Today, I went to visit my Grandmother, accidentally leaving my phone home during the weekend. When I got back I had 2 texts from my crush. One saying "I want to take the most beautiful girl to prom, go with me?" and the other saying, "Fine fattie, I'll ask someone else." FML

i know right. i miss a lot of calls and my phone doesnt always show missed calls, and hecka people get pissed at me. it's hecka annoying.

Sounds like your crush is awfully impulsive and selfish. I'd text back/call back (or better yet, if they're the timid type) go face-to-face and sweetly inform them that you would have (emphasis on the past tense) loved to go with them but . . . you're sort of glad you accidentally left your phone behind because now you see their true nature and are glad you didn't waste your time.

I would actually disagree about asking out over text. my bf asked me out via text message, simply because we weren't gonna see each other for a while and we were texting anyway, so he just asked me out. and he's certainly not a coward. but I think if this guy calls you names when you don't answer, then sounds like he IS a coward.
#1- Tell me about it. Nothing was worse than when I was dating my ex was when she was constantly sending me text messages and if I missed my phone going off she would go absolutely ballistic.

No one changes their mind from "beautiful" to "fattie" that quickly. Combined with the fact that he can't figure out that there are reasons that people can't return text messages proves definitively that this guy is a first class douchebag and that YOU have wayyy better people to spend your time with. =)

he freaked when he didn't get an immediate "YES OMG ILU" so he's probably either an arrogant, full-of-himself jerk, or he has NO self-confidence and was just really insecure about asking you.
he asked you in the first place though, so he probably really DOES think you're attractive, and "fattie" is such a default insult for a guy to call any girl, because it pretty much always hurts even when it's OBVIOUSLY not true.
