Today, my boyfriend gave me a card for my birthday and told me to open it 10 minutes after he'd gone; I waited for 5. In the card was written, "It's not working out, but here's $20." FML

They have a new hallmark card. It has a timer so that boyfriends can set it in two modes. Basically if you had waited 10 minutes, the card would have expressed how much he loved you and all. But since you opened it 5 minutes earlier, it was programmed to "dump" mode and deposit 20 dollars. :) :) I kid of course. That sucks though what happened. You should use that 20 dollars to buy him a card and leave 10 bucks for him.
