Today, I hung out with some old friends for the first time since losing about 50 pounds, going from clinically obese to a healthy weight. I even bought a cute new dress for the occasion to show off my new body. No one noticed the change. FML
Well not everybody loose weight the same way.
So for some people, especially if their original weight was very high, it might not always be perceivable by other people till a certain loss is reached. Might be the case !
Anyway good job on you ! It's a difficult thing you achieved !
I'm sure they noticed but didn't want to be rude. The etiquette around this is tricky these days. You don't want to imply that somebody used to be fat, and you don't want to praise being thinner too much because it might make you feel that your worth is based on your weight.

Who cares? You did it for yourself, and as long as you feel happy, that's really all that matters.

They poetically just didn't say anything because they're friends with you for you, not because of your body

if you went from clinically obese to a "healthy weight" by losing 50 pounds and no one noticed then you are probably not a healthy weight yet.

Just because no-one said anything doesn't mean they didn't notice. Besides, if it's been a while, their memory of you probably wasn't that fresh.

In a way that can be a good thing. It could mean that they never cared about you being overweight and instead cared more about being your friend.
