(0)YDI for forgetting
#2 - On 05/04/2009 at 6:52pm by SS60
(0)This happened to me, except with my email address. I found out I had forgotten it when the employer called me for an interview and asked me what my email address was.
(0)No email either?
(+1)I sent my resume by email this year and wrote a bunch of crap in my email about how I pay attention to details. I forgot to attach the resume : /
(0)lol Nice one. I had everything on my resume and guess what? still no calls or e-mails. So don't worry :)

(0)I don't understand how you could forget something like that on a resume. Probably a good thing though. You would have more than likely bombed at an interview anyway.
Just sayin'.
(0)I'm sure you feel pretty stupid right now. lol
nice one

(0)YDI for being an idiot....come on now...
(0)Grade A mOrON
(0)so? you must've put in your email. If not, you fail..
(0)epic fail for not including contact info. if i were a manager i wouldn't hire you just for the sole reason of being an idiot.
(0)Ouch, that sucks. :[
(0)#5- classic. I've done things like that. lol.
(0)Daayyyumn that sucks XD
(0)I did the exact same thing! except i didn't notice for months haha =(
(0)I can see myself doing that...

(0)You didn't add any other contact information? Not even e-mail? I'm assuming you didn't, otherwise you would have been contacted and they would have asked for your number. You know unless they didn't want you.
(0)Contact information should be the third thing you add. It usually goes like this:
Name(first thing)
Address(second thing)
Contact information(third thing)
Previous jobs(fourth thing)
Accomplishments/hobbies/other(fifth thing)
References(sixth thing)
(0)yeah not to nitpick but did you forget your email and address like everyone pointed out? If so, ydi, if not fyl
(0)you're a fucking idiot.
faschist communist
(0)HAHA yeah, I did include my e-mail and address. Most of the places I applied were through e-mail (which should be fine but doesn't set a good first impression since I didn't include the most basic information) and some were at retail stores, where they would least likely contact me via e-mail. Yeah, I felt incredibly smart today, LOL!
(0)Nothing makes a petty bottom level manager feel better about themselves than finding faults in a resume. It's the business world equivalent of clicking YDI.
(0)oh goshh burnnn
but its ok
its not like youre worthless or something man

(0)epic fail
(0)thats pretty stupid
(0)aw i did the same thing, but i sent incomplete resumes in response to craigslist job wanted ads..so it wasn't a huge deal.

(0)Aw man, sorry!
(0)good one :P
(0)I did a similar thing...except I was linking the wrong cover letter..instead of linking from my harddrive I was linking one I had on my desktop that was specifically written for a graphic design position for toys r us....so essentially I was telling every other potential employer how great Id fit in at Toys r us...LOL.

(0)hahaha thats ttly something i would do. try try try again!
(0)#22: Just shut up while you are ahead.
(0)lol wow.....prooreading wat u write is a good idea =).
(0)Donot worry about it. You can make an impresive one..
(0)Additionally, it's always a smart idea to have someone else proofread your resume - they might catch typos you didn't see. And stuff like that.
But look who's talking - I sent off an application once that started with "hello" because I forgot to double-check.
Got the job though. It was just a student job but I felt like an idiot when they quoted my email, asking me to schedule an interview.

(0)HAHA owned. Resumes have to be perfect.
(0)hahahaha but its ok i guess some people do that to....
(0)HAHA #34 = FAIL.
maybe next time YOU should try "proofreading".
(0)Yeah, you should DEFINATELY modify your resume.
(0)i think 5 failed more than you. except its easy to forget to attach. but still.. still..
woooooow. This is a RESUME, you are SUPPOSED to check to make sure it is poerfect BEFORE you print and send them out.
Well, that's 30 workplaces you won't be able to apply to with the updated one seeing as they're just going to remember you as the retard who forgot his phone number. And if you think they won't remember that, you would be surprised what they do remember. They all probably had a good laugh about it with their families at the dinner table, so yeah, they will remember.

(0)PROOFREAD
(0)That really sucks!
(0)Usually you look things like resumes over before handing them out...
(0)I did the same, except because i made mine in school i left the school phone number on it :(
(0)that should be one of the first things on there lol
(0)that should be one of the first things on there lol
(0)At least you've noticed it now... just call or e-mail all those people back saying you wanted to follow up, and leave your contact info. That's a perfectly normal thing to do after giving someone your resume, and if you act like nothing weird happened with the resume, they might figure they got a draft copy or some other fluke.
Next time, triple-check anything you give a potential employer. YDI.
(0)lmfao! wow like the most important thing you need
(0)lol
(0)I could see that one coming right in the first sentence.
(0)what a foool!!
(0)OMg thats sucks
(0)It's ok. It's not like you would have gotten any callbacks anyway. YDI
(0)You're only human ;)
(0)"opened it on word document"? I think you have more problems than just forgetfulness.
(0)wow. way to go.
(0)wow
(0)Uh. YDI for not catching that before... And it's not a big deal just send out another with your contact information on it. Not that hard!
