Today, at work, I got to wait on one of those tables where everyone had very complex orders, and some of them sent their food back. When the time finally came for me to bring them their check and receive my well-earned tip, I returned only to discover that they'd dined and dashed. FML

Today, I was making dinner for my family while my wife was at work. She walked in the door with McDonald's, even though she knew I was cooking. Then our kids saw and started screaming that they wanted McDonald's too and that it was unfair. I've told her not to pull this shit and she won't listen. FML

Today, after a long, horrible day at work and some fighting with my family and my girlfriend, I decided to cheer myself up by going to McDonald's for a change. I burst into tears when the cashier told me they couldn't make me a Mars McFlurry because they'd run out of ingredients. FML

Today, my mother resolved to never visit McDonald's again. Not because of ethics or health concerns, but because they charged her for extra barbecue sauce. She bitched out the man in the drive-through for a good five minutes, while I sat awkwardly in the passenger's seat. FML

Why did you use literally? What is figuratively paying for something? You may not be able to dine and literally dash at McDonald's, but you can always get the runs.

What does this even mean??? (Yeah, I grew up reading "Richie Rich" comic books back in the '70's, so I know who he is. What does that have to do with a 5-star review? And yeah, I know that you can't dash-n-dine at fast-food places.)

Not 5 star review, 5 star rating. Back in the day when yelp didn’t exist we relied on critics to tell us where to eat, sleep, and what to watch. So since you used to read those comics back in the 70’s you also know a critic report in the newspaper made or break a place. Like in Rattatoui.
