(0)ydi for possibly being a shitty person to live with causing your parents to throw a party for your departure.
(0)that's messed up :/
(0)Maybe you were a pain in the ass
(0)Are you going to do that ? :O
(0)Do what?
(0)Have a party.
(0)Either you were a dick to your parents or your parents are assholes...?
(0)they could've just been extremely happy that the 18 years of having quiet sex were over.. or that they can go out of town without worrying you might be throwing a party in their house
(0)Yo
(0)you really must be a dick for your entire family to dislike you haha =P
(0)lol, true. :P

(0)I bet you would party every time they left too. :)
(0)wow you sound like you suck. fyl indeed.
(0)I'll eat ur patents for 100 bucks? =
(0)wow legonut. way to point out the obvious. did you figure that out all by yourself?
(0)lol that's rude but I was going to do that for my daughters 18 bday party lol
(0)You shoulda crashed it. how awkward would that have been???
(-2)awww I'm so sorry to hear that. FML for reals. :( no ofense tho It sounds like your family are just plain jerks. so blahhh to them. your out of their house now and you don't have to live my their rules anymore. it time that you live your life to fullest while you can and have fun! :) you deserve it afterall. :)
(0)that's so mean :o
(0)FML. Oh c'mon this happens to everybody.
(0)you must have been a beast...
(0)I'm so sick of seeing legonut4 on here.
(0)You should of had a party yourself, celebrating the fact that you moved out also.
But at your new place. :)
(0)it's funny because your invitation ended up in the fire place... somehow...
(0)A well-earned quincenietta in your honor.
(+1)well how old are u? lol
(0)they hate you
(0)Did your family feel bad when you had the "I'm finally out from under their dictatorship" parry without them?
(0)You are 40, I'd have thrown a party too!
(+2)This is great. Seeing you fine young folks struggling over that sort of parental thinking. Oh, to be sure, that doesn't mean we don't love you and still worry about how your doing on your own. We still do. Us parents just look for little things to celebrate. Know this, you will have a different view of things after releasing a (hopefully) healthy person after 18 or so years. There is much behind the scenes stuff that goes on kids are not aware of. :)
(0)How sweet of them
(0)What did you do to make them happy about you leaving ?
(0)I've seen this FML before did you copy it or did it actually happen?
(0)perhaps you should have moved out before you turned 40, loser.
(0)I would've set fire to the house and been like ahahha I am a phoenix rising from the ashes!
(0)Visit your parents, bring a bunch of suitcases, tell your family members that your parents are throwing a party, then crash and be like "I'M HOOOOOOOOOME!!!!!!!"
(0)Maybe the parents are glad that they finally have the house to themselves, did you people ever think of that?
(0)That sucks... unless you're 30.
(0)most likely will happen to me once me and my bro move out luckly for me I'm the younger so I stay longer
(0)I think most parents do that. it was probaly nothing personal. unless you were a bad kid

(+1)When my brother left the home, my mother cried and my father became irritable. When I left, they became overly invasive and telling me to e-mail them everyday and if I didn't, they would call me to check if I was okay. I think it is some kind of separation anxiety. I think it's better for parents to let their kids live. If they threw a big party, it means that they trust you enough to be on your own... or they just hold back their urge to control you and your life.
(0)I agree with #73
(0)Are you sure they weren't celebrating at your success of getting your own place instead?
(0)Of course they did. Who wouldn't celebrate when their kid finally moves out?
