i always wanted to do this and i know its lame, but first!
that sucks though, maybe you can sue them if they fired you without a legitimate reason...
I don't know why it's so fascinating for you guys to be first. It's pathetic
Er, he never said anything about being first..
Excuse me?
Edit: so confused... it keeps switching out my comment with a first-freak
The first comment has changed since I answered this.
Good riddance I'd say, better off before the storm strikes ^^

Tell the wife that the husband said she is terrible in bed. Then tell her you are willing to help prove him wrong.
FYL that sucks. Was it a good job?
Better now than when the company is destroyed by those two.
These "matrix-style" management configuration never seems to be a good idea in most business situations, especially if there is poor communication and/or animosity among the management staff. Something tells me the OP could fight this, but nothing positive will come out of it for him.
Cut your losses, OP, and find a new job.
Just one more reason to steer clear of working for a family owned business.
So? Just go back to that other boss and ask your job back. He or she can prove it was wrong to get you fired ;-)
...yea... that is so easily a lawsuit waiting to happen... then u can be their boss =D (not literally of course but still)
i had the exact same thing happen to me, only the 2 bosses weren't even married, they were just friends having a falling out. :(
I think you should get them together and explain that this is unjust and that you hope you can work this out before you consult an attorney about filing an unlawful termination suit.
Just show back up to work, if either one asks why you're there just tell them the other person hired you back. they're fighting I doubt they'll figure it out for a few pay checks...
heh good thing you're in new zealand. It will be easy to take them to the employment relations authority.
Just what I was going to suggest :)
So? Talk to the either boss - the one that fired you might hire you back if they knew it was the other's fault, and the one that gave you the orders might hire you back after you reveal what the other boss did. Don't let them play you for a tool.
Just sleep with the boss that fired you. They'll probably be willing to hire you again, although the other boss will probably then fire you again. In which case you sleep with THAT boss, thereby perptuating the cycle. It won't put bread on the table, but it will it will sure keep your meat fresh.
Absoultely #23 - take them to court for unfair dismissal and demand compensation for wages lost.
That's wrongful dismissal. You don't have to take them to court, but complain to your workplace authority, who should then chase them up. If that doesn't work then it might have to end up in court.
aww that sucks dude... jokes though
lol that's why everyone says you shoud'nt have romantic relationships with poeple you work with
Wrongfully terminated hello. sue for your job back
This is wrongful termination, for sure. You could sue for billions!
it is wrongful dismissal but do you really want to go back and work there. Cut your losses and head for greener pastures :D
