If it were my friend I did that to, she would have just laughed when I told her it was a typo immediately after (because I would have definitely said so right away). I hope you corrected yourself quickly.
One of our friends walked up to my 3 day old son and said, "Aww, he's so cute, can I shake him?" And I was like, "hell no, screw you!" And then we laughed cause that's just how this dude is. Maybe she'll think its a joke.

If you have the t9 word function on your phone, this is completely plausible. The keys for the A and E are right next to one another and if you were typing in a hurry, it wouldn't be that hard to make a mistake like hitting the 3 instead of the 2 key.

umm she could have a keypad? not everyone uses the whole button/letter system anymore.
A W AND E are all pretty close on a keypad phone.

Like many people already said, if they used T9 mode this is definitely a possible typo. The 2 key (containing A) is right next to the 3 key (containing E). But if the OP has a full QWERTY keyboard or was using Abc mode for their texting, then this is bacon.
That's an easy mistake to fix. I doubt she really thought you meant to say that after you explained it was a typo...

If she has an iphone, granted you can't do mms on it, the iPhone often decides that it knows better than you and will type something different.
