Today, as I'm 7 months pregnant and craving sweets, I helped myself to my MIL's birthday cake a little early. The family got so angry, they actually made me leave the party. My husband agreed with them. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my parents threw out the beautiful birthday cake my aunt made me, and served celery sticks at my party because I need to "watch my weight." FML
Today, I finally finished making my daughter's wedding cake. When I checked on it later, I found a large slice had been cut out. I soon found out that my husband had instagrammed himself eating it, with the caption "#guiltypleasures". FML
Today, while picking up a birthday cake, I was screamed at by an upset woman for getting special attention from the bakers, and that I was nothing more than an attention-hogging slut. The bakers are my co-workers and I was picking my cake up on my day off. FML
Today, my mother-in-law screamed at the top of her lungs in front of our friends and family that I was stealing her baby away from her. I'd only suggested we go home because he had a migraine. Her baby is 24 years-old and has been married to me for a year. FML
Today, my mother in-law made dessert. It was a beautiful chocolate cake, chocolate cookies, and every other thing had chocolate in it. I'm deathly allergic to chocolate and she knows this. FML
Today, my husband bought me a cinnamon roll because my blood sugar was dangerously low. My first bite was easily the most delicious thing I'd eaten since getting pregnant. As I sat in frosting coated ecstasy, my husband snatched up the rest of the pastry and finished it himself. FML
Today, I came home to my drunk husband, to find that he raided our fridge and freezer to soothe his beer munchies. That would have been fine, had he not eaten the top tier of our wedding cake I'd been saving to eat on our first wedding anniversary, which is in 4 days. FML
Today, my husband had a temper tantrum because I wouldn't get him a chocolate bar at the store register. FML
Today, my husband's mistress purposely and dangerously induced her own labor so that she would have the baby on my birthday. Yes, I'm divorcing him. FML
Today, while at a family baby shower, my grandfather thought it would be funny to inform me, in front of everyone, that I had gotten fat. I'm 7 months pregnant and the baby shower was for me. FML

Taking part of someone else's birthday cake before they're ready for it to be served is not ok. "I'm pregnant and craving sweets" isn't a valid excuse - in that case, you either bring sweets with you, ask someone at the party if there's anything sweet you can snack on or go out to get yourself something.

That's pretty ****** up on your part. You couldn't find anything else sweet to get you through the cake ceremony?

all smart procreating humans bring their own snackies. every pregnant lady will have snacks in their purse to take responsibility for their own body craving.

Yeah, that's not an excuse. I get having a sweet tooth, but have some self-control. That wasn't your cake and it wasn't time to eat it yet. This is the behavior of a spoiled child, not a full grown woman carrying one.

You aren't entitled to someone else's cake, and the cake is often the main celebratory event of the occasion, meaning you basically ruined one of the main events of that party because "I had a craving and decided to help myself to a piece." I'm not surprised the family, husband included, made you leave after that.

Your selfish.

using pregnancy cravings/hormones/etc as an excuse to be entitled, and then being shocked when your actions have consequences. who would have thought?!
