Today, I turned 22, without anyone wishing me a happy birthday. In fact, the only phone call I received all day was from my brother. He wanted to borrow money. FML

That happened to me on my 16th birthday... except nobody asked me for money lol turns out though that everyone was ignoring me on purpose for a surprise party later on. I don't wanna get your hopes up, but MAYBE that's why?

This sortof happened to me, I am at college and it was midterm break, and my twin sis, my bff, and my other friend , and I were basically the only ones on campus, so I decided since it was Sunday, after church, I worked 6 hours instead of my usual three.

That actually happened to me last month on my 22nd birthday. I had only one friend tell me happy birthday.. my gf was cheating on me that day.
happened on my 18th birthday while i was still living at home.... they didnt realise till the next day when I asked my mom to take me to the DVM to get my license

Lmao, I can feel too sorry for you I don't get asked for money but my 15th no one said happy birthday to me. On my 22nd my mother was in the hospital, I bought a bottle of everclear was ditched by even my brothers and when my one brother came home he found me passed out with a third of a bottle left. He decided to wake me up, I then proceeded to vomit for the next 3 hours after which i fell asleep then the next morning i had to clean it up. No one said Happy birthday to me at all except a message from one person on facebook.

I'm so sorry to hear that!! When i was a kid, my parents forgot my birthday three years in a row because it's three days after x-mas and the day before their anniversery. then finally, the next year i got a gift AND a card AND a cake . . . with my sister's name on them.
they never asked for money tho . . . well, anyway I wish you a happy birthday!! :)

My 22nd birthday was yesterday too. My mom express mailed me a gift, but the post office didn't leave it in my mailbox. I went to pick it up this morning, and it was a card. $13.50 for a card.

Wow, same birthday and age as me.
If it helps, happy belated birthday. I got nothing to; my only family, my Mom, went on holiday the day before. Didnt even mention my birthday. Despite being on the birthday list at work, and 'donating' £30 a year for staff birthday presents, noone even wished me a happy birthday. I took a cake in; people just took a slice, and left in complete silence.
So yeah. Happy Birthday.
I am sorry. :-( Nothing is worse than when people you deem important to you don't mention your birthday. I hope you enjoyed yourself anyway and had a wonderful Birthday.

I would say get used to it, it has been years since most have remembered my bday. You gotta stop expecting people to remember and tell everyone. Don't forget, as you get older, so does everyone else and their memories aren't as good.
