way, it's a dollar." The 77 cent items have signs, while the 1.25-3 dollar items have stickers. I have this exact conversation every day: "How much is this, it isn't marked?" "If it's unmarked, it's a dollar." "So, this is a dollar? Because it's unmarked? Same with everything else unmarked?" It's a little frustrating, but those of us who work in the stores see it everyday, so we understand it better.

No Shit!!! I work at Dollar Tree too!! I get that shit everyday!! But I love when its genuine like they have never been to one before. Then I **** with their heads lol
