Today, I was on a dinner date. Went really well. She said she was excited to have date number two. It came to paying. I went up to pay. Turned around. She had gone. Number blocked. FML

Today, I went on a date that went well, until the bill came and she quickly shoved it in my direction, then went to the loo. Rude, but I thought nothing of it… until our waiter took pity and told me I’m the fourth guy she’s had this week who'd been made to pay for her. I paid half, then went home. FML
Today, I took a friend out for what I thought was date. After dinner was over and I paid, she pulled the bill out and wrote her name phone number on it for the waiter. FML
Today, I went on a date. I took her out to an expensive steak house. When she was done eating, she got up, said she was married, and told me she only accepted the date because I'd be paying for it. FML
Today, my date mugged me, just minutes after I paid our bill at the restaurant. FML
Today, I had a date with a girl I've liked for a while. We went out to a nice Italian restaurant for dinner. I was obviously going to pay, but when the bill came I realized I'd forgotten my wallet. When I told her, she thought I was a cheap liar and now she won't answer my calls. FML
Today, I went on a date with a girl my friend set me up with. I thought we got along great, until after dessert, when I asked if she'd be interested in doing this again. She just said, "Nahhh" then got up and casually left, stiffing me on the bill. FML
Today, I went on a date. After we finished our meal, I had to use the bathroom really bad. When I said so, my date totally lost it and accused me of planning on climbing out a window and ditching her. "Fuck that and fuck you!" she said, then stormed out, leaving me with the bill. FML
Today, while paying for dinner, my card declined and my date immediately left. The waitress then ran my card again successfully. FML
Today, my date unexpectedly brought her friend to dinner with us. They seemed bored of me after ten minutes and left me out of their conversation for the rest of the night. Oh, and they made me pay for both of them. FML
Today, I was on a first date. When the bill came, he refused to pay for my $6 salad. I had to go ATM-hunting to pay for my $6 salad. FML

Something between the intro when she said she was glad for the second date and the end at the restaurant when you were paying went wrong. Think back, did you monopolize the conversation talking about only yourself? Did you do or say anything rude to or about anyone else during the service and meal? Did you ask reasonable but general questions about your date to show you were interested? Do you chew with your mouth open? Did you get wound up talking about politics? There is one more possibility that might explain this in case nothing negative happened - Maybe she saw her current boyfriend or husband and had to duck and disappear. If that were the case you are better off not getting involved.

What do you mean, "maybe". Had three dates, three different people, zero second dates, especially since she admitted that she only was on the dating app to get free meals. Deleted the app. If I want to pay for companionship on a very short-term basis, I'll hire a hooker. At least they're honest about why they're there.

don't do dinner dates for the first couple. something small like coffee where you aren't spending a lot of money. these days women use apps like tinder, etc to get free meals more than anything.
