Good one, dude
Today, I started my new job as a mail carrier. One of my assigned roads was Milbrooke Street, which I'd never heard of. After driving around for ages trying to find it, I called for directions. The street doesn't exist in my city; it's just the boss's way of seeing how stupid you are. FML

Lol,. In the army they'll have new privates fresh out of basic, to get a sample of exhaust fumes from the humvees,. Needless to say, there have been quite a few who would go outside with a trash bag and and attempt to complete assigned mission

You don't have a phone? With GPS??? If I don't know where a street is. I'll ask before leaving the building. Op YDI

Your boss is awesome; you're stupid as expected!

Who would want to call their boss on their FIRST day of working admitting that they don't know where a street is?

I look at this not so much as a stupidity test as an ingenuity test. Anyone doing their job as prescribed would be stumped by this, at Lear for a moment, the proving point is how they handle the adversity. It's not stupid to think the person above you on the ladder did their job properly.

At least*

I would be completely ****** without my GPS! Don't feel too badly OP. We all **** up, especially when we are nervous! :)

but if you are being paid to deliver mail to a street and you wait time and tax payers money you should. have asked
Locoluis 15
Exactly. Not knowing doesn't make you stupid, just ignorant. OTOH, fooling around the city for ages instead of asking when you don't know, now that's stupid.

So I'm guessing your pretty dumb, much like myself
AnyaS 19
Also, it would be "me" or "I am" and not "myself".
groovycrazyjoe 18
I didn't add much like myself part I figured the moderates did it
groovycrazyjoe 18
I use Swype that's why it said your instead of you're

Congratulations, you won the Darwin Award for this year!
SomeRandomGuy15 18
Because they were tricked into trying to find a nonexistent location? The Darwin Awards seem to have lowered their standards...

OP didn't die and didn't become sterile ("remove yourself from gene pool"). So how's darwin award related?

I guess you passed!

I depend on Siri for problems such as these. She likes to send me on wild goose chases but I still follow her blindly like an idiot

Ah siri the hard of hearing foreign lady that lives in our phones..

Google Now or bust. Apple maps sucks.

It's this new thing called GPS, google maps, etc! ... Invest!
DocBastard 38
Did you, oh I don't know, consult a map? No, you obviously thought driving around like an idiot, then calling your boss like an idiot, would be a better idea. Know what that makes you?

A Penguin?
zandalee 19
A lion?
FightMyLiger 19
Relax, #12. Guess you never had a delivery job. Sometimes street signs are stolen, maps are old or just incorrect, GPS loses signal or isn't updated. It happens... And when it does, who wouldn't call around to figure it out?

Taking the 'bastard' a bit far, eh Doc?
