Today, my best friend who I have been secretly in love with forever, was ranting about her ex-girlfriend. Then she said : "If only you were gay, we'd be perfect for each other." So I took the chance to tell her I was. She responded : "Well I am still not attracted to you though." FML

What a bitch! Why would she even say that you two would be perfect for each other, if she wasn't prepared to back up her own comments?!

So you're that person who tells the less funny version of the same story.

I had to reread this a few times to get it, I hope I'm right. Friend: -rants on- ... "If only you were gay, we'd be perfect for each other." She tells her friend that she is. Friend: Not attracted. (Might have been a tease what she had said earlier.) Note that the OP is a woman.

It's confusing to guys because of how media and tv shows have portrayed "gay" as only referring to two men, not women. The equivalent is lesbian. So she is referring to herself as a lesbian.

No, ccc10, that's not it at all. He didn't understand because he thought the OP was a gay male and the best friend was a gay female.

Your best friend didn't know you were gay? Your fault.

That should teach you to mix with lesbians... they're evil!!!!!!!!

You should just start to rub her shoulders then take it from there.

No that does not make you a crappy friend. Just because she wasn't attracted to her.

it makes her a crappy friend for saying they were perfect for each other and getting op's hopes up then crushing them.
