Today, when I logged onto Facebook, I discovered a friend request from my ex who broke up with me and deleted me months ago. Upon adding her, I was taken to her profile where I saw dozens of status updates talking about how much she loves her new boyfriend, who she dumped me for. FML
Today, I was looking through pictures on Facebook. There was a picture of me and my friends with the caption "I love you guys!" below. I had been cropped out. FML
Today, I checked my Facebook notifications to see that someone likes my new single status. My ex. FML
Today, I changed my relationship status on Facebook from "in a relationship" to "single." I forgot to take my phone to work, and when I got back, I saw someone had replied, "What happened?" Someone else commented, "He broke his hand." My ex and a bunch of other "friends" liked it. FML
Today, I logged onto Facebook to see one of my "friends" had used my account to post a coming-out story. It had comments on it such as "I knew it!" "Finally." and "That explains so much." FML
Today, I was looking at an old post between my ex and me on Facebook. Everything I was reading was adorable. Just as I was reminiscing about the great relationship we had, I look to the right of the screen to see the girl he cheated on me with in "People you may know." Thanks Facebook. FML
Today, I saw my mom's Facebook profile picture for the first time. It had all of my family members in it. I was cropped out. FML
Today, looking on the internet, I came across my ex's Facebook page. Most of the posts were about me, and his profile picture was still of me and him. We broke up over a year ago. FML
Today, I came home from work and turned on the computer. I logged onto Facebook and saw I had a bunch of notifications. Turns out, everyone on Facebook knew I was single before I did. FML
Today, I logged onto facebook, and saw that one of my friends had just listed herself as in a relationship. I was happy for her, so I clicked the "like" button. Then I went to her page to see who her new boyfriend was. It was my boyfriend. FML

Facebook doesn't need to make any recalculation a whatsoever. It's certainly his most popular status update, whether he likes it or not. They're not going to program something that finds words like "break up" and automatically ignores that particular status.

That sucks, but it could be worse: mine had my moms death from pancreatic cancer and then the $25k raised by my little sister in support of pancreatic cancer. Life is a roller coaster you have to take the lows with the highs.

not to be mean 16, but if someone put something online, how do they expect never to be reminded of it ever again? it's existing forever online. facebook used a generic formula to make the video and applied to everyone. dont like something on your profile? delete it. dont blame social media for what you put up. my best friend's video had pictures of her at prom with her ex boyfriend, but then right after, it showed her engagement, marriage, and her first born. it's part of life.

They say that soon we'll get the option to edit & decide which pictures don't make the cut (my family members' deaths/ RIP posts), and maybe add those which do. I want to change a few too. Mine is now set to "Only me" in the privacy settings, & as soon as I can edit, I'll take what I hate down, then make it viewable. I like the idea, but just didn't like the pictures they chose. Keep your head up. If it's really bad, hopefully the option to change it comes sooner than later.

I suppose (or hope) it was popular because people were showing you their love and support when you were having a tough time. It's a chapter that is over, and it is time to move on to better things. :) good luck op
