Today, during a sex ed lesson, we were given a lecture on pregnancy and abortion from the school nurse. Throughout the session she kept repeating, "Of course, Sophie knows ALL about this." The nurse happens to know that my dad's a gynaecologist. That's not what everyone else in the year thinks. FML

Today, at my job as a second grade teacher, I was explaining to my students how I'm pregnant and will have to take a break from teaching after I have my baby. One of my students replied with "Ooooooooohhh Ms. Johnson had sex!" FML
Today, while my teacher was demonstrating how to use the ultrasound equipment, we all figured out that I'm pregnant. FML
Today, I picked my 12-year-old daughter up from school after her first sexual education lecture. She burst into tears on the way home explaining her fears of being pregnant with her boyfriend's child. As if that doesn't sound bad enough, I've met her boyfriend before. He is imaginary. FML
Today, my 6 year old daughter somehow learned about sex. She also had the open house at her school where she meets her new teachers. When the teacher asked where she came from, she said, "My daddy's happy sacks." FML
Today, in high school, we had a presentation about sex, condoms, etc. After a while, the lady explained that we should get to know our sexual organs better. "For example, my daughter looks at her vagina in front of a mirror to check it out." I’m her daughter. FML
Today, I sat down with my daughter to have the sex talk, because she recently started seeing a guy. I mentioned at one point how disappointed I would be if she got pregnant. She went wide-eyed and asked, "Didn't mom tell you?" FML
Today, my mum was watching a program about sexually transmitted diseases. Later on, she started telling me that I should be careful and use the right protection when having sex. Suddenly she stopped and said, "Actually, I don’t know why I’m telling you this, you don’t have a boyfriend!" FML
Today, I found out that my 8-year-old daughter somehow learned how babies are made. Sort of. I found this out when we had the open house at her school where she meets her new teachers. When one teacher asked where she was from, she replied, "My daddy's balls." FML
Today, my psycho abstinence-only sex ed teacher claimed condoms give 50% protection at most against pregnancy. I couldn't help but correct her. She apologized for her "mistake", saying, "It's just that we're not ALL sluts, Kara." Now everyone thinks I'm a raging whore. FML
Today, I gave a safe sex speech to teens at my local high school. This was just ten minutes after my girlfriend had texted me telling me she's pregnant. FML

It might be because the dad might come home and talk about is job. At least, that's what my dad does as an anesthesiologist..

1, if only the nurse had mentioned what OP's dad's profession was, then it wouldn't be so awkward for her. I'm hoping the nurse was older because she (most likely, not all) would piece together that if she called out a student in the class, she would need to explain why the student knows so much. Still, it's pretty inappropriate that the teacher would single a student out in class like that. Especially with a topic like sex-ed, where some students might be embarrassed to speak up.

If if bothers you talk to the teacher about it, she should understand. Or if you don't want to talk to her, you can raise your hand and comment on something, and slide what your dad does for a living in it somehow so everyone knows.

That's when I'd bust out, telling everyone about my dad's profession & then look at the nurse & say, "by the way, dad wants to know how that ointment is working for you for your "not so fresh feeling."" Lol. (p.s. That's a Family Guy reference. I find I'm being to clarify my references to avoid looking like a sick f***) lol

The nurse didn't mean to offend her by the looks of it. She clearly meant that the student probably knows all about without stating the fact that her dad was a gynaecologist. Saying that is just plain rude and would probably get you in trouble.
