Today, my younger son was doing a Zoom meeting for his upcoming school orientation. I tried to hold it in, but I stepped away for a moment to run to the restroom. My older son thought it’d be a hilarious "prank" to moon the camera. School hasn’t even started and we're already the "problem family". FML

Today, I was taking Zoom classes. We live in a one-bedroom apartment, which means I could hear my mom and dad fighting. I didn't notice that my mic wasn't muted. Everyone in my class now thinks that CPS needs to be called to my house. FML

Today, I was under the impression that my kids would eventually grow out of wanting to watch me use the bathroom. Instead, my 7 year-old son attempted to pick the lock so he could watch me take a shit and make fun of me for it. FML

Today, I asked my mom to help my daughter with Zoom school while I handled an emergency. When I got back, I found out my mom went through my laptop containing all my documents, my emails and even the journal my therapist suggested I keep. She says she was looking for a Zoom link. Yeah right. FML

Today, I got a phone call from my 6-year-old son's school telling me they were concerned about him as he wouldn't stop barking at the radiator. After talking to my husband about it, I found out he's been teaching him so he could see the look on my face. FML

Today, I went to my son's high school play. The moment I arrived at the auditorium, I shouted out his name to let him know I made it. Thinking I was a student, a teacher yelled, "SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN!" Scared out of my mind, I quickly obeyed, to mass giggling from the kids. FML

A mooning is not that bad, and discipline is for parents too, not just subcontractors. Military schools can be really great, but only if it fits the kid. Why do so many fml comments recommend going psychopathically off the deep end as a response to everything? Don’t worry op, there will be worse than that happening via zoom in your kids school!

Your older son needs one hell of a grounding. Depending on his age, you could also send him to military school. Strict discipline, with no empty threats, and a drill sergeant yelling in his face every time he steps out of line will set him straight.

Mooning? It’s butt cheeks from a cheeky kid. It’s not like someone was being molested on air with genitals flying around. Describing it as “child nudity” is very intentionally misleading, as a mooning does not compare to what that term normally refers to. There will probably be drugs and alcohol covertly displayed in zoom classes by kids in addition to naked parents walking by not knowing zoom is happening. Just a few possibilities.

We don't even know the age of the older son. I would hesitate to call a 12 year old a pervert for mooning a camera. A 21 year old on the other hand...
