Man or woman?

Today, I was taking a nap. Apparently, my two year old daughter decided to crawl on top of the covers on my bed because she was scared since there was a thunder storm. I thought she was one of our cats so I kicked her off. She hit the wall. FML

#1003 - On 11/29/2009 at 3:40pm by cetko13

ima just go out on a limb here and say that maybe the OP didnt kick all that hard.... I dont know if im normal or not but my bed is in the corner of the room, against two walls..... so maybe when the OP kicked they actually just raised there leg up and pulled the covers out from under the kid and the kid fell into the wall???

#1010 - On 01/11/2010 at 3:17am by jisaac09

this doesn't sound like it should be your fml, op, sounds like it should be your kid's!

#1018 - On 01/30/2010 at 1:30pm by talonbronson

Darwin's Theory of Evolution/"Survival of the Fittest" at work.

Great job OP, you're helping homo sapiens continue their evolution by killing the offspring of the weak and stupid -- presuming of course you killed your child by kicking her that hard against a wall.

If not,

well you're still a fucking dolt.

#1022 - On 02/13/2010 at 5:37am by epound28

ive had 40 lb dumbells crawl on me before, my first reaction was indeed to kick it

#3 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:02pm by jeanniner

#4 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:03pm by mystomachurts

He was asleep thought, does anything here think straight when awoken unsuspectingly.

#985 - On 09/16/2009 at 5:46pm by FML_Add1cT

It's an animal though, and doesn't deserve to be kicked just for crawling on the bed anyway.

#1017 - On 01/28/2010 at 4:50pm by tdawgheath

That's terrible. I agree with one, why would you kick a cat that hard anyway?

Is your baby ok?

#5 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:03pm by Thespianism

Fuck the baby, hows the wall? If theres a dent then FYL, that shit's expensive to fix.

how did you manage that. if your 2 year old is heavier than the cat and you manage to throw your child to the wall then what would have happened to the cat. i can't even imagine.

#17 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:06pm by Geist

Well, you really shouldn't have cats, if you're so aggressive. I'm sorry for your kid though, I hope she's ok. Fuck you're daughter's life.

Animal abuser. You would just kick ur
Cat off ur bed

#55 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:14pm by tushu

I can understand the mistake, which I won't blame you for.

However, you kicked a 2 year old hard enough to slam her into a wall, that may have killed a cat outright. What the hell is wrong with you? You can push a cat off of you gently, and they will leave. Kicking an animal against a wall is absolutely abusive, and you shouldn't own cats.

Poor kid, and poor cats.

#56 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:14pm by Seegtease

Why would you kick your cat anyway?? MAJOR YDI.

1. I am pretty sure kicking a cat THAT FUCKING HARD is fucking animal abuse.
2. fat cat much?
3. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!?? At least look what your kicking at and you should be able to tell it was your own fucking daughter.

You Totally Fucking Deserve This!

#79 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:22pm by setpratwet

HAHAHAHAH. Come on people, we have no idea how far away the bed was from the wall, where the kid was exactly in relation to the OP, etc. I've kicked my cat out of my bed before, but it wasn't a hard kick its just the only way to describe it. My cat doesn't seem to care. Honest mistake.

#80 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:22pm by JessTrek

why were you taking nap, you should have been supervising her anyway with h being two. And why would you even consider kicking your cat. ydi

#81 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:23pm by Shanny

why the hell would you be kicking what you thought was your cat, with enough force to throw a child off the bed? YDI for being a cruel person to your pets

#82 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:23pm by modifiedchick

Guys. I honestly doubt in her /sleep/ she was going "HMM. AHH, YES, I KNOW THE PRECISE WEIGHT OF THIS VERSUS A CAT. PERHAPS I SHOULD ANALYZE IT FARTHER BEFORE HAVING A KNEE-JERK REACTION." People do really dumb things in their sleep, because, y'know. The whole being asleep thing.
Also, you never know. Their bed could be really close to the wall - why automatically assume that the wall was feet away? I doubt they powerfully send their cats kicking - seeing as my cats climb on my face at night, I usually nudge them off my bed at night, via my foot.

Yeesh, people assume way too much.

#83 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:23pm by poprockxmassacre

people who post "their" opinions should try not to be so stoopid

#990 - On 10/25/2009 at 10:36am by catwest8686

CHILD ABUSER!!!!!

#84 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:24pm by angeldo6695

#10, 14, & 16- just because you kick your cats off the bed doesnt mean your an animal abuser. it means you dont like to be bothered when you sleep. jesus.

#85 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:24pm by twilax101

Jeez...too bad it wasn't the cat! Sorry to hear that you did that to your kid.
It probably wasn't too hard of a kick; the kid may have been near the edge of the bed, which may be close to the wall like my bed is...and you people are overreacting WAY too much. Cats are very resilient, and you don't even know how hard this person kicked the animal.

#86 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:24pm by gdiggs

Dude how could you not tell that was a person!!!? How fat are your cats??

#88 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:25pm by Closer

i agree w 4. either ur cats must b huge or u have one tiny 2 yr old. plus how did u manage to kick her into a wall? all u have to do to get cats to move is nugde them alittle

#89 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:25pm by candyapple1

Lol that's funny; but why would you even kick your cat that hard?

#90 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:25pm by mcflyy6969

#83, "nudge" is different from "kick" even when done with your foot...

#91 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:25pm by palmtrees

I don't see how you idiots could be so dense. She probably tried to shove it off with her shin as people do all the time, not a full force kick, which wouldn't cause any harm to the cat at all. The difference was it happened to be her toddler, with crappy balance/motor skills and hit the wall, which I imagine is next to the bed. Not to mention she was probably half asleep. Lastly, I'm sure she feels worse about what happened to her kid than about what any of you assholes think.

#92 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:25pm by xanth

#103 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:29pm by ocd4bway

xD People take this so seriously. Half of these things are most likely made up anyways, folks, I bet this is a 17 year old wanting to get a rise out of people. There probably is no 2 year old or poor mistreated kitties. Such a shame.

#104 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:29pm by poprockxmassacre

Ok, so I totally sympathize here once when my now 7 year old was 3 I awoke to the sound of my husband screaming NO STOP! What happened was my son had come to our room in the middle of the night and fallen asleep on top of our feet and in my sleep I thought he was our German shepherd and my husband woke up just in time to see me almost kick our son off the bed, luckily he was able to wake me up enough that I only pushed him a little before I realized what was going on but it could have been was worse.

YDI
1. why would you kick your cat off the bed?
2. im assuming you 2 yr old is tremendously bigger than your cat. if it would have been your cat, you probly would have killed it.
you're an ass.

#138 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:37pm by BethanyKimberly

you shouldn't have been kicking that hard anyway.

i actually think it was LUCKY that it was your kid; kids are stronger than cats. while your kid's probably just a little banged up, you could have seriously hurt your cat, or even killed it.

#139 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:38pm by organismal

If you kick a two year old hard enough to hit the wall, I can only imagine what that would have done to a cat. YDI.

#143 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:40pm by LoveLessBeauty13

ok guys listen up.... you have no idea how far the wall is from the bed..... if they are touching that would be like half a foot to kick which wouldn't hurt a cat... and its natural reflex when your startled from your sleep.

#144 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:41pm by musicfanboy33

You are just awful. Fyi, traumatic events at a young age can cause sociopathy so watch out.

To all of you saying "You don't kick cats that hard, blah blah blah"
When something crawls on me while I'm asleep, and I wake up, I'm half asleep so i have NO idea what it is. My first instinct is to kick it or smack it.

Then again, it might be just me. But seriously, you all act like you're angels or something..

&146; she wasn't napping, she was sleeping. at night. The thunderstorm woke up her daughter.

#155 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:45pm by inerdablanket

A cat would've deserved it. Dumb cats.
F your daughter's life.
lol.
If the kid isn't really hurt, this is pretty funny.

#156 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:45pm by hanamama

Kicking a cat off your bed in your sleep...not really an abusive move. A cat would have had the balance and agility not to hit the wall or be hurt at all by even a really sudden movement. A two year old human, however, not so much.

#157 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:46pm by sweaterlady

lmaoo, sorry but thats funny.

#162 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:48pm by poiple

I hope your daughter is ok. And next time be less violent! Just because it's a cat doesn't mean you should kick it...cats are living things too and feel just as much pain by getting kicked off a bed

#163 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:48pm by owtom78

everyone saying omg animal abuser, stfu. humans are above animals and if animals piss us off we hit them. the cat wouldn't have gotten anything other then a bruise, and would've learned not to go on the persons bed when they're sleeping. and besides, theres so many cats in the world, we could do with a couple 100 million less of these stupid ass waste of nutrients known as the common house cat.

o and i laughed so hard when i first read this haha.

#164 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:48pm by sonatafan888

you shouldn't be kicking your cat anyway!

#165 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:49pm by sshnookum

wow dude that sucks. I say FYL because you were probably a little cranky after being woken up in the middle of the night. but you shouldn't have tried to kick a cat that hard, if it were your cat he/she would probably be dead, babies are way heavier than cats

#166 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:49pm by dawie

Okay people... notice that the 2 year old was ON TOP of the covers... Her foot most likely was under the covers... I doubt she literally KICKED her cat, she was using the word kick as in push with her feet as opposed to her hands...

Her bed is probably close to the wall…

A cat would have got up and moved, her two year old less agile than a cat fell into the wall…

Not that big of a deal… hopefully no injuries (kids are resilient).

Sorry OP that sucks

#167 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:49pm by sparda4355

Why is every one whining about a cat? Cats are ass holes. Maybe he doesn't want cats on his bed. poor kid though.

#168 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:50pm by Faced159

ROTFLMFAO!! Guess she learned her lesson! Now whenever there's a thunderstorm she'll run far away from mommy! She'll be in therapy someday and say "Doc, I can't explain it but whenever there is thunder outside, I get really afraid of my mother. What does it mean?"

Oh, and I used to "kick" my cat off the bed all the time. Except that in my half awake state, I thought she was blankets bunched up at the bottom of my bed. Eventually she stopped sleeping there, I felt bad.

#169 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:50pm by _insertnamehere_

Doesn't matter if it's a young child or a pet cat, why the hell would you kick them like that?

#155: It says she was napping. And all honestly, I just look to see what it is and notice it's one of my cats and just roll back over to fall asleep again.

#171 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:50pm by Roxas

#173 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:53pm by packman1444

Ok for one I am sure the little girl is fine or the parent wouldnt be sitting at a computer putting it on the internet. And also this sounds like a honest mistake you do kinda have to push some cats or dogs kind of hard to get them to move and most people dont want to have a cat sleep on their feet. and most girl 2 year olds are kind of lightweights so it might not be a huge difference between hers and a large house cats weight. And last 2 year olds seem to get knocked off balance easy , and they didnt say she hit the wall hard just that she hit it my 2 year old nephew has done worse to himself.

#174 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:53pm by Random_Chick

Whether this is even true or not, you're a disgraceful animal & child abuser. I absolutely hate people like you, and reading this just makes me want to punch you right in the face.

How DARE you even kick a cat, let alone a child. For laying on your BED? It's not like it was on top of the counter or something. I hope somebody kicks you in front of a train. Go to hell.

#185 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:58pm by discountbacon

so you consider this an FML because you kicked your child across the room, but its okay if you kicked the cat across the room? your a mean person.

#186 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:58pm by justxdream

If you'd kick your daughter hard enough for her to hit the wall, I'd hate to know how hard you kick a cat... especially since cats weigh a ton less than a 2-year-old kid. That cat - and the girl - must be traumatized. Counseling. Now.

#187 - On 06/02/2009 at 8:59pm by losergirl

Why the hell would you kick your cat? That's pretty fucked up in and of itself, but for you to respond so automatically like that and wind up kicking your daughter, let alone hard enough to launch her into the wall. I hope she's okay, and I hope you learned your lesson.

Is she okay!!!!!???

Poor little lass =(

#194 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:00pm by Gringo

all you people calling her an animal abuser, open your eyes. This is the real world. You're not an animal abuser just because you use your foot to push a cat off of your bed. Most of you probably don't even have cats. I have four and honestly they do get annoying especially when I'm sleeping. I'm not afraid to push one off the bed. Real animal abusers do MUCH worse things than that and I'm sorry you're all too naive and sheltered to know what's really out there. So STFU with this animal abuse crap.

Second, Whose say she kicked that hard? Maybe the foot of her bed is against a wall so she only had to kick lightly for her child to loose his/her balance and hit the wall. Also if she's napping she's most likely a little confused, therefore no totally aware of her surrounding i.e. whether the weight on the end of her bed is a small child or a cat.

STOP CALLING THE OP A HORRIBLE PERSON.

#195 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:01pm by Claire_bear

I know what she means, as in you can shake your cat off the bed and it can sometimes take some pretty hard shoving before the lazy thing will finally get up and jump off. It all depends on how hard she actually shoved her daughter, and how hard she typically shoves her cats.....

#196 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:01pm by derriduh

You would kick your cat that hard??

#197 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:01pm by personofperson

I didn't find this post funny kicking a cat or your baby (even if it was light) is still terrible. By the sounds of things no one was watching your child while you were napping, next time put her ina play pen.

All of you are being ridiculous shes not a bad mother she just got spooked like we all do from time to time, and none of us no where her bed is placed it could be right against the wall so stop spazing i think its funny personally but sad, shes not an animal abuser either so stop bitching at her

#208 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:06pm by goldfish15

#195 - even if there are worse things that can be done, which there certainly are - this doesn't justify kicking a living animal. yes, I do have a cat, but I could never do that to him. =/

OP, I hope your daughter's okay.

#209 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:06pm by supernovaa

#195 i agree.
o and the person about karma and PETA will get u...
PETA can suck ma fat hairy dick. there are people out there dieing and they care about animals that live for 18 years tops. fuck that. people need more help then animals, as long as we want to stay on top. otherwise who will kill sharks who evolve to have lasers on their heads.

Something I only saw one person mention..

Why the fuck were you taking a nap when you should be watching your 2 year old? I am REALLY hoping someone else was home to watch the child- a 2 yr. old shouldn't be left unsupervised.

And FYL for not being more aware of your children. Mostly FHL for having you for a parent.

You are such a great parent:)

#213 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:07pm by masterloser12

why in the world would you be kicking that hard whether it was a cat or not? if you were kicking hard enough for you daughter to hit the wall, then that kick could have seriously hurt a cat. you're a dumbass. ydi.

#214 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:08pm by lovexoxstoned

Poor kid. Is she afraid of you now? If she is YDI. How can you think it's okay to throw your cat!!!! YDI for hurting innocent cats. Let's say it was your cat. You should pick it up gently an put it somewhere else rather than flinging your cat. You are stupid. I hope you learned your lesson. Who cares if it wasn't your cat still it could have been. Meanie.

#220 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:11pm by aikidogirl96

Wow, you people need to chill the fuck out. Did anyone ever think that the bed might be near the wall? Or maybe she even did the unheard of and put the bed against the wall. Or that instead of punting the kid like a football she might have just slid her foot to shoo the "cat" off? By the way its written its obvious that the cat does that a lot. Its people like you that are the reason kids are so messed up, nowadays, chewing the heads off of parents every time an accident happens or anytime the kid is possibly injured in any way.

#221 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:11pm by RuralNinja

#223 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:12pm by mekat

Why would you kick a cat that hard anyway? A two year old weighs a LOT more than a cat. I shudder to think about how hard you were kicking those cats against that wall. You should have your children and your pets taken away from you!

#224 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:13pm by InspiredByGaGa

ha wow hope u took ur daughter for some ice cream after that

#225 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:13pm by CheezerX

YOUCH!!! That is horrible! I am a person who loves cats AND children. I can relate to the fact that people's brains don't really work well when they are half asleep, but you must have been more than half asleep if you had enough energy to send your child flying against the wall. And I agree with those above that asked why on earth you would even think to kicking a cat that hard? How can you even live with yourself?

#226 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:13pm by purplesucker

I'm laughing at everone who's saying "animal abuse". I kick my dog off the bed all the time. You guys are taking the word 'kick' to seriously. With my dog I simply nudge her to the edge of the bed so she jumps off and this person probably did, too, though maybe a but rusher, since they were half asleep. Two year olds have no balance, and the wall might've been next to the bed. So calm the fuck down. This could also be fake. Loosen up. Laugh a little. It's good for you.

#227 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:15pm by chrispy0111

I basically agree with all these. Why would you kick a cat anyway? Jerk

#238 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:22pm by tinaforthewin

All you of people calm down.

First of all, he said he kicked his daughter not his cat.
Secondly, he said she hit the wall which means he kicked her hard enough to send her flying.
If a person flies and hits the wall, I don't call that a nudge.

Of course this is a lie, you people try kicking a 30 pound bag across the room laying down.

And if it's not, shouldn't to check to make sure it wasn't anything else?
Honestly, who in the world kicks something out of bed thinking it's a cat.
The mere thought that you kicked thinking it was your cat pretty much falls under animal abuse.
But since you kicked a child, I think consequences would be a lot worse.

#239 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:23pm by koda

Lmao ????.

#240 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:23pm by xriderx11

a: your life is fucked because no one is gonna let you forget that you kicked your baby across the room

b: you deserve it because you shouldn't be kicking your 2-year-old-daughter-size cat anyway (at least not with force plenty enough to kick it across the room)

c: what automatically makes this fake, 236??? did i just completely miss something???? people who call everything fake on this site are complete idiotic assholes who rarely know what they're talking about, and besides, who even cares if it's funny? #250 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:27pm by ireadthistoomuch

agreeing with #195. And people calling animal abuse obviously don't own any animals. If you're trying to sleep and an animal is walking all over you, you're not going to just let the cat crawl all over you. You're probably going to kick/push it off too. And even then, when OP says kick, they probably didn't mean the haul off and give it a good whack type of kick. Think for a moment people. Also, ever think that the bed is close to the wall? Not everyone can afford houses with big bedrooms, you know. You're all the stupid ones here for automatically assuming that the OP is a terrible person for doing something everyone does. There's a line between animal abuse and kicking (a soft kick, not a soccer kick) an annoying animal off your bed.

But, fyl. I hope this doesn't cause your daughter to fear you or anything of the sort.

#251 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:28pm by kaly

Jackass, who the f*** kicks their cat that hard?

Next time you sit down how about I come and kick you in the face?

why would kicking the cat hard enought for it to go hit the wall be any better?

#260 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:31pm by erinoty

The only reason I gave you a FYL is because you have to deal with the fact that you kicked your own child and made her hit the wall. I hope that she remembers this forever and uses it to guilt you into anything and everything she could ever possibally want.

#261 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:31pm by ely46

lol i hope shes okay by the way. and get a grip people. you've never shoved your pet off the bed before when you were half-asleep? for you people that are more worried about a cat than a two-year-old, i think you need to get your priorities straight. and #261, i was thinking exactly the same thing.

and for those that need to rag on this person because of an accident; you need to find something better to do with your life. no offense to anyone personally, but that's really sad.

#283 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:43pm by ultravioletbaby

Um, what the fuck? As others have said, how the hell do you mistake your kid for your cat and vice versa? Fuck your daughter's life.

Also, your cats deserve better if you just kick them when they try to sleep next to you, as your post implies.

@85 Um, if you don't want to be bothered by your pets when you sleep, then close the fucking door. Not wanting to be bothered is not to an excuse to go swinging your leg into a poor defenseless animal who just wants to cuddle. Christ.

#284 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:43pm by Edyn04

#288 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:46pm by smile022

@ #10,
You're retarded,
most of you are being complete idiots, she was just fucking falling asleep, maybe had a bad day, how do you know her bed wasn't RIGHT BESIDE THE FUCKING WALL, you assume if was like half way across the room off the top of the bunk bed or something, animal abuse my ass, it's not like the kid is dead now, idiots.

#289 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:47pm by Grawlix

Yeah, tell the police that, I'm sure they'll understand...
(and why does everyone think (s)he kicked so hard. The bed could've been right next to the wall...)

#301 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:53pm by miles2190

This is not FML your a fucking animal abuser. So you put it up here you kicked your daughter so your a shit pet owner and a parent. Learn to be responsible before having kids or getting pets. Idiot.

#302 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:53pm by Pittfan557

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. I know there was a time when I was so sleep-deprived I might have done something like that, if my son was old enough to get in the bed. Fortunately I had recovered by that time. I must say, though, that if you've gotten to the point your reactions are that bad, you should seek help. Sleep deprivation is one of those things people can never even begin to comprehend until they've experienced it. It will screw up your mind worse than drugs.

#308 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:57pm by topbanana22

How could you even kick your cat off the bed? That's abuse! Let alone kicking a two year old off the bed.

#309 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:57pm by FMaLex

why the fuck were you taking a nap and allowing your kid to run around by herself anyway? She could have gotten into stuff and hurt herself!

#310 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:58pm by shiikitty

Oh my god... Is your baby ok? Anyways, why would you kick your cats? I got to feel sorry for you, though. And the poor child...

#311 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:58pm by mimosazhao

You probably shouldn't be napping when you have a 2 year old running around. That's why they have parenting classes. No matter how hard she kicked her daughter, it's ridiculous. First, she shouldn't be kicking anything off of her bed, whether it's a cat or a child. If it bothers her that her cats come in her room while she's sleeping, all she has to do is shut the door. We're assuming she kicked rather hard because she said "...I kicked her off. She hit the wall." We're assuming the child went a few feet before hitting the wall [lol mental picture] because she wrote "she hit the wall". If she simply nudged her daughter and her daughter simply fell against/into the wall, she definitely needs to phrase this better.

#312 - On 06/02/2009 at 9:59pm by sickinlove13

Ydi for animal and child abuse

Why did you leave your child unsupervised? Way to be a parent.

#324 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:09pm by smalltowngirl88

Ummmmmmmm... just to play devils advocate, as it were, for a second... Nobody said the child FLEW in to the wall... How is it that so many people jump to the conclusion of a terrorizing behemoth who flings cats against walls with bone crushing force and (I can only imagine based on the comments) drinks the blood of virgins at the full moon? Here's a thought, maybe consider that the bed is RIGHT next to the wall, and the OP just pushed the kid/cat a bit, and she FELL off the bed, and hit the wall on the way down on account of the bed being RIGHT next to the wall? Seriously... witch hunt much? In most parent's bedrooms I've been in, a kid would hit the wall no matter HOW softly they feel off the bed, while a cat would just jump gingerly to the ground somewhere after being "kicked" (i.e. prodded with a foot) off...

#325 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:10pm by kingbeau

This sounds exactly like the FML where the dude kicked his hamster off. Ehh, fake. Maybe.

And it sucks for you, if it did happen.

#326 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:10pm by Devyn333

#327 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:11pm by funkymonkey90914

CHILD ABUSE!!!!!!!

But really u should always check before you do something like that and y do u kick your cats off?

#328 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:11pm by relapse01

Wow... there is a difference between gently pushing your cat away and kicking it off... that's mean. I'm not sure how close your bed is to your wall, but you shouldn't kick your cat at all.

#329 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:11pm by CherishFlowers

do any of you asking why she wasnt supervising her kid, have any kids? i have a 2 year old and when i want a nap my husband watches him...sometimes moms need naps too... that doesnt necessarily make her a bad mom.
i cant say as tho i've kicked my kid tho.... if he crawls into my bed i do know the difference between his weight and the cats weight....

#330 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:12pm by ikepela

what the hell is wrong with you!! first of all why would you kick a cat? and especially your cat

and YDI for actually kicking your baby

#331 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:14pm by itsgen

#329, as I mentioned, pretty much no there isn't. Its a wording thing. YOU, and everyone here, take the meaning to be similar to kicking a soccer ball, while anyone I can think of would call pushing the cat off the bed with their foot "Kicking the cat off the bed", and nobody I can think of would be upset by calling it that either.

#332 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:15pm by kingbeau

Omg !

#333 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:16pm by liliz

YDI. Why would you KICK a cat?

#334 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:18pm by namelessfew

okay, i can understand being startled from your sleep so you move abruptly. i have done that many times and startled whom or whatever woke me. but i've never heard of reacting violently enough to send a toddler flying into a wall, even if it is very close to the bed. seriously, be more careful, especially considering the fact that this is routine for you and that it routinely involves living creatures in your home.
you might want to get your kid checked out, too. they say that kids have hard heads, but they don't mean it literally!

#335 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:18pm by RealMenD8Dancers

#336 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:18pm by elismm

#343 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:23pm by hairyxnelson

#335 (no offense to you and it keeps changing for some reason..) brings up an interesting point which is "Dammit... nobody is going to read comment 326 and they can't figure it out on their own"... so I'll say it one more time... the kid did NOT FLY INTO THE WALL!!! Or at least there's absolutely, 100% no reason whatsoever to think it did, it makes a WHOLE LOT more sense that the kid fell into the wall off a bed as kids almost always do when they fall off beds.

I'll also add this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlXVQXiu3tk (if it works on here)

#344 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:23pm by kingbeau

#10 is being alittle overdramatic. Actually, they are being very overdramatic... but dude... seriously? Don't kick your cats, you might end up kicking your daughter again.

P.S:I love how everyone is mainly freaking out about the cats.

DO NOT READ THIS

Now that I have your attention, consider that the child did NOT fly into the wall as your angry imaginations seem to enjoy visualizing, but in fact simply fell gently off the bed after being prodded with a foot, and hit the wall on the way down... Probably EVERY kid does that at some point...

#354 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:28pm by kingbeau

Don't kick your cats anymore I guess :p

But awww for the kid

#356 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:29pm by ineedusername

I'm sorry, but I laughed HARD at this when I first read it. And I can kinda understand why you would kick your cat off...they scratch! And you're tryna get a good nap. But DAMN if that really was a cat you wouldve killed it. A little nudge wouldve sufficed!

#357 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:30pm by tomcat39

#358 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:30pm by

So you're implying that it wouldn't be a big deal if it were a cat? That's wrong and it seems like you've kick plenty of cats/pets off ur bed b4 YDi... Hope the baby's ok...

#359 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:30pm by KiddNYC10

This is a bloody fantastic example of how one idiot can set all the other idiots off blazing. HOW can over 11000 of you not see the obvious scenario of pushing the "kid" gently with a foot and it falling off the bed?

Why would u hit ur cat anyways?????

#379 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:42pm by jSOPURE

Try not to be so quick to jump to conclusions. I woke from a nightmare a few days ago and was so startled I bolted up, and my kitty fell off my bed.

Also, my bed is up against a wall. The child wasn't necessarily kicked against a wall 10 feet away. I'm sure she feels bad enough. Now lets think before we speak, yes?

#380 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:42pm by sarahdg

#385 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:43pm by emerica

Thats fuckin Horrible. On so many leveles.

1. Its kinda funny.
2. im assuming you abuse you pets.
3. Your daughter is tramatized.

So FYL and a feel bad for your daughter.

#387 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:45pm by xItaliax

Your dumb as fuck why would you kick anything off your bed

#388 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:45pm by

WHY WOULD U KICK A CAT THAT HARD??? poor kid. U must be strong.
I think this might be fake...?

#389 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:47pm by

Way to go.

#391 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:48pm by darkday979

YOU ARE A HORRIBLE PARENT!!!

#392 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:49pm by haha321

Okay, so just because you thought it was a cat you KICKED her off? Ydi and everyone that thinks otherwise can go to hell.

#393 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:50pm by sublimedude777

You people are incredibly stupid. Why is everyone more concerned about the cat than the child. Its not like she tried to kick a field goal with her cat or child. She more than likely nudged the child who fell into the wall. Besides, if you had a cat and it was on your bed and you didnt want it there wouldn't you just simply "kick" it off too. Self righteous assholes.

#395 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:51pm by bibbidibobity

Are you such an inane idiot that you can't even tell the difference in body structure between a cat and a human. Just look at the shape of the head. Even a two year old's head is much larger than the head of an average cat. You deserve it for (1)being an idiot and (2) kicking any animal/human that hard.

#396 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:52pm by KyleOkposofan

She's now probably...scarred.

#397 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:52pm by Arinessie

#28 so do u swallow? Lmao

#399 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:54pm by Cdldriver

I'm sorry if if daugtr got hurt but that's funny

#400 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:54pm by

Oh yes #390, a simple nudge creates such a large force that it results in having a two year old flung across into the wall.

And you are telling us to think before we post?

#401 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:54pm by KyleOkposofan

Wow you think there would be a wieght difference that u would notice

#402 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:54pm by bosco1238

Even if it was your cat, that is still harsh.

Now that I think about it I come to see that it was probably something out of instict when you were groggy and sleepy....but you...I don't know how to explain it I guess.

I hope she's ok! Awww! I forgot about her and now I am practically crying. (Not really...it's just the thought

FYL...but kind-of a YDI.

#403 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:57pm by happygoluckyhh

I think I would have kept that one to yourself

#404 - On 06/02/2009 at 10:57pm by medicman

This place is one of the biggest haven of sheltered, narrow-minded animal lovers around. Cats get hurt worse fighting amongst themselves.

By the way, you "all life is precious and you should never harm it" people: killed a squirrel and ate it when I was 8, eaten plenty of deer meat from deer killed by my father, and yes, I have kicked a kitten.

Suck it. Everyone decrying the OP as an abuser: grow some balls and stop crying.

#405 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:00pm by markssh

Omg is she okayy!?! F ur babys lifee

#406 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:00pm by twilightbabeee

I agree with number one. Really if not child abuse then for sure ANIMAL abuse. God must hate you. FYL and your families for having to live with you.

#407 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:00pm by gymnasty2233

Haha

#408 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:00pm by P43

huahaha, I used to kick my gf's cat off the bed in a similar fashion. But u know what, if it takes a couple of injured babies to get the cat off the bed, then it was worth it!

#409 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:01pm by THE_TRUTH_HURTS

it was never mentioned how HARD the kid hit the wall.. could have been a nudge and the kid fell backwards into the wall. and as others have said, the wall could be inches from the bed.
i still think it was dumb to post this here

#410 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:01pm by dreamsmean

That's what you get for kicking a cat. My did kicked my cat and my cat bit the bottom of the foot so hard it bleed a lot. Your poor daughter. She should bite your foot!

#411 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:02pm by emmalspeace

*dad*

#413 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:02pm by

Really 397 all cats don't land on their get and why kick them you just have to pick them up not kick them so hard they hit the wall. And why can't the cats be on the bed. Thy just want to cuddle.

#414 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:04pm by gymnasty2233

Eh, this happened to me when I was 6 and we don't have pets. My mom thought I was my dad being an asshole. Not long term damage, and it makes a funny story. Kid's probably got a few bruises, boo-fucking-hoo. I'm sure she will live.

BTW, FYL and LOL!

EVERYONE NEEDS TO CHILL!!!
A baby got kicked off the bed... so what? innocent mistake. huahahaha funny as hell, plus, im sure most the people posting have similar stories their parents ain't telling.
Its perfectly normal to kick a cat off a bed, dates back to before prostitution was invented. Cats take up space, sleep on top of you, and get in the way of you and your Gf when you are trying to get some. Fuck cats, you should have aimed it towards the window.... Then again it was a baby, still worth it though =P

#420 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:08pm by THE_TRUTH_HURTS

you ass, why do you treat animals like that? You were just kicking your cat off the bed so hard that a baby weighing like four times that amount would hit the wall??? The cat would like die you stupid fuck. Frosty headed chode

im an animal lover as much as the next guy, but lets remember, a cat will jump off when you kick it landing safely on it's feet. a baby rolls and tumbles until an object stops it.

You are an evil person! *runs in fear*

#456 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:46pm by 24788

I'm pretty sure when the term kick was used it wasn't meant like the person was punting the cats or the 2yr old, I'm guessing this person was pushing the cats off with their foot, not enough to hurt them but enough to make them leave the bed, unfortunately 2 yr olds don't have cat reflexes which is probably why she ended up in the wall, probably just rolled off the bed, so there is no need to freak out like this kid flew through the air and hit the wall and there is definitely no need to call this person an animal abuser.

#457 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:47pm by cj382

Ok... So a 2 year old girl can climb up a huge bed(im assuming because it's your own bed) and you kicked her like you would ur cat... Ur an animal abuser if u kick ur cat that hard and how could u kick that hard if you were under ur comfertor... This is bogus

One word----Wow

#461 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:48pm by rico504

#462 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:49pm by augustdanielle

I have a new theory: this was approved by the mods hoping that someone from Child Protective Services will know what to do after reading this. Good plan.

#463 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:56pm by o76923

I feel sorry for ur daughter FHL.

#464 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:57pm by jg10

Why the fuck would you kick your cat that hard? YDI

#465 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:57pm by Safturento

What the fuck is wrong with you people? Yes it was a bad mistake, I hope the poor girl is okay and doesn't hold resentment to her parent. But honestly? You fucking people piss me off bitching about animal rights and shit, but when a human being, which no offense is higher up than an animal, touches an animal wrong you yell at them and treat them like shit! So tell me how the fuck is that better than tossing a cat off the bed? I know how that is, my family owns tons of animals, I grew up with them, they get annoying. My dog killed my cat when I was a child, then proceeded to kill my sister's ferret years later, was it wrong of me to discipline it? I think not, it lived, and forgot all about it. In truth they should not have attempted to kick the cat this hard, but then again maybe the bed is close to the wall, so it wasn't that hard. All you hypocritical people should be ashamed, to treat this person like that, I'll bet a majority of you are Democrats, yeah I said it.

#466 - On 06/02/2009 at 11:57pm by rgt154

@466: Hey now, I'm a Democrat and agreed with everything you say. Lets not jump to hasty generalizations now, shall we?

#469 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:02am by tehninja

If she "nudged" her child off the bed, she should've just said that. When she said "kicked", everyone's going to assume it was literally a kick, not a nudge/tap/etc.

#470 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:02am by sickinlove13

New kind of Darwin Award: The Retroactive!

Seriously, a two-year-old weighs, like 25 pounds. Cats weigh more like 10 lbs (though there are some larger varieties that can weigh quite a bit).

Either way, you kicked something that loves you hard enough to hit the wall. YDI. All the way.

#471 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:03am by thuryn

Noone kicks a cat that hard.. Fake

#472 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:04am by fyourlife33

Asshole that's fuked up

#473 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:04am by laughinboy

Also, yes, cats land on their feet. However, if you kick it and it hit a wall, it still hit the wall. It's not like it's going to spring against the wall on its feet and walk off. The way the OP made it sound like was that the child went airborne. lmao.

#474 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:05am by sickinlove13

ah NOT funny but the thought of a two year old crashing into a wall makes me lol

#475 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:05am by beckified

Why would you kick a cat that hard? And it takes someone special to mistake the weight of a two-year-old human for a cat.

If your daughter is terrified of you for life, you deserve it.

#476 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:05am by K4ofDoom

oh my fucking damn! ok, this person (whether you're the mother or father, im not too sure) is wrong, no doubt about that fact. but people, it was an accident!!! it's not like s/he woke up, looked at them and then kicked them into the wall. i do that sometimes too when an unknown presence is near me in my sleep. people make mistakes, damn. everyone needs to chill.

but still, you are messed up. hope your daughter is ok though. you'll laugh about it in the future lol

#477 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:06am by najiiexbabii

You shouldn't even be kicking your cats like that. YDI

#478 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:09am by aztec37

ROFL. . . I mean, yeah, it's terrible that the kid got kicked into the wall and all, but the visual is just hilarious. The kid's two. They bounce back, and aren't likely to remember this later in life.

For those screaming abuse, 1. cats are annoying little creatures who need to learn to stay off the furniture if their owners don't want them there. 2. It doesn't take much to launch cats or 2 year old kids into a wall, especially when they're caught unawares. 3. The OP was taking a nap, and was likely still halfway asleep when it happened.

#479 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:09am by audax

U DO THAT TO YOUR CATS?!

#483 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:12am by NoMercy

It's nice that your first reaction was to kick.

#484 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:15am by cthulhu1138

Could I please have your address so I can report you for animal cruelty? You're sick.

#485 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:18am by realggirl

Omg haha I could totally picture that! F your kids life!

#486 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:19am by Samabenjamim

Something else occurred to me, though. Ever see a toddler go bowling off a bed? I see it all the time with my two-year-old. She doesn't need anyone else to go rolling off the bed. Toddlers aren't all that coordinated to start with. Then they don't usually just fall straight down and stop. They usually roll or try to catch themselves and go stumbling further.

I can easily see how a good push (intended for a cat) could shove a toddler off the bed, who then goes stumbling into the wall. Technically a "kick" since it was done with a foot, but really a push, not a karate blow.

It's also worth noting that the OP doesn't specify his or her gender. Perhaps this is Dad and Mom was supposed to be watching the kids? I like to have a quick nap on weekends - particularly if I pull work duty at midnight - and my older daughter LOVES me. I can totally see her coming to find me because something scared her, regardless of where Mommy is.

So it's all about wording and assumptions again. If the OP really did KICK the kid and she went FLYING across the room, then the OP really sucks ass. But if it was the "foot shove" that is much more reasonable, then it's completely understandable.

I would like to point out that people who really *kick* their pets OR children don't feel bad enough about it to post to FML.

#487 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:21am by thuryn

OMG, That's HILARIOUS!

I can't stop laughing. Good one right there!

#490 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:22am by shadmed

Why is it assumed to be a hard kick? It was probably a forceful nudge. Stop assuming the worst in people...

#491 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:24am by jadeddream

Holy DAMN! Poor kid, but you didn't diserve it. How would you know it was her?

#492 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:25am by EmbarrassedKlutz

agreed with #491 x_x
also, there's a chance that the wall is closer to the bed than everyone else here is letting on. I know that my bed is only a couple feet from a wall, maybe her's is as well.

Either way, this was hilarious; I could picture myself doing this in my head xD

#493 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:26am by emmyvonlee

you bitch! y would you even think about kicking a cat that hard, let alone a little girl!

#494 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:26am by connor2112

omg, poor girl. I'd say it's a tie between FYL and YDI because kicking the cat off wouldn't have been nice either.

Child AND pet abuse, dude

#502 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:36am by familyguyfan

Douche bag. You're an animal abuser and shouldn't have been allowed to procreate seeing as you'll probably abuse the child too. I hope next time you lay down to sleep someone kicks you in the face. Asshole.

And #164, snail shit is above you, so don't even act like you're above an animal. You're the biggest piece of shit alive. There are also too many assholes in this world, and we'd be better off with less. So why don't you do us all a favor and off yourself. Kthanks.

#503 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:37am by coffeennicotine

I also think it's absolutely HILARIOUS the people who think that DFS is going to TRACK DOWN THE OP THROUGH THE INTARWEBZ! Hahahahahahaha! Oh, you have FAR too much faith in those people. They are never going to do such a thing. I doubt there is enough log information anywhere to do it even if they wanted to. And what if the OP posted this from an Internet cafe? Then what?

The gov't is not coming to protect you. Get used to it.

#504 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:38am by thuryn

this actually happened to me when i was younger. my mom thought i was the dog, kicked me, and i hit the wall. i dont remember any of it haha

Take a nap with an obviously unattended 2 yr. old...
Hmmm.

#506 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:40am by sawabear15

@monicamischief: Of course not. They read the OP, make a bunch of assumptions, scroll to the bottom, and mouth off. It's the Internet. That's what the Internet does. ;)

#508 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:42am by thuryn

Thats fuckin hilarious :D Sad for the kid though, but she won't remember it anyway. Everybody yelling animal abuser and to call the cops is obviously retarded. The animal abuser fans are also hypocrites.....you've all killed a couple bugs in your lives so STFU cuz you didn't respect that bug's rights now did you? /-) I don't like cats anyway so it makes no difference to me. Thank you 495, 494, 493, and 491 for thinking logically.

#491 Nice try! But I tried posting that several times too, but they just don't read any of the comments except the first 3-5, see that those confirm their worst fears (who knows why the first thing they ALL see is a baby flying across a room and splattering against a wall? Secret desires I expect....), and whip down to the bottom of the page to comment. You can say fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck-a-didly-fucking do, fuck-a-day, fuck-a-do, fuck-a-duck-with-a-hockey-puck, all day long and they still won't listen....

#510 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:43am by kingbeau

i don't think this person meant kick as in KICK but more like push off the bed with your foot. I do that with my cat. Two year olds are a lot less agile than cats.

Anybody else notice the comment numbers changing constantly? Comments are obviously getting deleted, because #487 agrees with #491.

#519 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:59am by dragon

aww man that sucks. ino cats are annoying iv kicked mine to haha

#520 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:59am by lax4lif3

#209, supernovaa

I get what your saying but animals do get extremely annoying. Building off of what u said before, the word "kicking" is used loosely. I'm sure the OP just nudged the cat of child and the wall was close by.

You said you have a cat. How often do u come in contact with him? Anyone who spends enough time with a cat eventually finds them to be annoying in at least one situation. An obvious one I when your trying to sleep.

Also, to everyone saying child abuser- that's obviously not the case since it was an accident, which I'm sure you all know. You're all probably just joking. But honestly, child abuse isn't a joke. It happens and children die. Yet you're all here laughing about. As I said before, alot of you are probably sheltered from how cruel the world really is. But think before you joke about something so serious.

#521 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:00am by Claire_bear

U kick ur cat?

#522 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:00am by joelol

Wth you probably caused brain damage and even if that was the cat why would you kick it that hard if it's that much of a problem why don't you give the cat to someone who doesn't abuse animals.

#523 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:01am by desigirl420

yeah yeah i know it was an accident but the thought of that happening makes me want to cry. and vomit. i would probably never forgive myself if i did that to my kid.

whyyyyy is everyone focusing on the cat? a toddler got kicked into a wall! nobody even actually touched the fucking cat!

correction: my bed is against my wall. /i doubt anyone has a bed right in the middle of the room.
lol, i'm sure the parent didn't mean it. it was an accident.

i think a lot of readers are taking these fml posts a bit too serious. ._.

Ok. So, as weird and sick as this is. I can understand, cause they were napping and probably groggy. It was probably a reflex, if anything.

#532 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:12am by Hoppipolla

monicamischief, tell me, why the fuck are you devoting so much of your time to defend someone you dont know over something that is apparently no big deal according to you. i think you need to find something else to do with your spare time, eh?

#533 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:13am by becca718

#535 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:14am by Jaxon321

um, so even if you kicked a cat that hard, it would still count as animal cruelty. Somebody call social services on this person

#537 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:15am by vt_mruhlin

#534 -- the OP kicked a 2 year old child hard enough to knock her against the wall...she didn't kick a cat, but if she had been that would have been an excessive amount of force to use on an animal that is half the size of her daughter.

#538 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:15am by nuga

then let people be fucking stupid. who gives a shit. youre smarter then them and thats all that matters.

#545 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:22am by becca718

516 has a valid point. No CATS were harmed in the making of this FML........a two year old child was "kicked" accidentally off of a bed and was more than likely perfectly fine after that. At most the kid cried for a minute, got over it and went back to loving her parent. You remedial fucks yelling animal abuser obviously care nothing for the human child and put a damn animal over your own kind. Your whole claim is false and invalid considering a cat was never involved in the first place.

#546 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:23am by razzumfrazzum

you'd kick your cat like that?
abusing small animals is the first sign of a serial killer/abuser :x
don't be such an overreacting pyscho.
and have fun explaining to the emergency room why your daughter has a concussion..

#547 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:23am by SusanaSaysRawrxD

So this goes to show you usually 'kick your cat(s)'. Hmm................

#548 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:24am by Nextdusk

There is no way you kick your cats that hard unless your baby is like 5 pounds which I highly doubt

#550 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:26am by nicknmxer

how fat are your cats that you mistakes your child as one of them? Or how unhealthy is your child that her weight could be mistaken for a cats? Either way, fuck the cat and kids lives. You mistreat them both.

#555 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:31am by ohhhhshizzz

YDT! Since when did it become okay to kick cats?! That is just horrible. A simple push to get him off the bed (nothing hard, come on, a cat is not that big) is okay, but to kick him off the bed, and with enough force to knock even your daughter into the wall, that is just horrible! You could really hurt your cat, and now your baby as well. You are cleary not fit to be a cat owner or a parent.

#556 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:32am by Hurricanevenom

#563 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:45am by ifence2win

K, too many comments to see if someone mentioned this, but my question;

If you were taking a nap, who was watching your TWO YEAR OLD that allowed her to wander off and CLIMB up onto whatever you were napping on? Sounds like all kinds of neglect going on in that household.

Some people are NOT fit to be parents.... just 'cause you can make a baby doesn't mean you SHOULD

#564 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:45am by Fraggle

Wow, you are horrible. I'm sure a cat would be significantly lighter than a two tear old...

#565 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:50am by shelby0716

well i want to be like everyone else..why would you kick a cat/baby that hard?

anyways, how far did she fly? did she get some good distance at least? and did she stick the landing?

#566 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:50am by rallets

Why WOULD you kick your cat off in the first place? YDI and this is definately a BS story.

#567 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:50am by LilMissLain

Cats tend to land on their feet and people have strange reactions when they are sleeping. are you suggesting that she never nap because she has a child?

You really should be a little more careful though. I wont bash you but I hope you realise anything could have happened and have learned from it.

reading ya'lls comments makes me seriously wonder what the hell is wrong with people. you guys are ridiculous.

or, hey, by breathing!

#573 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:58am by ashole1990

Why would u even kick you cat! You're terrible

#574 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:59am by mercuryman9

What in the hell is wrong with you? Unless you have a full-grown lynx living in your house, how do you mistake a two-year-old for a cat? And why would you kick an animal that damn hard, anyway?

#575 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:04am by ladycoyote

wow, nowhere in this FML did it say that the 2 year old flew across the room to smack into the wall 10 feet away. most likely, the bed was pushed against the wall and that's what the child hit. grow up, people. seriously - accidents happen and if you had done something like this im sure you would think it was ridiculous for 400 people to be saying "OH MY GOD ANIMAL ABUSER! CHILD ABUSER! CALL PROTECTIVE SERVICES!". obviously the person felt bad.. or else they wouldnt have posted it as an FML.

#576 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:04am by plasticbarbie84

thats just AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#577 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:07am by Luckycookie

but how could they feel bad?

"omg i just kicked my 2yr-old into the wall. this is sooo going on FML."

#578 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:09am by rallets

Some people start punching whatever is in their way as soon as they are woken up, without thought or consciousness. OP is probably one of those people... probs did it in his/her sleep *unconsciously* and it came out harder than intended. I bet OP didn't even realize it even happened until the kid started screaming and thus woke OP up.

Seriously, just because some of you wake up all chirping birds and sunshine and skip merrily out of bed doesn't mean others do. I've known people who have punched their own mothers in the jaw without any remembrance of it when their moms try to wake them up for school. It happens. It was probably an unconscious, sleeping reflex.

And how the fuck many of you have owned a cat? Cats can take it. Throwing a cat into a wall will not hurt it, just piss it off for a while. It's not like she sets the fucking cats on fire or throws them into the microwave. Animal abuse? My ass. Calm the fuck down.

#579 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:10am by prettyxdemented

Why the f*ck would you hit your cat anyway.

#588 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:39am by ShelbyG

baby pwn

and to # 587, one of my good friends had his cat latch it's claws onto his back while playing computer. wanna know what he did? he threw it against a wall. guess what? that cat was fine.

#590 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:40am by Curtieeeez

Oh don't freak. That happened to me when I was little and I'm just fine now. Althogh, I never crawled into bed with my parents again when I had a nightmare but I grew up and didn't need to anymore. (and back on topic :P) So your kid probably won't hate you for this.

#591 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:42am by TheDarkoprince

#518 / ohhhhshizzz

Under normal circumstances, when people mean to convey a concept, they use the appropriate word for it. If I wanted to express a nudge, I would use the word "nudge". If I wanted to express a kick, I would use the word "kick". On a totally unrelated example, I would not, let's say, use the word "kick" to express a nudge, for the sake of accuracy and good communication.

Let me approach this from another direction, as well: We as commenters seem to love deciphering as much detail about FML posts as we can squeeze out of that 300-character (or whatever it is) limit. This makes it a little counter-intuitive to, for example, ignore a key word or phrase provided by the poster in favour of a similar but unrelated one. Not that this has anything to do with the current situation, or anything.

#592 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:44am by null

So much wrong with this I don't know where to start...

#593 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:44am by krupster

People, if you think about it for a second, instead of having a hissy fit, you would realize that it's impossible to execute a proper kick while you're half-asleep underneath the covers. The OP was most likely trying to give the cat a firm nudge, because most people don't want pets to bother their sleep. My friend has pushed his cat off the couch/bed many times, but he would never KICK the cat. And there's probably very little space between the bed and the wall, in which case it's hard NOT to hit the wall if you're pushed off of the bed.

Again, if you think, instead of over-reacting at the word "kick", you'd realize that it was an unfortunate accident, and everyone will walk away fine (My two-year old cousin has done way worse than falling off of a bed, and he always gets up and walks away after three seconds of crying).

#594 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:47am by Holybatman

If you're the kind of person that kicks your cat, you deserve all the misfortune life can possibly bring. It's that simple.

Thuryn's comment #487 = Spot on.

monicamischief just needs to shut the hell up and learn that saying the same shit over and over again is not so different from spamming a site, especially when the poster seems to think that gradually writing whole comments in capslock makes their opinion more valid, less annoying, and for whatever reason, worthy of attention.

#604 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:29am by slacker37815

If you kicked your daughter hard enough to hit the wall, you could have seriously damaged your cat. And that was probably emotionally damaging for your daughter.

I hope you learned your lesson, stupid. You shouldn't have cats or a child.

#605 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:32am by McLaughlane

You keep mentioning 13 year olds fornicating themselves and menstruating while trying to explain to people why kicking a toddler into a wall is funny. Is there something we should know about you?

#636 - On 06/03/2009 at 8:07am by chocogatto12

cats deserved to be kicked. too bad it wasn't your cat that flew into the wall.

#637 - On 06/03/2009 at 8:10am by drackattack

Hahahahahaha! The comments on this one are a riot! The Internet is SO full of stupid these days.

To 595/null: Not everyone is the awesome wordsmith that you are. Most people who post to FML don't bother to SPELL correctly, let alone choose their worse with precision and care.

As I've said before, I think neither "kick" nor "nudge" works well in this context. Having kicked my own cat out of bed before, the best word is "shove". I don't wind up and boot the poor thing, but to get a cat out of your bed successfully, you can't just give it a gentle tap. Cats want to stay where they are. I usually have to get my foot against her and push her until she falls off the side (sometimes she jumps first). It's not a "blow" like a drop-kick or a windup.

Toddlers aren't cats. They're bigger, so they fall farther. The kid is fine.

And once again, I laugh in the face of people saying they'll call CPS. What a waste of time. Save it for the cases where someone really does abuse kids, m'kay?

#638 - On 06/03/2009 at 8:22am by thuryn

Hey becca718, at least monicamischief is doing something to try to reduce the amount of stupid in the world. What have YOU done today?

#639 - On 06/03/2009 at 8:24am by thuryn

Poor girl!! Also poor catss... Why do you kick them so hard anyways?

#640 - On 06/03/2009 at 8:25am by gclunax

Ur a bitch for kicking your cat that hard

#641 - On 06/03/2009 at 8:34am by mils

your all so dumb. DO you honestly know where her bed is placed in her room? maybe its close to the wall. regardless... its not your cat and itsnot your kid so get over it.

#642 - On 06/03/2009 at 8:47am by L0velivexbeach

Let's see here. You kick cats, now kick children [and I hope she got a doctor visit after this], and your child was obviously unsupervised. Yeah, you're a great parent..

#643 - On 06/03/2009 at 8:51am by lyndsaygirl

YDI. You shouldn't kick even your cat off...I hope you took your kid to the doctor...that young, she could be badly hurt.

#644 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:10am by YDIlover

Even if it was a cat, you still shouldn't do that...

#645 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:20am by JARED725

you kick your cats that hard?
your a horrible person!

#646 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:25am by sugarfixkid

Dude, wtf? I can understand kicking your cat gently to make them move, but do you really kick your cats with enough force to fling them to the wall?

#647 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:30am by whomajigi

Hahaha! :D EPIC! XD

Kyle: Ike, Kick the baby! :D
Ike: Don't kick the farcking baby :(

#648 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:35am by lazorzpewpew

you deserve that one..who the hell kicks a cat that hard? and how fat are your animals where you can mistake your child for one of them o_O

#649 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:40am by jncwmnd

Is she ok?
How does a 2 year old feel like a cat

#650 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:45am by love4all4

hahahahahsjsjaj that is fucking hilarious. Is he alright

#651 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:52am by duckshockey

How could you mistake a 2 year old for a cat? And WHY would you kick a cat that hard anyway??? Mannnn, not cool

#652 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:59am by PrettyVal

Omg!!! That's terrible!!!! Awwwww....

#653 - On 06/03/2009 at 10:03am by madison94

#655 took the words right of my mouth. All these people with animal abuser quotes are idiots. It didnt say he pulled a chuck norris style roundhouse kick, he just said kick. And you don't know how close to the wall the bed it, it might have been a very light hit. It never says he kicked her and she went flying 10 feet across the room and hit the wall on the other side.

Seriously people think before commenting.

#655 - On 06/03/2009 at 10:25am by KeighlR

Why the eff would u kick your cat in the first place??? U shouldn't have one if u plan to abuse it.. You shouldn't have kids if you can't handle a cat.. YDI

#656 - On 06/03/2009 at 10:37am by molitov

lol 655 / drkwlf. :) Awesome.

#657 - On 06/03/2009 at 10:38am by thuryn

Is it legal for you to own a cat? Or have a daughter?

#658 - On 06/03/2009 at 10:41am by Llamaman12349

I agree with #655 and #656. There was no mention of a Karate kick. For all we know, the O.P just nudged the child off the bed and into the wall. There was no mention how far away the wall is. My bed used to be a half foot away from a wall on each side but one.

#659 - On 06/03/2009 at 10:43am by honda1

Yes, but if the OP didn't want people to get confused, he couldve left out the wall bit, and if he just nudged her off this isn't even an FML unless he has a three story bed.

#660 - On 06/03/2009 at 10:48am by Llamaman12349

awesome.

#661 - On 06/03/2009 at 10:51am by mister_moops

You kick your cats that hard??? D:

YDI times a million, for the baby and the cats. :(

#662 - On 06/03/2009 at 10:56am by Moemoemoe

Llamaman12349 / 661: It's an FML because the OP is a GOOD parent and is upset when his/her kid gets knocked off the bed. As for the *wording* of the FML, don't even start. Most of the FMLs posted barely have capital letters, let alone precisely chosen verbage.

Put that crap between your ears to work.

#663 - On 06/03/2009 at 11:07am by thuryn

YDI, jerk. Don't get cats if you don't love them enough to let them sleep in your own bed (:

#664 - On 06/03/2009 at 11:21am by Waabishkii_ikwe

Why would u kick your freakin cat in the first place this is a ydi and an fhl idoit watch before u do something

#665 - On 06/03/2009 at 11:36am by edobean

Totally agree with the llamaman12349

If you've ever moderated the comments, some pretty messed up FMLs don't make it onto the main page. People have to get creative... which apparently translates into making people believe they violently abuse toddlers and cats while still making it ambiguous enough to be ok.

Plus, come on. Even if this is a lie or just a little toddler flopping over, FUNNY image.

#666 - On 06/03/2009 at 11:40am by chocogatto12

What the hell? Regardless of whether it was a cat or a toddler you shouldnt have kicked her. You're a horrible person and you don't deserve to have either one.

#667 - On 06/03/2009 at 11:44am by GARlactic

Why would you kick your cat that hard? You're a terrible person, and if I knew you I'd call CPS. I hope both your cat and child is taken away from you, psycho.

#668 - On 06/03/2009 at 11:46am by whoredior

you kick your cats against the wall when they lay on you?

#669 - On 06/03/2009 at 11:52am by yonick561

What the hell is wrong with you??? Not f your life, f her life! Sounds like she's stuck with you and the very likely possibility that your were also kicked into a wall, dropped on your head, and/or shaken when you were her age. That would explain why you think it's ok to 1) kick a cat so hard (if you don't like cats, why have them? Kicking purposes??) 2) I don't even feel bad for you! I can't help but judge your stupidity! FAIL!!!

#672 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:34pm by shithappened

to everyone who's saying that it's a natural reflex to kick at something on them while they're asleep: i have cats, and *my* first reflex if something is crawling on me is to pet her, not fucking kick her off of me. if you decide to be a pet owner, you definitely should not mind your pet wandering around at night. really.....you don't deserve to have a cat if you kick it off of you at night. they're nocturnal animals; what do you expect them to do???

#673 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:54pm by breedizzles

LMAO!!!!!
I actually laughed!!!
I'm a horrible person...
But LMAO!

#674 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:57pm by theluckygirl28

Wow, I'm sure her bed has little room away from the wall.

Cats move pretty fast when something comes flying at them...two year olds, not so much. Easy mistake.

However, the weight difference is substantial...so ydi.

#675 - On 06/03/2009 at 12:58pm by mattiefrapp

so it's OK to kick your cat but not a kid?

#676 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:08pm by azure8787

Who kicks cats off bed? Attention animal control! And I bet ur kids bigger than ur cat n she hit the wall? With what orce lady? Go to the gym!

#680 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:26pm by tradit03

1) Why would you kick a cat ? Animal Abuse !!
2) Animal Abuse ? LETS TALK ABOUT CHILD ABUSE . Holy shit . You kick your kid hard enough to hit the wall ? Woo . Your mother of the year . I doubt she'll forget that . Trust me . I'm 12 & i remember some of the stuff that happened to me when I was two , some not so pleasent .

#681 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:33pm by XBeckster

Hahahahahaha! So many idiots on here. The list goes on. And on. And on.

OP: FYL if you read any of the B.S. in this thread. Rest assured, it's all crap. Those of us with kids and/or cats know the real score. We sympathize with you.

#682 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:39pm by thuryn

haha my mom did the same thing to me when i was about 3. and the ONLY reason i know this is b/c she has told me the story a couple hundred times. i didn't get any bruises, i wasn't scarred for life...so everyone else needs to chill the hell out.

#683 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:48pm by t_annie

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

#684 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:48pm by llama

Wow. I am absolutely stunned at what I read. I hope you feel completely awful. If I knew who you were, I would call DSS right away..
I'm shooed my cat off my bed many times, never hard enough for her to be hurt, but definitely not hard enough for a 2 year old to hit a wall.

I'm sorry for you. You suck.

#685 - On 06/03/2009 at 1:58pm by In_trouble

YDI. I feel bad for your daughter, but you shouldn't be kicking your cat anyway.

#686 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:01pm by squeaksx24

Why would you kick your cat? Someone should kick you!!!

#688 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:05pm by stjimmy66

WOWWW OP.. i hope your parental privileges are suspended if not permanently removed for that

#689 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:13pm by Amorbis

Good job being an animal abuser and a child abuser. YDI

My Mom once knocked me into the wall when I was a toddler, but that was because I bit her in the leg and she though it was a bug and swatted me and I fell over against the wall going "I alligator mommy I bited you."

#690 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:14pm by fantome

Amorbis: You're an idiot. Read some more of the comments. The OP kicked his kid off the bed. It's a turn of phrase meaning, "pushed, shoved, nudged, or otherwise caused the kid to fall off the bed." Like being "kicked out of school." They make you leave. They don't literally punt you into the parking lot.

It does NOT mean the OP used kung fu while asleep on his daughter. Get a clue.

#691 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:21pm by thuryn

Youve been reported to an FML admin to scan your IP address and talk to animal abuse.

Have a nice day ;).

#692 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:25pm by HanMan

y'all need to calm down,, If you were asleep and a cat woke u up and u were very tired ur instinct would be to get it off right away,, you never know her bed might be near a wall.. hope the 2yr olds alright though

#693 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:26pm by EatMyCrayonz

Serves you right for kicking your cats off your bed you stupid cunt.

#696 - On 06/03/2009 at 2:41pm by thuryn

u fuckin bitch or bastard. if u kicked a cat, I'd say post it. mistake made. but u dumb shit, kicked a child are displaying it for people to see. fuckin retard for thinkin people would give u sympathy for this "accident". poor kid. she can come live with me where there is no kicking and hugs and compliments all day everyday.

who takes up a whole bed u at fuck

#700 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:21pm by roflbubbles

#698 - 701: MOAR STUPID PEOPLE.

The OP kicked the kid out of bed. That's not the same as kicking the kid. Think "foot shove" not "drop kick."

Idiots. Maybe if you had read any of the comments instead of just skipping to the bottom so you could mouth off, you'd have thought of that.

#701 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:26pm by thuryn

What the fuck is wrong with you!!!????? Even so, you would kick your cat into a wall?!?!?

#702 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:35pm by tomarino13

Also, wasn't he/she fucking scared enough?

#703 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:38pm by tomarino13

XBeckster you know nothing of life so don't tell an adult to trust you. The kid will forget because she's only two. No person remembers anything that happened to them prior to being 3 years old.

#704 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:39pm by razzumfrazzum

Lol at people crying "ANIMAL ABUSE," "ANIMAL HATER," "OMG YOU KICK YOUR CATS?" before mentioning anything about the OP kicking his/her kid off the bed. You people are dumb as fucking rocks. You care more about cats that humans? Why not go buy a bunch of fucking kittens and raise them then, and get off the internet.

And I'm sure the parent didn't wind up and kick the kid in the face like it was opening kickoff. It was probably, like 702 said, a "foot shove," so stfu with the bad parenting bullshit.

I also saw people saying shit like, "If you have a two year old child...why are you taking a nap?" Give me a fucking break. People aren't allowed to sleep when they have kids? Omfg, I hope you never take up parenting.

#705 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:40pm by wbrycem

poor kid o_O

#706 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:45pm by lalaloveit

I agree with 706. Im a father of one and when me and my wife put our little 2 year old down for a nap, theres time that we go for one too.

#707 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:46pm by honda1

why would you kick a cat! but still, i have shoved a cat off but not with my feet. w/e, it's how you do it.

"If you have a two year old child...why are you taking a nap?" that's bullshit. if you guys are trying to be funny and witty and clever, nice try.

#708 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:51pm by rihannalover

Justifying kicking your child with the excuse that you thought she was a cat shows how messed up you are. Don't kick cats, don't kick kids. Simple

#709 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:51pm by Hullaballoo

I still can't help but laugh when I read this. So funny!

#710 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:52pm by Claymason

Are you fucking insane?!?!

#711 - On 06/03/2009 at 3:54pm by GothamKnight

what are you people, 7 years old? well you have the grammatical skills of one. calm the hell down. youre more worried about a cat (cats have incredible dexterity for you morons saying they couldve killed it, by the way) than a human kid. and it's okay for you to call this person an animal abuser, a child abuser, a jerk, among other things, while you verbally abuse them. and if i can be this mature as a teenager, i'd hate to see how you guys were if you're acting like this now. GROW UP.

Although you shouldn't even kick a cat that hard. :\

#718 - On 06/03/2009 at 4:32pm by Morokea

Okay 1st Very irresponsible to be taking a nap with your 2 year old to just have the entire house to themselves. I bet you think it's cool to run to the store too, and leave your kid at home. Since you will only be gone a second. And 2nd. yea. You have anger issues. FY kids life is WAY more like it. WOW!

#719 - On 06/03/2009 at 4:36pm by ryleismith

do you have a lot of kids? ... you should be alone in the white room...you have a big problem

#720 - On 06/03/2009 at 4:37pm by ducu

#723 - On 06/03/2009 at 4:53pm by Lisa_Emily

Okay, to all the people who are shouting "animal abuser" etc: Have you never had a cat jump on your bed and start licking/clawing your face while you're sleeping? They're a pain in the ass. But I still think maybe you shouldn't kick your cat (or your baby) quite that hard :|

that's what you get.

#725 - On 06/03/2009 at 5:13pm by kennington

#749 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:02pm by xam0097531

Why would you kick a cat so hard? People who hurt innocent animals just because they feel like it don't deserve to have children.

Hahahahaha! Commenters continue to be stupid. If FML is a stupidometer, it just went all the way to 11.

#751 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:07pm by thuryn

@ 568

Phew, if he feels bad for what he did then that makes everything all better. And if an animal is annoying you; you shoo it away, you don't kick 'em. And he did put "kick" not "nudge". So his fault if he didn't use the correct wording. I do believe it was accident, but someone hitting a pedestrian because they were speeding is also an accident. Still doesn't let them from being off the hook for being a retard.

You kick your cats?????

#734 / kiddnyc10: My kid has been able to climb up onto the bed since she was about 18 months.

#754 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:32pm by thuryn

Yes monkey314159 the OP is a retard because being fully awake and accidentally hitting a pedestrian is the EXACT same thing as being in a state of half-consciousness and accidentally "kicking" their child which they mistook for being a cat........Seriously? You're remedial aren't you? Not only that I don't think the OP realized that ppl, including you, were gonna be stupid enough to take the word kick to mean attempt game winning field goal and give it all ya got for grandma.

kick (kk)
v. kicked, kick·ing, kicks
v.intr.
1. To strike out with the foot or feet.

Oh look at that. The actual definition of kick. READ IT. Looks like the correct usage to me.

#755 - On 06/03/2009 at 9:46pm by razzumfrazzum

#768 - On 06/03/2009 at 11:06pm by spedchildgonewil

2 years old...as long as theres no permanent damage, i doubt she'll remember. I say YDI, not because you would kick a cat, as i would also kick a cat that hard, but YDI for owning cats, if not that then having them in your house. Cats suck, and you even agree with me, being that you wanted to kick the hell out of it. And fuck everybody who says OP should be charged, that would be fucked up. And animal abuse shouldn't even be considered a fucking crime, it's a damn cat, abuse is the only way it'll learn.

#769 - On 06/03/2009 at 11:13pm by that_guy01

Damn sorry to hear that man u guys should back off on this one I'd kick a cat to if it was climbing on me while I was sleepin they tend to claw u for no reason and she didn't say how close her bed was to the wall either besides I bet she feels bad enough

Give the kid asparagus

#791 - On 06/04/2009 at 4:11am by bizzle187

Like a lot of people said... Even if it really was the cat, why would you go and kick it anyway?

And to those of you who think there's too much concern over the cat: That isn't the point. If this person hadn't been a colossal douchebag by trying to kick the cat, the daughter wouldn't have been kicked in the first place.

Moral of the story: Don't kick shit. That just makes you an asshole.

#792 - On 06/04/2009 at 4:21am by Aw_Geez

The fact that you think it's okay to kick the cat is terrible ... makes you FML worthy though, kudoos for you; you suck! You'll be a great example to your daughter (no pun intended).

Cats need to learn their damn place. I feel he need to shove them off the bed every once in a while, but maybe you should nudge them from now on. For her to hit the wall like that, there must have been a significant amount of force.

#800 - On 06/04/2009 at 10:51am by bagpipendude

Come on people, how many of you actually own cats or even dogs? They can and do suddenly jump on you or surprise you illiciting a instinctive violent reaction. And how many of you can honestly properly meter your own strength when you've just woken up and are probably still half asleep and/or startled. Obviously this person in sharing this story because they feel bad about it. It was a friggin mistake. Just wait 'til you all have children and accidently knock them off a swing or something. Try posting an FML about that and see how many people tell you about how you fail at parenting. It happens.

#801 - On 06/04/2009 at 11:09am by Chaoleo

OP, don't take all the insults these people say to heart. Feeling aweful about your mistake and learning from it is what makes good parents. Besides, young children are surprisingly more resilient than they appear. Their bones and joints are still soft and flexible. And as tender and gentle as you try to be with the living beings you care for, everyone ultimately makes a mistake. I've accidently stepped on my dog (whom I adore and would never want to intentionally injure, for all you supposed animal lovers out there) a countless number of times as he so easily gets under foot when I simply can't see that he's there. One lapse in judgement does not by any means make you a bad parent or animal owner.

#802 - On 06/04/2009 at 11:44am by Chaoleo

Someone needs to call the SPCA on you! Why would you kick your cat? Nevermind why you'd have a cat that you want nothing to do with?

#807 - On 06/04/2009 at 1:32pm by kanelle

I rarely pick YDI, but this is definitely one of them. I can understand nudging a cat off with your foot, but kicking it? And if you kick your daughter hard enough to hit the wall what the heck is happening to the cats? Maybe kicking was just a bad choice of words, at least I hope so.

#808 - On 06/04/2009 at 1:40pm by smbxsway

Woot Woot!! Still going strong with dumbasses crying about animal/child abuse lol People really are stupid :D almost at that 1000 milestone.

#809 - On 06/04/2009 at 1:43pm by razzumfrazzum

You would kick your own cat? You're sick.

#810 - On 06/04/2009 at 3:05pm by Macha

oh my god why is everyone being so mean
im not saying it was ok for her to kick her cat, but you know when you're half asleep half awake you dont really think about these things do you, you only think about getting back to the happy place that is sleep.

#811 - On 06/04/2009 at 3:37pm by CandyApple

the visual of this is just too perfect.

#812 - On 06/04/2009 at 3:53pm by xxxeelaa

Im the one who submitted this (almost word for word, so FML changed crap around and made it different.) Im a guy and it was actually my dad who kicked me off the bed 15 years ago. I just had to write it like I was my dad for the "Today, etc etc" format. I think its a pretty damn funny story. He didn't kick me hard enough to make me slam into the wall. And to all the "OMGZ ANIMAL ABUSE" piss off and get a sense of humor. I turned out perfectly fine so don't worry about any damage done to me.

#813 - On 06/04/2009 at 3:56pm by go_falcons

810 - razzumfrazzum, we might reach 1000. I am actually surprised the comments have not been turned off yet.

Wow though, it seems as though many of the people who read this FML are stupid as hell. I am glad that at least some of the commenters have a brain.

The OP did not kick as hard as she could to get her "cat" off of the bed.

I love my cat, but I have kicked her off of the bed. It is not like I made her fly across the room, I pretty much just nudged her probably like the OP actually did to her/his child.

God, you people act as though the OP kicked thier child across the room.......which I doubt would be even possible while laying down, even if you tried.

As some of the few with brains pointed out, the OP probably just nudged her child off the bed, they fell, and hit the wall.

I could see how a toddler could be mistaken for a cat. Sure, a toddler would weigh more, but how many of you are going to lay there, half awake, and analyze the situation first? If you are going to actually think about what is going on, most likely you are just going to open your eyes.

For the others saying "how dare you take a nap", god are you that stupid? I highly doubt the OP decided to take a nap and let their child run around unsupervised. I am sure there was either someone else there, like the other parent, or the child had been put down for a nap themself.

#814 - On 06/04/2009 at 4:45pm by patray_angel

@815: It wasn't even a nap. It was during night when everyone was asleep. I crawled out of my bed and got at the foot of my parents' bed.

#815 - On 06/04/2009 at 4:47pm by go_falcons

816/go_falcons/OP

Well, in the version that got posted, it said nap and I was just getting after the people who made it sound like you were left unattended.

Exactly how did your story go when you originally submitted it, I know in a previous comment you mentioned that some of your story was changed......

#816 - On 06/04/2009 at 4:59pm by patray_angel

It was almost the exact same thing:

Today, My 3 year old son decided to climb onto the foot of my bed in the middle of the night during a thunderstorm because he was scared. I thought he was one of our cats, so I kicked him off. He hit the wall. FML

It was almost the exact same thing minus the nap/daughter thing. I had to write it like I was my dad just for formatting purposes.

#817 - On 06/04/2009 at 5:03pm by go_falcons

Wow strong legs there huh?

#818 - On 06/04/2009 at 5:06pm by flyordien3rd

go_falcons, I have a few stories that I have tried to submit. Some happened to me years ago that obviously I had to change a little due to the formatting. Do you get some sort of confirmation that your story was posted or do you just have to find it?

#819 - On 06/04/2009 at 5:09pm by patray_angel

So you have a habit of kicking your cats?

#820 - On 06/04/2009 at 5:17pm by silentsolution

It gave me the option to give an email address to "Notify me if this is posted" but I didn't have an account then, so I didn't bother. I submitted it under the "Kids" section too. My friend is the one who actually found it because I missed it (looking for it in Kids but was posted under miscellaneous.)

#821 - On 06/04/2009 at 5:20pm by go_falcons

No, my dad kicked it off the bed because he's allergic to them, and he didn't want any dander on the sheets. Also, it wasn't a freaking punt. It was more of a shove. Cats fall out of trees and land on their feet, a fall off of a three foot tall bed wouldn't hurt.

#822 - On 06/04/2009 at 5:22pm by go_falcons

Hahaha

Oh Fuck. That sucks.

#823 - On 06/04/2009 at 5:25pm by Lesiliexx

$5 says the next post under me is gonna be a remedial fuck boo hooing about the cat.

#824 - On 06/04/2009 at 5:26pm by razzumfrazzum

Every comment I read was ignorant as all Hell. Some people don't like their animals on the furniture, especially the bed. When someone is sleeping or half asleep two pounds can feel like twenty and vice versa. As the OP said, cats can fall out of trees and be fine. They can fall off a building and be fine. So shut the fuck up with this 'OMG UR ANIMAL ABUZERS' / 'DON'T HAVE NEMOR CHILDRAN' shit. God, everyone on the internet is self righteous.

That line that stands out in this post that ppl seem to overlook is when she says "...I thought it was my cat". As if it were ok if it was the cat, thats messed up. Listen if I really had to choose I rather kick a cat over my kid anytime but is not ok to kick pets. Nor is it by any means ok to kick a child. She couldve easily left that " I thought it was my cat" line out to save us from all these ppl commenting accusing her of being an animal abuser... Woulda been a better fml w/o that line, unecessary

#25 you're a piece of shit :D
i hope someone kicks you against a wall

and lady, WTF?
you're a sad, pathetic dumbass :0
whether it's your cat or your kid, why the hell would you kick it to begin with? you don't realize that it's the same as saying, "my cat was crawling on my bed and i thought it was my daughter, so i kicked it off the bed." if you got up and looked down and your cat's face had been slammed against the wall, and it was laying there, dead, you would shrug and get on with your lame life. but if you saw your daughter, who, any smart person would know, weighs a lot more, limping around, bawling about how you kicked her off your bed for NO REASON, you would be horrified and write this only to get a bunch of comments like these, from billions of people who hate your ass.

ASSHOLE

bluh_gurl you FAIL. Keep trying though you might just succeed at some point. The OP actually is the daughter but you wouldn't know that cuz you didn't bother to read 10 comments above yours.

And I'm perfectly fine.

#851 - On 06/05/2009 at 1:41am by go_falcons

its funny people actually seem to believe this made up shit, and go through the trouble to be so concerned in their comments (195, 654, 815, 839, look at their lengths, really?). give me a brake, no way this one happened. blatantly made up, just spare me. Today, I was making tea and my three year old daughter stepped right on my bare toe that I had just taken bandages off from a recent fracture. I cringed and in my quick reflex accidentally spilled the pot of boiling water all over her face. FML. I mean really, its not hard

#852 - On 06/05/2009 at 1:45am by sneezing_unicorn

I agree, and now some dumbass is posting here claiming he is the "daughter" that this happened to 15 years ago and he wrote this from the parent's point of view. More likely he's an attention-seeking bastard troll who needs to get a life. Yet for some reason people actually believe him.

#982 - On 08/27/2009 at 12:05pm by gummibehrs

847 and 848, you only get one shot at stuff like that, you tried once and failed and then attempted a follow up and it was even worse. FYL

OP, why would you even kick a cat? I still can't get over that... maybe reword it a bit if you actually didn't launch your daughter from the bed...

Razzumfrazzum: actually i did and i can't make heads or tails of it that's how much crap is on this page, so pull your head in and comment on the original post instead.

and #600 I'm guessing that you wouldn't mind if i "lightly" kicked you in the face? :)

Most master bedrooms have the bed 10 feet from wall with 2 bedside tables and a tv on the opposing wall and a lounge chair to the right of the bed... This is an average master bedroom

bluh_gurl I've commented on this thread already. I'm just here now to watch all the stupid people like you comment cuz I've nothing better to do right now. You can't make heads or tails of it cuz your obviously not that bright huh? The OP wrote in plain English, how can you not make since of that? Did you also know that kick doesn't have to mean field goal punt? The definition of kick is just to strike with ones foot, it doesn't have to be a hard strike. Get a better grasp of the English language and its word meanings. Oh wait I'm sorry that's too difficult for you.

#859 - On 06/05/2009 at 2:15am by razzumfrazzum

You're calling bluh_gurl dumb, yet you fail to use or even comprehend simple spelling and grammar.

Please commit suicide next time you speak without thinking.

#983 - On 08/27/2009 at 12:11pm by gummibehrs

Ok, ok. Let's clarify this one more time. I'm the person who is mentioned in this post. I'm a guy and it was my dad who kicked me off. I am perfectly fine. No therapists, brain damage, none of that. My dad didn't "go Bruce Lee" on me like most of you assume. It was more of a heavy shove. My dad is allergic to cats, so he didn't want dander on the sheets. Thats why he would "kick" the cat off of the bed. And yes, the bed was close to the wall. I didn't fly 6 feet across the room and slam into a wall. Better?

#860 - On 06/05/2009 at 2:20am by go_falcons

Shut the fuck up! Stop being pathetic and pretending you're someone you're not just to get a tiny bit of attention. The chance that you're the OP is very slim.

You're pathetic.

#984 - On 08/27/2009 at 12:20pm by gummibehrs

HA HA HA HA HA! People shouldn't be allowed to bread with out a permit!

#861 - On 06/05/2009 at 2:26am by keyinhand

Razzumfrazzum my friend, you can't even spell your abuse properly and yet you're here telling me I need to get a better grasp of English? I am holding your credibility by said proverbial balls at the moment so please, just stop trying to make yourself look smart.

Since and sense are two completely different words, look them up bub. Here, I'll even use them in a sentence for you:

"I wonder why the Darwinian theory hasn't kicked in since you don't have any common sense?"

#862 - On 06/05/2009 at 2:30am by bluh_gurl

Seriously keyinhand? The OP is right above you. You can't be that stupid. Guess you should apply for one of those permits huh?

#863 - On 06/05/2009 at 2:31am by razzumfrazzum

And go_falcons
I am seriously glad that you aren't screwed up! :S that would have been really shitty... *hug

#864 - On 06/05/2009 at 2:33am by bluh_gurl

Whoaaaaaaaa!!! bluh_gurl can recognize a typo. Good job. Try again there hot stuff. You've still yet to disprove your stupidity.

#865 - On 06/05/2009 at 2:36am by razzumfrazzum

#868 - On 06/05/2009 at 2:49am by bluh_gurl

Touche, Though the fact that you felt the need to say I should get a life is still hilarious to me when obviously we both are just killing time til we find something better to do. Like I said I'm just bored.

#869 - On 06/05/2009 at 2:56am by razzumfrazzum

wow, everyone loves to sound tough over the internet lol but this was merely an accident. people have different sleeping habits: some are light sleepers, meaning they wake up with the slightest unknown sound/movement. then there's the heavy sleepers, that could sleep through a natural disaster! some people fight in their sleep, not being able to control their own movements. if i felt something crawling into my bed when i'm half asleep, my reaction is to kick as well. all these people talking about animal cruelty and child abuse, it's not like they were laying in bed and saying 'hmm, I feel like kicking my two-year-old today. oh there is she'. so all you people need to give it a rest because no matter how pissed off you get, remember... it's only the internet! haha just because you make ALL OF YOUR WORDS LIKE THIS doesn't mean you're scaring anyone on here. so give the "animal abuser" and "child abuser" shit outta here already because it's quite annoying and half of you guys probably either a) beat the living shit out of your kids or b) get the living shit beat outta you by your kids or c) have no lives. so yes, FYLs (for the stupid, it means 'fuck your lives')

#870 - On 06/05/2009 at 3:48am by najiiexbabii

lol yeah i agree... xD gimme some skin man that was awesome! *h5

More like your rich your poor daughter's life. I hope you took her in for an exam. Hard enough to slam her into the wall could cause damage.

#873 - On 06/05/2009 at 6:32am by pinko

WHAT THE HELL?! You /kick/ your cats off of your bed? You're cruel, hopefully one day you realize that and will treat animals with respect.

F- Your Daughter's Life? Yes
F- Your Cats' Lives? Yes
F- Your Life? No

I feel sorry for having to live with you. I feel especially sorry for the cats.

Hurting humans is one thing, hurting animals is even worse. Although dogs > cats

#876 - On 06/05/2009 at 8:43am by MDFang

Oh and for the record, our cats died from cancer. No kicking deaths.

#877 - On 06/05/2009 at 11:37am by go_falcons

It doesn't matter whether she thought it was the cat or not, this person has a serious issue if she's kicking cats AND her daughter into the wall in the process. WTF. Animal AND child abuser. seriously. You might want to take your daughter to a doctor to make sure she doesn't have any serious damage.

#878 - On 06/05/2009 at 11:50am by analyzewithin

Awe man that really sucks I hope she's ok :(

#879 - On 06/05/2009 at 12:21pm by tropicthunder

you sound like a fucking idiot. you shouldn't even kick and ANIMAL. and your cat must be fucking huge, if you're mistaking it for a little girl who's big enough to get on a bed by herself.

How fucking hard do you kick your cats???

#890 - On 06/06/2009 at 1:37am by guitaristcarts12

OMGG!!

So the intelligent people(who aren't 12, obviously) on this site have already extablished that..
a) This is not animal abuse!
b)This is not child abuse!
c)The OP did not literally "kick" her daughter across a room. That's physically impossible.

We are now almost at 900 comments yet every other comment is something like,"OMG, u kick ur cats?!"

NOOOO, she is NOT an animal abuser.
And the whole child abuse thing just pisses me off. Child abuse is not a joke, so stop trying to make it one.
Stop making judgements about the OP. You have absolutely no right to tell her how to raise her child. The kid probably doesn't even have a scratch and I'm 100% positive that a 2-year-old would have already forgotten the incident.

Honestly the world is full of so many more stupid people than I thought..

#891 - On 06/06/2009 at 2:29am by Claire_bear

And then, a silent moment occurred. And all around the world, you could hear the keyboards of intelligent people crunch, and almost SEE the majestic keys that had brought upon so many brilliant words go flying across the room, as heads met desks in a triumphant kiss of passion since and yet unseen.

#892 - On 06/06/2009 at 4:50am by Silas

ok, ur an idiot. why would you kick a cat that hard anyway? and god, how did u not know it was ur daughter?

HUFF!

#897 - On 06/06/2009 at 11:54pm by Silas

How is "I thought it was one of our cats" justification for kicking like that? Its pretty cruel to boot a cat that hard, too.

#906 - On 06/07/2009 at 9:35pm by godyourethick

1. your lieing
2. your kid would be dead.
3. why the fuck would you kick anything off your bed. especially that hard.
4. normally you look before you decide to kick anything anywhere.

Today, i felt something touch my foot. Thinking it was a soccer ball i kicked it. It ended up being my chihuahua. FML.

Thats basically what you sounded like.
Cause that's so believable!

#907 - On 06/07/2009 at 11:13pm by nick0427

Once again, if you dumbasses would look up not even 50 comments, you would see the real story. For those who are mentally unable to do this, I shall post it again.

And you suddenly had a sexchange and skipped a few years of life to make this post?

Loser >_>

#986 - On 10/10/2009 at 7:00pm by F2L2O2R2I2S

Nick0427.......you're an idiot for so many different things regarding your post.

Godyourrethick.....you're an idiot as well, but only for basically saying its ok to kick kids and not cats. You should DIAF.

The two of you should read go_falcons post being that thats the OP.

Sorry, meant 909. Somehow the numbers got jumbled when I posted. Technically, though, I am now 919...

#915 - Yes, I am sure the 'daughter' is plenty retarded. Perhaps that imaginary person came back in the form of all of the people who have commented on this thread.

#927 - On 06/11/2009 at 4:03pm by Silas

.... whenever I post now, the numbers jump up ten. What the Hell is wrong with FML? Whatever, the most intelligent person on this thread is not a number, then, but rather the one who said 's', and nothing more

#928 - On 06/11/2009 at 4:05pm by Silas

@ Silas: Thats y I always just type the screen name lol

#936 - On 06/12/2009 at 4:05pm by razzumfrazzum

Retrospect:

"Today, my dad was taking a nap. I'm his two year old daughter. I decided to crawl on top of the covers on his bed because I was scared since there was a thunder storm. Dad thought I was one of our cats so he kicked me off. I hit the wall. FML"

#937 - On 06/13/2009 at 2:40am by Rancher

Today, I made a complete ass out of myself on the internet by turning an FML around, thinking I was so goddamn clever for it, especially when I didn't know the actual story, because I can't read. FML

#938 - On 06/13/2009 at 10:57am by Silas

Freaking hilarious.
Im guessing the bed is up against a wall you tards, hence the kid hitting the wall.
it was probably more of a 3ft roll, than the power of a chuck norris roundhouse.

OP. FYL

#939 - On 06/13/2009 at 4:54pm by Renni

#872 Although I agree with you that this person is not an animal or child abuser, you're not making any point saying that its not their fault because they instinctively kick at what is on their bed. It is not their fault; merely because this person didn't know it was their daughter they were kicking. If you didn't let your anger overcome your memory, you would know that she kicked her daughter because she thought she was her cat. And that leads me to say that he/she is not an animal abuser. This is because she didn't want the cat on her bed (for whatever reason) and pushed the what she thought was the cat off her bed with her foot, but didn't want to say "I pushed her off the bed with my foot" because it's too long to say.

Death2_Daylight, your comment is rather long, and says nothing. You have made absolutely no point, because you have not read the comments, and therefore, know nothing of the story. You are hindering them, not helping. Only furthering their ignorance.

Insinuendo, yes its nice to be clawed by a cat while you're sleeping because it felt like hopping up on your bed.......maybe thats why someone would care.

#955 - On 06/18/2009 at 8:12am by mixedchick

@mixedchick

I submitted it with "son" and whoever does the posting changed it around to daughter. I know that sometimes someone can post one similar, but this is almost the exact same wording that I submitted, so I know they changed it around.

#971 - On 07/19/2009 at 12:18pm by uareanidiot

#973 - On 08/04/2009 at 3:58pm by slapper23

#977 - On 08/16/2009 at 1:46pm by Mak10

#978 - On 08/17/2009 at 6:23pm by Sucp

Apparently someone was trying for a cheap million YouTube hits.

#1000 - On 11/11/2009 at 10:24pm by a1rspace

I think it's fake...

#979 - On 08/22/2009 at 9:30am by Gato

smh @ everyone assuming ...

what if her bed is really close to a wall? i know mine is, so if i were to push anything it would probably hit the wall.

if she kicked her so hard she flew across the room, then fine. but... you dont know how her room is set up. you dont know how hard she kicked the child away... hell, you dont even know how hard the child hit the wall. she couldve bumped it, and the noise made it seem worse than what it was.

and, not for nothing, i know we have all been in situations where we are bothered and we overreact in some way.

#980 - On 08/25/2009 at 4:24am by sexyReDD

You're an idiot. And why would you even try to kick a cat that hard?

#981 - On 08/27/2009 at 11:39am by gummibehrs

Falco-KICK!!!

#987 - On 10/22/2009 at 12:12am by possesed0ne

omg what I don't get is why nobody on here is wondering why the hell the OP was sleeping and letting the poor little 2 year old wander around un-attended?!?! Forget the fact he thought he kicked a stupid cat, what kind of parent sleeps when their children are up and around??

#989 - On 10/24/2009 at 8:25am by boboluvsme

I'm guessing that since it's a TWO YEAR OLD not a baby that she has a regular bed and I'm assuming that it was night or sometime in the afternoon if they were taking a nap. Maybe they were all having naps or something. Idk.

#992 - On 11/01/2009 at 2:53am by theonlyknownlink

Well if your napping and you 2 year old isn't supervised this is bound to happen. I personally would have gone for a karate chop.

#991 - On 10/28/2009 at 11:47am by john_bell

Okay well I'm guessing that if he/she was sleeping they would've been groggy if they thought their cat was on the bed. Usually cat's land on their feet and are unaffected by slight kicks or nudges but in this case you kicked your two year old... even if you thought it was your cat it's horrible that you kicked your kid that hard. Unless the wall's right beside the bed then maybe it'd be more understandable.

I'm assuming that the bed was right beside the wall, and the child was climbing up the side of the bed near the wall and the mom thought it was the cat so she slightly kicked it off and then the two year old hit the wall and either started crying or just nudged her again. I don't know.

#993 - On 11/01/2009 at 2:59am by theonlyknownlink

god dont you maybe think he might be exaggerating that she flew into a wall ? sheesh take everything litterally why dont you :|

#994 - On 11/01/2009 at 12:08pm by samanthamaay

Why would you even do that to your cat??

#995 - On 11/04/2009 at 8:17pm by movies12

Whatever you whiners. Seriously, I've done this to my son. You're sleeping, and cats are freaking obnoxious that way . . . climbing all over you and getting their nasty hair in your mouth and nose and eyeballs. Everyone with a cat has nudged or even violently kicked the damn thing off the bed at least once. And two year olds don't weigh much more than my fat-ass cat, either. Honest mistake. It happens. And obviously she felt bad, or she wouldn't have posted an FML, right? Jeez. Lighten up.

#998 - On 11/11/2009 at 2:29pm by lovemyE8

I can see why this is the most commented... the internet loves cats!

#999 - On 11/11/2009 at 10:21pm by a1rspace

Whew. It took so long just to get down here to comment. My question is: How does a child even remotely feel like a cat? And even if it was, why would you kick it to the wall?

#1001 - On 11/14/2009 at 3:28pm by joHnnycsU

WHAT IF IT WAS A TIGER

#1007 - On 12/15/2009 at 9:18pm by NoName18

I don't think that if her bed was close to the wall she would be posting this... and when I had a cat I would pick her up and put her on the floor instead of shoving and kicking.

#1008 - On 12/29/2009 at 2:38am by skattergurl

at least the cat would of had 8 lives left... :)

#1009 - On 01/10/2010 at 8:48pm by woah03

#1012 - On 01/19/2010 at 6:27pm by Lyzzajane

Most people are actually mad about the cat abuse over the kid hitting the wall.

#1013 - On 01/20/2010 at 1:12pm by Anteezy

How fat are your cats?
I feel bad for your daughter!
F her life!

#1014 - On 01/22/2010 at 2:32pm by 1k_1y_1l_1i_1e

Thats hilarious OP. Lmao

#1015 - On 01/27/2010 at 1:17am by what_the_fail

This should really be made into an animated FML.
Now that kid will think twice before waking her parents up every time she gets scared nothing like a round house kick to keep your kids from annoying you.LOL

#1016 - On 01/27/2010 at 7:29pm by tb15

Stop crying you stupid cal!! lol

#1019 - On 02/02/2010 at 9:20pm by Cambo9000

lmao pwned

#1021 - On 02/12/2010 at 12:13am by fuzz97

Why would you even think about kicking your cat off the bed though? First off, that's cruelty, and second off, because you thought to do that, your daughter could have been seriously injured. YDI.

#1023 - On 02/13/2010 at 11:10pm by darkmis1

Oh God, you're horrible! You would kick your cat hard enough to send a much heavier child hitting the fucking wall!? F your daughter's life for having you as a mother!

#1024 - On 02/19/2010 at 8:58pm by Fentown

Holy fuck! You're horrible!

#1025 - On 02/23/2010 at 11:10am by Zoid27
