Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my son took some of my underwear to school. What's worse is he sold it to his classmate for $10. FML
Today, I realized my wedding ring was missing. Turns out, my son had taken it to give to a girl he likes in the second grade. FML
Today, my phone died. I plugged it in to charge and then went out to run some errands. When I returned, my phone was no where to be found, and our shovel was on the floor, muddy and wet. I then discovered my 6-year old son had buried my "dead" 200$ palmpilot because he had felt sorry for me. FML
Today, my son texted me that he couldn't find his phone, so I went to go help him look for it. FML
Today, my dad let me use his phone. Five minutes later, he had my mom call it because he thought he'd lost it. FML
Today, my new iPhone was stolen from my school locker. After canceling my service, sobbing, having my mom yell at the secretary for their lack of security and finally agreeing to change to a private school, I found it in the corner of my locker. FML
Today, my phone got stolen at church. FML
Today, I posted my phone for sale on Facebook. Someone hit me up to buy it and wanted me to meet them. I didn't really want to drive to them, but I'm a mom of two and I needed food and some extra cash, so I did it. The guy asked to look at the phone… and ran off with it. FML
Today, I found out where all my missing panties have gone, when my 12-year-old daughter was caught selling them to the boys at school. FML
Today, during one of my first days as a teacher, a student stole my phone. FML

My nephew and niece are in this stage, the girl will take her older sister purse full of money and give it to her friend for a happy meal toy, it's ridiculous.

Who did he sell it to? A GameStop employee?

Should have haggled better, I would have easily been able to get 15$ for it.

Does your son own a trench coat by chance?

OP - I’m really sorry your son is so stupid. At 8 years old he ought to know better. Do be sure to track it down and get it back if possible. And that son of yours needs some serious consequences for this. I kind of like the idea of donating his favorite toys to a charity and DO NOT REPLACE THEM.

Well, sounds like that's a lot of allowances he won't be getting for a while. Not to mention a grounding.
