Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my mom and I went to Winn-Dixie. I told her I was going to a different isle 5 minutes later I hear my name on the intercom to go to the front of the store. As I go I see my mom crying, she comes and hugs me and tells me she thought I was lost. Im 22, I had my cell phone, and I drove there. FML
Today, I was at IKEA with my parents. I walked away from them and later I heard the speaker of the store call my name asking me to come to the playground because my mom and dad were worried. I'm 18. FML
Today, I went shopping with my mom. I went into my department and tried on some clothes. After a few minutes, there is an announcement that a child has gone missing. Staff are searching the store. I see my mom and she hugs me in tears and yells, "I found her!" I'm almost 17. FML
Today, I was in Walmart with my mom. I was looking for some CDs I wanted and saw a cute guy. Then he nodded at me and as he started to walk towards me, I hear my name being called over the intercom. Apparently, according to my mom, it was time to go. FML
Today, I was in a store with my mom. I wandered off, then walked around looking for her. I spotted her, and decided to put on a ski mask to give her a scare for a laugh. I hid around a corner and yelled "BOO!" when I saw her. It wasn't my mom, and I'm now banned from that store. FML
Today, I went shopping with my parents. Halfway through, I got separated from them and tried to call them only to find out my cell phone battery was flat. A few minutes later, an announcement was made for a lost child. It was by my parents. I'm 36. FML
Today, while at the grocery store, I saw my mother. I thought it would be funny to scare her by sneaking up and grabbing her ass. Not only was it not my mom, I left the place with a ban from ever returning to that store. FML
Today, my mom and I went to Best Buy for some Christmas shopping. She picked up some presents for me and told me not to look at what she was buying. When we got to the register, she didn't have enough money, and I ended up having to buy my own presents. FML
Today, I walked into Best Buy to buy a 42" widescreen TV I'd been saving up for many months. As I walked in, a man stopped me and handed me my wallet that I'd accidentally dropped. I thanked him. Five minutes later at the checkout, I opened up my wallet to realize it was empty. He had stolen everything. FML
Today, I walked into a store, grabbed a shopping cart, and started browsing. After 15 seconds, I realized I was in the wrong store. The cashier watched as I awkwardly returned my cart and walked out like I totally meant to do that. FML

It happens.

Well that was certainly a well thought out and insightful comment.

No, that doesn't happen to most people.

15- Not once they get past a certain age anyways. For example, I haven't gotten separated in my mom in a store since I was 15 years old!

Generally, qualification for first comment... 1st comment = worst comment.

The pressure of getting first comment strikes again!

The employees burst out laughing after you saw you were 17? Grammar fail.

It's really funny when they want to use the cute pet names. You get to see the kids bright red in the face if they show up.

reminds me of Freddy's mom from iCarly

64- icarly sucks its full of wanking no good buggers

Those employees are douchebags though. There's no reason to burst out laughing in front of you and your mom, save it and laugh later instead of being a jackass.

There were so many amazing buys who wouldn't get lost in the prices?!?!

My mother would do the same thing. I'm 19 and if we separate at a store she insists on both of us having our phones out "just in case". I feel your pain. :(

It's a possibility. I'm 16 and I have never, nor will I probably until I get a job, had a cell phone.

Well that sucks.

51 according to whoever put you at -1 you are lying and everyone anywhere owns a cell phone at any age.
technochik3 12
62- That is not true. I knew someone at my last college that doesn't have a cell phone. What about homeless people? Not everyone in the world has one.
gc327072 31
Woah guys, sorry for the über lame comment. I honestly don't even remember posting that. Damn, I need some sleep.

68- You do realize 62 was being sarcastic, right?
TXjuggalo972 6
Yes 68 because a homeless person's favorite thing to do is to walk into best buy and look at the things they can't have.

I used to work at Best Buy and something like this happened once. Except it was more like, "TELL JESSE THAT I'M LOOKING FOR HIM AND IF HE IS NOT UP HERE IN FIVE MINUTES, HE HAS TO WALK HOME." Good times.

If you're 17 and got lost at Best Buy, I'm going to guess that it has happened more than once. Sounds like mama had a good reason to call you to the front.

I've gotten lost in a large Walmart once when I was 24. They're tricky to navigate.

The Best Buys I've been in are pretty big. Maybe OP just stopped to look at something and they just got separated and OP either a) doesn't have a cell phone, b) their cell was dead or not on them, or c) mom didn't try calling the phone in the first place and instead flipped out and ran to an employee.
GothickNihilist 15
I've gotten lost in large stores dozens of times. Getting lost does not equate to being slow , it sometimes just happens.
unknown_user5566 27
Okay, okay. Fair enough. I still think mom likely called her via the intercom due to OP getting lost often, though. But I shall admit defeat and retreat back to my hiding place on the idea that 17 year olds shouldn't get lost in stores.

30- now now... We've all had our fail sundaes...

I'm wondering whether OP really meant "lost" or was she just "separated from mom". No matter how big the store is, you can always walk to the front (eventually). I'm not sure how one gets "lost".

Go wank yourself dead

Sorry, typo

Moms are awesome at embarassing people -_-
TBelle4Ever 15
My brother and sister really embarrassed my mom once. They wanted her to come to the front of the store so the called her over the intercom by a fake name that she would know. The name was Anita Bath. I'm not saying she needed a bath but she knew their kind of humor.

ViQValentine 3
Agreed :o My boyfriend was with me and my mum when we were camping and she kept asking me if I wanted to go put on her "sexy see-through shirt for him". It was funny but I didn't get embarrassed.. I almost did, but no xD
Tuffay 14
You are 14... Your Mom is a C*NT!!!

Lol, op, your pain! I feel it! I've seen it happen more than once, and I've been a victim of it before.

You should have acted special to save face. Then again..

Yeah, some moms don't want you wasting money on 'Lost' DVDs.

I see what you tried to do there.

Is it bad that I actually found that quite funny :S *conflicted*

Aw, come on, that was funny.
