Today, I was singing the National Anthem at a school game and totally forgot the words. So I kept singing the same two lines over and over. FML
Today, I joined a conversation about a TV show at work, agreeing enthusiastically. After a few minutes, I realized they were talking about a completely different show with a similar name. I nodded along, trapped, hoping no one asked questions. FML
Today, I realized I've been confusing scenes from The Lord of the Rings with American history. FML
Today, I realized that I’ve been using the same alarm clock ringtone for so long that I now associate it with pure dread, even when I hear it being used in movies. FML
Today, at work, I had received a lot of phone calls. I thought maybe it was a scammer line because I never receive calls. Turns out my phone number is the same as a character's number in a TV show. FML
Today, I attended a musical. A new song was played, and I thought I'd heard it before because it sounded strangely familiar. I sang along quietly as the song progressed, positive I knew it. Anticipating the next chorus, I belted out the lyrics with all my heart. It was instrumental. FML
Today, after recently complaining that the reality show "The Great Norway Adventure" portrays us as a country of nationalistic rednecks, I saw my drunk dad chasing my uncle on a tractor while bellowing the national anthem at the top of his lungs. FML
Today, I discovered that one of my favourite, relatable sad songs is actually a song about gay sex. FML
Today, I binge-watched an entire season of a TV show in one sitting and now I'm not sure what day it is. FML
Today, I've made it clear to my roommate that I go to the bed at the same time every night, and that I need absolute peace and quiet from that point onward. Apparently, he misheard it as, "Watch American Dad until midnight, and possibly beyond." That theme song is gonna make me go nuts. FML

You do realize American Dad came WAAAAAY after the national anthem of the US was created, 99? If not then you dont deserve to live on this planet. American Dad uses the American nation anthem as their theme.

im going to assume that its Allsång på Skansen, their theme song starts out with the lyrics "Stockolm is my heart..." that woyld be my best guess at least. i could see the confusion and if i wasn't forced to learn the national anthem in school i would've thought the same thing

fyi everyone the US is probably the most patriotic western country on earth so you're all taught constantly about your country. many other countries don't focus so much on that crap so for Sweden that could be very normal. The only reason I know my (australian) national anthem is because our new principal now makes us sing it at assembly, but when we first started singing it many students were left confused.

Actually, the Swedish Chef is caed the Finnish Chef in Sweden :D this led to a funny situation a few years ago, when some swedes went to Finland and decided it would be funny to initate the Finnish Chef, not knowing that everywhere else he is Swedish, so when they started saying "hurdy gurdy etc.", all the Finns thought that Swedes actually speak like that.
