I'm not real sure what happened. Describe better, someone?
The showerhead kept falling off, but instead of fixing it, the maintenance guy only flipped it 180° so that it points up.
I don't understand your description allmidnighteyes, so please accept my apology if I mis-understood you, but my understanding of OP was that she hadn't screwed her shower head in properly. Just as you would tighten... nut and bolts, the maintenance guys just screwed it in.
I kind of thought that the reason it kept falling off was cause it wasn't tightened enough and that's all they had to do and she's feeling crap cause she didn't realize it was something so simple and now she feels stupid. But I'm confused now since you brought up a different perspective...
I was confused when I read this too, I thought that she had put the shower head on completely backward so the water sprayed out in the wrong direction, like toward the wall and was like what the fuck? How did you not notice that? LOL. I think I get it now.
LOL .. I had the same problem. My asshole roomie even chipped the bath tub by putting back the handle without tightening the holder screw. You need to tighten the screw for the holder and don’t worry about the plastic you see in the holder it won’t break just tighten it as much as you can.
If I understand this right, you're pissed at them? If so, how.. stupid are you..?
If I understand this wrong, then it's just normal clumsiness. Get over it.

I'm assuming you rent, then?
Start taking pictures or video of whatever is broken, before and after the so-called "repairs". You could potentially sue the landlord or property manager for breach of contract (providing they knew their repairmen weren't doing their jobs). Get evidence, then go to court if this has happened several times.
That's also assuming I read your FML correctly. It's very confusing. Do you mean that they didn't fix anything, just came in, dicked around and left, in which case your shower still has problems? Or do you mean that they came in and solved a very simple problem for you and you're now kicking yourself for not noticing something so obvious?
I'm assuming the former.
WTF??
That made absolutely no sence. It says right in her post that they turned the shower head around, then left.
Meaning they fixed a very simple problem.
Wow. Maybe read more carefully next time...
The FML was worded quite awkwardly, so I wasn't sure what the poster was referring to that made her life so fucked. God forbid someone doesn't understand something, right? OH Lordy Lordy, it's a crime against humanity! Save me Jeebus!
This doesn't even make sense. Do you even know what you're talking about?
I'm pretty sure what shes saying is they replaced the shower head, but didnt tighten it fully so it kept moving. So they came back and all they had to do was tighten it.
was this a waterpic type shower head?
it sounds like they weren't returning the shower head to the holder correctly.
YDI, shower heads get wider towards the mouth. You should have realized it was upside down in the first place.
This is very confusing, the way you've written it. Is it supposed to be an FML because maintenance didn't do anything worthwhile to fix your problem, or is it an FML because it was an easy fix and you missed it?
I have no clue what you mean when you say they "turned the shower head around"... is it facing towards the wall now? Because that's kind of what I'm envisioning, but that can't be right.
Today, I read an FML worded so badly that I wasn't entirely sure what happened in it. FML.
I agree. Maybe whoever moderated this one can explain it.
Right on. I say let the douchebag who moderated this FML gives us all a proper explanation as to WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!!!!
LoL. We're all English majors here. :-)
Illiteracy abounds these days.

Yeah I'm pretty confused myself. I rarely if ever call my landlord to fix issues. Guess I'm just lucky I own tools and know how to use them. I never wait on them to fix stuff. Besides it just pisses them off to have to fix stuff in my experience with all of my landlords.
ummm so something doesn't work and the first thing you do is call someone to fix it, why attempt to fix it yourself? you moron
I was saying I USED TO call my landlord and it always pissed them off so now I just fix stuff on my own. Its easier and way more hassle free.
What the Fuck? The maintenance worker probably looked at you just like we are...
I think maybe it's the kind of shower head that has a hose and a handle that fits into a slot. I would guess that it was put into the slot upside down, not backwards and so it would slip out and fall.
OP's username is "BadatDIY". Apparently she's bad at explaining too. This post confused the hell out of me for a bit.
It's your damn fault because no one knows what exactly the fuck happened...
Yeah, I don't get it either. And I'm usually pretty good at interpreting the fuck-wit FMLs.
she means to say that they screwed it back on... which she obviously hadn't tried.
wdf
this should have been posted by one of the guys that came to do the repairs, not by you. then it would have been a FML. still, thanks for sharing. i feel better all of the sudden for fixing myself the door bell and some of my sockets and for putting up some shelves with the drill press - while being a woman :/
wait a minute.. so they just screwed it in? i dont get it.
Ok so.... Either Op Is a dumb ass or Maintenance sucks ass at their job.
