Man or woman?

Today, my parents came home after being out of town for the weekend. I stayed home, did homework and completely cleaned the house, thinking I could earn some brownie points with them. They saw how clean the house was and accused me of covering up a party. FML

well then your parents don't trust you, i guess.

#3 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:00pm by Hannah

story of my life, but anyway you should have just told em you wanted brownie point XD

#4 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:00pm by mich23

if they already think you did you might as well have had one

#5 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:00pm by liz16

Have you done something like that before? Maybe that's why they doubt you and why you needed the brownie points in the first place.

#6 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:02pm by MukyDaCookie

I hate it when things like that happen. Did you get punished for the party you didn't have?

#7 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:03pm by foolsangel

damn taht sucks

#8 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:06pm by a7xforlife

no good deed goes unpunished, eh?

#9 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:06pm by zbots

I think you should throw a party the next time they are out. That way, at least when they get mad at you for throwing a party, at least you would have enjoyed one. =)

Fail #2

#11 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:15pm by WIDRR

Never clean anything ever again. when they ask you why you're so messy, tell them "I don't want you to think I had a party." See how fast they apologize.

#12 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:15pm by Ibeapirate

LOL at #12. But yeah..that sucks. At least now you'll feel accomplished anyways at the super clean house? Iuno - I always feel better when the house is clean.

#13 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:16pm by cchang604

#12 ftw. Totally.

My mom used to be on my sis all the time about total honesty. And when my sister was honest, she got house arrest... Parents can be weird sometimes.

#14 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:18pm by Etc80

lmfao #12. wow. that is gold. i wish my parents could go away. and id do that. but my parents would be suspicioous if i decided to ever clean anything, since my room resembles a tornado 364/365 days a year.

#15 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:18pm by jorygirly

It probably looked suspicious that you just cleaned the whole house for no reason. Next time they go away act really nice to them when they get back and maybe give them a couple nice gifts when they get back to mess with them.

#16 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:19pm by 420hiadventurer

Agree with #12.
Have THEM clean the house from now on.

#17 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:19pm by Nefaith

Urk, I know how it feels to have your parents not appreciate what you did. Happens to me all the time.

#18 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:21pm by nuKIYBan

haha wow
next time throw a huge party and leave empty beer cans all over the place
they wont suspect a thing!

#19 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:21pm by louisianagrrrrl

screw that! lol

#20 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:23pm by Kickinchicken213

Get out of jail free card.

Have them check with the neighbors (all of them) that there was no party. Then you are vindicated and have a free ride next time something does go wrong.

#21 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:23pm by free_Aus

Lol at #12 and #11. Been there though.. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. It sucks.

#22 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:25pm by wandaax03

brownie points?

#23 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:27pm by bill_william9000

my parents would accuse me of something like that. that is, if they would let me spend the weekend alone in the first place

#24 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:27pm by eschreib

agreed with number 10, 11, and 12 ;D

#25 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:34pm by lolwhat

haha well obviously your rents dont trust you !

#26 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:39pm by fml911

Next time, do throw a party, and leave it in a mess, when they ask "WTF!?"

Say:

"I didn't want it to look I was covering up, so I decided to leave it"

#27 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:45pm by Gringo

FYL for not having a party.

#28 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:49pm by will90

i have to say YDI. Only because....if youre going to be a good kid and do all that shit much less clean the house, atleast put it to good use before doing so.

#29 - On 04/05/2009 at 7:52pm by tipsypiink

wow trust issues haha there was no evidence of a party, so i hope you didn't get in trouble.

and don't listen to all these people, house parties suck when they're at your house. all you should have done is have one or two people over for some sex or something lol

hahaha #19

You should have just had a party.

#35 - On 04/05/2009 at 8:14pm by skierguy

# 12 , agreed (:

#37 - On 04/05/2009 at 8:32pm by dammn

Ugh, that sucks. That really wasn't a bad idea on your part cause that would have been a great way to show them how responsible you are if they weren't such suspicious people. =( Bad luck on this one.

#38 - On 04/05/2009 at 8:36pm by nuga

oh well thats fucked up! yeah i agree with #12. your rents have issues.,

#39 - On 04/05/2009 at 8:36pm by ohhhhshizzz

#40 - On 04/05/2009 at 8:36pm by ohhhhshizzz

Haha parents are hilarious. That definitely sucks, but next time you should just have a party. If you're going to lose either way, you may as well have some fun.

#41 - On 04/05/2009 at 8:51pm by tmlgurl

I feel like this was posted a couple weeks ago...

#42 - On 04/05/2009 at 9:27pm by percussionchic

#12, lmao.
definitely.

#43 - On 04/05/2009 at 9:56pm by idontsinkso34

Parents always love to try to make you look worse than you actually are. Haha.

#44 - On 04/05/2009 at 10:36pm by Benatron

#12 has it. Screw them. When they were teens they probably thew loads of parties when their parents left - that's why their suspicious. Being a parent isn't easy but some people just fucking fail at it. I don't know how you dealt with it.

#45 - On 04/05/2009 at 10:48pm by strangersdk

Haha, my mom always used to think I was doing horrible things and that she just never caught me. She'd ground me for really stupid shit to make up for things that she thought I'd done anyway. BECAUSE of that, I actually started doing whatever I wanted, because I knew she'd ground me regardless.

Parenting win.

#46 - On 04/05/2009 at 11:05pm by RhapsodyEternal

well, were you?

#47 - On 04/05/2009 at 11:46pm by ohreally123

#48 - On 04/06/2009 at 1:20am by outlaw24

youre lame

#49 - On 04/06/2009 at 1:54am by amy_shmamy

Well if you had thrown a party, obviously there was no harm done - the house is clean, nothing's broken, nobody's pregnant, etc - so what's the problem?

I thought that that same thing would happen to me, so I made sure to clutter my house back up after having a little get together.
I ended up leaving a beer cap on the table and a blacklight somewhere. Yeah haha I was a little dumb..

#52 - On 04/06/2009 at 3:05am by BBat

YDI for using the phrase "brownie points". Fuck clichés.

#54 - On 04/06/2009 at 6:19am by tsktsktsk

stupid, non clean house deserving parents.
PARENTS ARE NEVER GREATFUL FOR LOVE!!!!

#55 - On 04/06/2009 at 6:21am by carmel

hey same here! except i actually did have a party.. :/ hm

#56 - On 04/06/2009 at 6:45am by dontcallmekim

that's completely unfair of your parents brizzle. i'd tell them that you didn't have a party and that you decided you'd have a productive weekend doing homework etc. unless you have a history of covering up parties, being honest with them should work...

#57 - On 04/06/2009 at 7:09am by QiScorpion

High school most definitely suxxx!!!! haha but they couldnt be all that mad, plus it's still your fault for not having a party to clean up.

#58 - On 04/06/2009 at 11:09am by FrenchTickler09

Ugh, that sounds like something my parents would do. FYL.

#59 - On 04/06/2009 at 12:53pm by Logica42

Been in that situation before. It encouraged me to never clean again.

#60 - On 04/06/2009 at 3:03pm by PirateJack

Use to happen to me all the time when I lived at home, except I did actually throw parties. Anyways, if you're in your later teenage years, and your parents leave, and then come home to the house clean, they're going to assume you threw a party for the most part

#61 - On 04/06/2009 at 3:16pm by amandarocks04

YDI for not having a party...

#62 - On 04/06/2009 at 6:40pm by Rackergen

LOLLL 30. "For some sex or something."

#63 - On 04/06/2009 at 7:09pm by PTERONOPHOBIA

Hahahahaham #12, next thing ya know they'll be posting something like that here

#64 - On 04/06/2009 at 8:07pm by Angelol

You know, parents should notice that not all kids are diabolical insane party animals, and that sometimes, we just want to be their good girl/boy.

#65 - On 04/06/2009 at 11:55pm by PurryLucy

It sucks being accused of things you didn't do. Well, next time you might as well have the party and not clean up. Sounds like the same thing will happen.

#66 - On 04/07/2009 at 4:10am by YouDontSeeMe

hahahhaha aww that sucks.
my parents would def do that too loll

& HAHAH TO #12 and #19

#67 - On 04/07/2009 at 5:24pm by lalosaa

just don't help clean the house anymore. they can clean it on their own.

#68 - On 04/07/2009 at 10:53pm by cantth1nk0fnam3

my parents say the same thing everytime they get back from anywhere.

#69 - On 04/08/2009 at 1:02pm by shloppyJoe

AWWWWW >.

#70 - On 04/09/2009 at 1:06am by peazeful

I agree with #68. A fitting punishment for their presumption.

#71 - On 04/09/2009 at 4:39am by damn_man

Brownie points??

#72 - On 04/10/2009 at 6:42pm by comebckkid14

Thats why when I have a party at my house, I don't make it look neat, just realistic.

#73 - On 05/02/2009 at 1:23am by Zapdemon

#73 is right, my parents are the same way so i just make it seem like nothing happened not spotless because i wanted to clean.

#74 - On 05/04/2009 at 12:46am by Blunted

my parents wont even leave me overnight

#75 - On 05/13/2009 at 9:39pm by ritalinboy

Ouch, dude, that sucks. Your parents seem to have issues with trust.

#76 - On 05/23/2009 at 11:46am by yeahitstella

#77 - On 06/15/2009 at 11:38pm by redfred5
