Get Back
Today, I learned a valuable lesson, never leave your "Let It Be" album, which you paid $489 for on eBay out on your desk. My brother also learned something, old records make for very breakable, one use frisbees. FML

Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I came home from work to find my kids playing Frisbee with my collection of rare, valuable vinyl records. The term "smash hit record" took on a whole new meaning. FML
Today, my little brother watched an old video of The Who, who are know for smashing up their guitars and such. He decided it would be cool to try it with mine. That guitar was worth over $3000. FML
Today, I accidentally left some music playing on my iPad, then left to do some errands. When I came back, I found it smashed into a million pieces. Apparently, grandpa couldn't find any other way to "shut off that goddamn music." FML
Today, the framed memorabilia that I spent $195 on last week came crashing to the floor. It was on my wall for less than 2 hours. The picture is torn and the glass is shattered, but at least the frame is alright. FML
Today, it's my birthday and I received a signed vintage Beatles' album from my wife. Awesome right? It's the same album some jerk way over-bidded me for on eBay. That jerk was my wife, using my credit card. FML
Today, I asked my father if I could have my grandfather's old vinyls, record player, and vintage tube radio. He told me he threw those out years ago because, "Who listens to that crap anymore, now that we have mp3s?" FML
Today, my brother inherited a book from our grandmother that, in his ignorance, he donated to a charity shop because he’s “not a big reader”. I raced to buy it back, but someone had already bought it. The book in question: a mint condition, 1954 first edition Lord of the Rings, valued at £5000. FML
Today, I finally had enough to buy my dream guitar, made in 1965. I buckled it into the passenger seat because it unfortunately didn't come with the original case. Once home, I tripped over my own feet before reaching my front door and scratched it on the concrete. It wasn't in mint condition when I bought it, but now it looks like it had a bad relic job. FML
Today, I lent a pair of expensive headphones to a "friend" for the weekend. As a thank-you, he bought me a soda. He moved this weekend, taking the headphones with him. I lost a $250 pair of headphones for a $1 soda. FML
Today, two days after getting a fanny pack so I could more easily store my stuff when I'm out and about, I accidentally broke it without even trying. Don't be cheap. FML

If my friends break any of my $0.05 records, there will be hell to pay. That's how much I love my Beatles records, hell if I turn my head to the left I can see them all. Also a quick search on ebay shows Let it Be for $5 on ebay, yours is probably signed or something, If the case is OK and the record is just like any old Let it Be record (not signed or first copy or something) just buy it off of ebay and whoop your brother's ass.

I'd like to think this is bullshit because no one would be stupid enough to pay almost $500 for a Beatles record. Let's use a little logic - the Beatles were and are one of the biggest, most popular bands on the planet. Millions of people bought Let It Be when it came out - all those millions of copies didn't vanish into thin air over night. Your dad or your uncle probably still has one in the attic. Go to any thrift store or used record store and you probably won't have trouble digging one up.

YDI for not putting it in a frame on your wall.

this is perhaps the most reasonable comment up here. But if i may, perhaps he had JUST recieved it in the mail, and had to wait till he got home from work to put it up? Or maybe still had to get the supplies. I still dont think the OP deserved it simply because he left something in HIS room that his brother decided to take and be destructive with.
