Lonely dude
Today, after my boss asked me to work late on a Friday and I'd agreed, thinking it would show him my dedication to the corporation, I got to the office. I realized after a while that I was the only one there, and the building's security system had locked me in. I spent my Friday night talking to our office goldfish in an empty row of cubicles. FML

a simple call to building/company security would have resolved that. This seems like a sit-com plot.

I'm sure it's the most stimulating conversation you've had with coworkers for a while. I'm not sure the goldfish would agree. It has probably seen a lot of grubby suck-ups humiliate themselves for brownie points.

unless you're a complete wuss and afraid of your own shadow, I would have either called my boss or security.

You don't have Internet over there? If I was you, I would have browsed the Net while waiting for security and/or my boss to answer. This site is usually allowed at work.
