Today, it's National Girlfriends Day. My boyfriend stood me up, blamed it on his mom, and then decided he was going to go hang out with his friends. FML

Today, my boyfriend stood me up. At dinner with his parents. FML
Today, my boyfriend took a day off from work because he felt "sick". I thought he might come see me since he hadn't come over in a while. Nope, he went to hang out with his ex instead. FML
Today, I canceled all my plans because my boyfriend wanted to go on a date. He didn't mean with me. FML
Today, my boyfriend decided to visit me at work. With another girl. FML
Today, I was going to break up with my boyfriend for taking me for granted and being such a jerk. He didn't even show up for our date. FML
Today, a couple of days after my boyfriend came on a night out with my friends but made us leave early as he had an early work shift, he's now spent the last two nights out with his friends, late, and all my friends are busy and a bit peeved at us taking off early the other night. FML
Today, my boyfriend bailed on our one year anniversary celebration because his ex girlfriend asked him to go to a wedding with her and pose as her fake boyfriend. FML
Today, my boyfriend couldn't go on a date with me because his mom said no. He's 23. FML
Today, my boyfriend backed out on our date so he could help his best friend get ready for some kind of drag queen competition. FML
Today, my husband stood me up for his birthday dinner, that I'd made, in our house. FML

these "holidays" are most definitely out of hand...enough already! what's next? national empty cereal box day? of course that might be too broad of a description so each different brand and flavor of cereal gets their own specific day.
