Independence day

Today, my boyfriend of four years broke up with me because he wanted some independence. He moved back into his parents' house. FML

Halloween

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.

There are occasions where you meet parents who are more liberal and easy-going than the person's love interest.

Besides living with his parents need not mean living off his parents. Don't diss at him so bad.

I don't think " independence" is in his vocabulary. Either that or he mixed up the definitions of " independence" with " DEpendence". FAIL

He doesn't want "independence" - he wants to shag* around. <Footnote for Americans and the confused:> * "shag" is a UK slang term for "copulate". It derives from the antiquated term "shake" which was used as a derogatory description of brief, frantic, intercourse. It is also a seabird, but that's not really relevant.

But still, four years hurts less than five... Just had to throw that in there. Sorry though, OP

What's with people giving the dumbest excuses for breakups?
