eBay fail
Today, I discovered that the laser disc player I used to have was not in fact a laser disc player but a Pioneer Laseractive. Broken ones sell on eBay for $200 and working ones sell for around $1000. I sold a working one for less than $100-worth of credit at a second-hand store. FML

You should have done your homework first OP! They rip everyone off with the trade in credit.

And that is why you research before you buy or sell anything. And never trust the store workers. Those people have the darnest convincing powers.

Agreed, I like the show but would never sell them anything or shop there.

Checking eBay would have taken you 2 minutes. That's just lazy.

I didn't even know that Laser Discs were still around. I remember when they came out in the early 1990's; they really didn't catch on and were soon overtaken by DVD's.

I'm sorry but ydi how did you receive such a product and not become aware of any of it's essential information before selling it? Always do your research before buying and selling. At least now you probably learned a good lesson though!

It happens to all of us at one time or another. I guess that was the cost of that life lesson (always do your research). Don't sweat it anymore, OP!
