I'd bring it up. Too many people are afraid of confronting their parents, but this is fucking ridiculous. I'd definitely make them owe me something.

... Or I would make them feel horribly guilty by getting them something expensive.

OR I would do the same to them for the next holiday, like giving them a single candy cane on Christmas.
