Today, I woke up at 3a.m. to get ready for a "fun work retreat". After driving 2 hours to the site, I find that nobody is there. After about half an hour standing there freezing, I get an email from my boss, telling me that "It's canceled due to bad weather". FML

  • It sure is suspicious that no-one else showed up. Perhaps it was a ruse to lure you into the wilderness, while your boss and coworkers sipped brandy and smoked cigars in a log cabin far away. I suppose that's one way to downsize.
"Whatever happened to Steve from accounting?"

  • It's possible there was a message beforehand you were not made aware of, based on the fact no coworkers were there. That, or they were just smart enough to just stay home!
