Caturday treat!
Today, I watched as my friend played dead to see how her cat would react. She got upset when he just sniffed her hand and walked away. I tried to explain to her that he was smart enough to figure out she was faking it, but I got called a "know-it-all." Jeez, sorry that cats are more intelligent than you thought. FML

I’ve seen videos of dogs just not giving a single solitary **** about their owners “dying” to check their reaction. I’ve also heard news items about cats yowling to alert humans to another human being in distress (like that Russian cat who kept a baby warm all night, screaming to get humans’ attention, and tried to enter the ambulance with the baby when help arrived). Just because animals aren’t smart enough to know when you’re pretending to throw kibble in their bowl doesn’t mean they’re not smart enough to know genuine distress from fake distress.

Fun fact: the reason the cat walks away is because if he was really dead the Cat would start eating it’s owner
