Today, I was shopping, and tried on a skirt that was a size smaller than usual, thinking that I would fit in. Not only did it not fit, neither I nor the sales assistant could get it off me, because the zip got stuck. She had to cut me out of it. FML

Today, I tried on a sweater in a store. It was a bit tight, but I managed to get it on. When I tried to take it off, it got stuck halfway. After several failed attempts, a sales associate had to help me out of it, while other customers watched. FML
Today, I got stuck in a dress in the fitting room and had to call the sales associate for help. She had to crawl under the door to rescue me. FML
Today, I was at my friend's house, and I asked if I could try on one of her dresses. It was a little snug, but I got it on. When it came time to take it off though, it wouldn't budge. My friend and her mom had to cut it off me. FML
Today, I tried on a tight sweater at the mall. It got stuck halfway over my head, and I couldn’t get it off. I had to shuffle out of the changing room, arms trapped in the air, and ask the clerk for help while blinded by the fabric. FML
Today, I tried on a dress for prom. It took a while to zip, but I insisted it'd fit. I asked for help. When the lady finally managed to zip all the way, the dress completely ripped at the seams. Not only did I have to pay $169 for it, but the lady told me, “We have more dresses in the plus-sized section!” FML
Today, I received the beautiful dress I'd ordered on the internet. It's a size smaller than my usual, just to encourage me to lose weight. I managed to fit into it and wear it all day, but I've now been struggling for a couple of hours to remove it without tearing it to bits. FML
Today, I tried a polo neck sweater on at a store, and when I tried to take it off, it got stuck halfway over my head. I panicked and tugged harder, only to realize I was now stuck inside, unable to get it off. A store employee finally saw me struggling and came help me. I'm never going back there again. FML
Today, I was trying on clothes in a store that had just screens set up for changing. As I took off the first pair of pants had I tried on, my foot got hooked in the cuff and I fell out in my underwear in front of the whole store. FML
Today, I was excited about my friend going wedding dress shopping, so before I went to go work out, I decided to try on a prom dress from high school to remember what it felt like to get dressed up. It was too tight, I broke the zipper, and spent 45 minutes trapped before I cut myself out. FML
Today, I went shopping for a new pair of jeans. I was feeling good about the fact that I was going down a waist size until the cashier decided to discuss with me, three co-workers, and the ten other people in line how she didn't even know jeans came in sizes that big. FML

I feel like OP wrestled the skirt on before it made it to her waist. Which, at least you would think, would suggest that it did not fit.

44 - Different stores/brands have different fits. Sometimes a brand might make clothes that run a bit smaller or larger than 'typical' sizes, so the OP might not necessarily be wearing clothes that are too tight.

Different stores have different sizes, but for it to get stuck to the point of not coming off, she would had a hard time getting it around her knees. Now, why would you proceed to zip and button up, when you are obviously too big?

Size is just a number. There's no need to squeeze yourself into a smaller, less flattering size.

I think people aren't understanding that the zipper got stuck, or what that means. Maybe it was a BIT of a squeeze, but not something that she absolutely struggled to get on. A zipper getting stuck can make it hard to get out of something that IS your size. God knows it's happened to me.

I thought that too. Usually you can tell what's going to happen before the zipper even goes up. If one size down was that tight on the OP, though, I have a feeling that she's just squeezing herself into the bigger size, and SAYING that it fits. Which must be just so attractive to look at...
