Today, my roommate found a solution to his awful body odor: bathing in vinegar. Now instead of smelling like a middle school locker room, the house smells like a chemical plant. I'm not sure which is worse. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, despite using deodorant religiously and showering twice a day, my roommate still smells so bad that every time she enters the room I become physically sick. FML
Today, I finally found out what the weird sour smell that's been in my dorm room for a while is. My roommate's sweat. FML
Today, I realized that my flatmate showers so little that the furniture she uses smells like BO. FML
Today, I cleaned my entire house. Ready for a fresh finishing touch in the bedroom, I grabbed the Febreze and lightly sprayed over my clean bedding, carpeting, and clothing. Then a pungent odor hit me. It seems someone forgot to label the bottle when they filled it with vinegar instead. FML
Today, I realized my morbidly obese, sweaty sibling is the source of a strange waft I've been smelling when I get home. He'll only shower once a week, so the apartment and furniture smell like sweat and sometimes poo, especially on hot days. I didn't notice until I went outside and stepped back in to follow my nose. FML
Today, I had to train a new guy whose body odor was killing me. After he'd left, I had to run two industry size fans to blow the stench out of my office. FML
Today, my natural body odor has gotten so bad that despite wearing 20 swipes of men’s deodorant under each armpit and taking three showers a day with an entire bottle of body wash, I still smell like a cross between onions and hot garbage. I’m a woman. FML
Today, my roommate stunk up the entire floor again with his rancid bathroom trips from spicy foods so much that I ended up wearing a t-shirt over my nose just to play video games in my own room. He gets offended when I tell him to open the bathroom window to vent it out. If only I owned my own home… FML
Today, a kid in class kept chatting to his friend, and was made to swap seats. Every time the guy he swapped with moved, the stench from his armpits wafted over. It smelled like nacho cheese crossed with ball sweat. It got so bad that I eventually had to go dry heave in the toilets. FML
Today, my boyfriend thought the garbage can in our kitchen smelled bad. Instead of cleaning it, he had it equipped with a Wunderbaum. Our entire house now smells like "New Car". FML

Here’s what you need to do. Yell “fire in the hole,” throw an entire box of baking soda on him, and run for cover.

The best solution to your roommates BO is to find a new roommate.

Why does this fake shit get through? bathing in vinegar? Really?

Spike his vinegar with olive oil. Then, he’ll smell like any suburban Olive Garden.

It's sodium bicarbonate, not baking soda. You want to get rid of the odor too.
RichardPencil 32
It’s both. Sodium bicarbonate is the chemical name for what is commonly known as baking soda.

Nice! Here’s a similar tip he might like: if you have a terrible headache, hit yourself in the leg with a hammer hard enough to distract you from the original pain!

If this is a odor that isn't washing off then he has a medical condition that should be addressed immediately or throw salad and oil on him tell him he's having Greek for dinner 😂

Am I the only one wondering how much it costs to keep that much vinegar around?

Throw lavender water on him and he'll smell as fresh as a Summer's Eve.

Tell your friend to drink more water.

If roommate is actually bathing in vinegar, that will stop when he gets a cut or abrasion. Nothing stings like vinegar on a cut or abrasion! But seriously daily soap and water and deodorant and brushing teeth don’t work on roommate’s stench? (And appropriate use of toilet paper when using the toilet too.) Either this person is absolutely lying about their cleanliness and sanitation or they have a serious medical condition that needs urgent attention. And you need to get a new roommate.
