Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I received a LinkedIn connection request from my mom. Turns out, she's way better at networking than I am. FML
Today, my dad tried to hook me up with someone. It wouldn't be so bad if she wasn't my cousin. FML
Today, I found out that my parents are first cousins. FML
Today, I found out that my dad recently created a Facebook account for himself. So I friended him. He refuses to accept my friend request. He did, however, accept my sister's. FML
Today, I found out I was named after the woman my dad used to stalk when he was in high school. FML
Today, I checked Facebook, only to find out that my close cousin is now married. When I looked at the pictures, I saw that my whole family was there - including my sister, mother and father. I was the only one who wasn't invited. FML
Today, I was passed over for the job of my dreams. I now have to watch as a girl I have on Facebook - a total moron - boasts daily about scoring the position instead. Turns out the interviewer was her uncle. FML
Today, I came to find out that each person I've ever dated was either set up by my dad or by my sister. I'm fuming. FML
Today, I found out my boyfriend of a year is actually my cousin. Thanks, Mom. FML
Today, I found out the guy i've been crushing on might be my cousin. Again. FML

To endorse you while being a failure would be nepotism. Knowing how important LinkedIn endorsements are, you should work hard to succeed enough to gain your dad's.

To endorse a cousin who's already successful is overkill. On the other hand, maybe you're successful enough that your dad thinks he doesn't need to endorse you.
