Good one, dude

Today, I started my new job as a mail carrier. One of my assigned roads was Milbrooke Street, which I'd never heard of. After driving around for ages trying to find it, I called for directions. The street doesn't exist in my city; it's just the boss's way of seeing how stupid you are. FML

I have some beach front property in Ohio if you want to come take a look with me. J/k. It happens to the best of us OP.

Wow, your boss will surely keep you on your toes! Maybe look up directions first before driving? I understand if you were in a situation without a GPS or internet

At least you decided to call for directions. Some people would have been to prideful to call and would have driven around all day if they were in your position.

Boss told you to deliver the mail there. If absolutely no work gets done then you can blame him for sending you there. I would personally spend all day "looking" for it on his dime.

That is ridiculous, your new boss is a clown. How can someone possibly know all the streets of a town! I could understand if you have been mailman for years the one would know. but why would he fool someone like this.

And what kind of society do we live in, when we don't even have documents based on the layouts and names of locations? For shame.

We do have documents, it's called "line of travel" and all we have is to use GPS on our phones if you have it

That is not a good way to test your employees intelligence at all. How about testing you guys on routes that actually exist so he/she can sctuslly evaluate you properly

It is a good way. OP doesn't have to know all the streets, but should know how to use a map (a real map), a GPS, or ask for direction quickly rather then doing circles trying to find by himself.
