Today, I had a look at the pictures my mom took during my birthday a couple of weeks ago. Every single one is of my sister. Her lighting the candles, her watching me open presents, and her eating cake. The only pictures of me are in the background. FML

Today, my mom took a picture of me. All she could say about the picture was, "At least your sister is pretty." FML
Today, I came back from college and visited my parents house. There was a new family portrait hung over the mantel of my parents and 2 sisters. My mom had always wanted one but always postponed it. It was dated the day after I left for college. FML
Today, I got a text from my mom shaming me for forgetting my sister's birthday. It isn't her birthday today, it's mine. FML
Today, my dad found the ugliest picture my mom has ever taken. I show it to her laughing. She said it looks like me. I looked again and it kind of does. FML
Today, I asked my mom if she had some good pictures of me for my resume. She gave me her phone to look through her gallery. I found a beautiful album of photos of me and my ex. FML
Today, I was perusing my mom's Facebook when I noticed that she has an album of pictures for each member of the family. All except me. Even the dog has his own album. FML
Today, I saw my mom's Facebook profile picture for the first time. It had all of my family members in it. I was cropped out. FML
Today, it's my birthday. The only people who wished me a happy birthday were the ones who saw the "birthday boy" poster my sister plastered around school, which included a photo of me as a kid dressed up as a girl. FML
Today, my dad has discovered selfies and my mom has discovered taking pictures of food. Now I'm at a restaurant, suffering through it all and not being able to eat anything until my mom has taken pictures of it. FML
Today, when I visited my grandmother at her nursing home, I was looking at pictures she had of all the grandkids. All were normal graduation pictures etc. but mine was a cutout where she made me skinnier. FML

What the hell is wrong with your mom o_O? Edit: I say on her anniversary offer to take pictures and make sure it's all of your dad and your mom is in the background :D!!!

#87 - Russian, every parent has their favorite. You know, the one who doesn't constantly whine and call you a bitch on Christmas eve because the parent didn't buy them their 15th Apple product + car. That one is the favorite.

Yes, No. 87, you are so right. And yet, so many parents do just that. There is no worse blow to self-esteem than being a second class citizen in your own home and to be treated as such by your own family, the people who should love and support you the most. How sad.

Well maybe they're asking because they want to be noticed? Even if their personality traits don't match up exactly the way you want them to. If you can't be a responsible parent, don't subject your helpless children to the world.

What have you done? Oftentimes, one kid becomes the favorite because the lesser ones have pissed off the parents.
