Tight

Today, I tried on a dress for prom. It took a while to zip, but I insisted it'd fit. I asked for help. When the lady finally managed to zip all the way, the dress completely ripped at the seams. Not only did I have to pay $169 for it, but the lady told me, “We have more dresses in the plus-sized section!” FML

Halloween

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.

Not exactly sure why you'd want to spend a night stuffed like a sausage in a too-small casing.

Dress your size. YDI.

if you're not 'petite' then shop accordingly. I've had to watch my weight my entire life so I can say that. you're lucky the dress didn't cost more. maybe you can find some fabric to add to it

Sorry, you break it you bought it. The instant you had trouble doing it up you should have stopped. Best case scenario it would have been a faulty zipper, but this was definitely worst case and now you're out $169.

always remember that the sizes are inaccurate based on where you are at. if it isn't fitting easily there is nothing wrong with going a size up. that stores sizes may run small.
