World's best babysitter

Today, I trusted my mother-in-law to watch my 3 year-old son while my husband and I were at work. She fell asleep while watching him and he somehow opened the door, ran outside, fell and scraped his knee. Her response was, "Oh well, what doesn’t kill him makes him stronger." FML

The scraping of the knee, I could deal with and understand, ppl get hurt. But to balantly disregard the fact he got outside while she was alseep?? What if it was a car instead, or he fell off something and was severely hurt or much, much worse? I wouldn't trust her to babysit if she can't stay awake. A child that young need supervision at all times. It only takes one moment and they can be gone.

I would shit a brick and beat her ass with it! A GRANDMOTHER SHOULD CARE MORE THAN THAT!!!!!!!

She clearly made a mistake, but no harm done. Let’s move on.

No harm done this time. Which is lucky. Ever read or watch Pet Sematary? They take there eyes off their kid die 2 seconds, and bam, killed by a semi after following a ball out into the road.

NEVER AGAIN right? you all got really lucky this time. she's lucky you didn't beat her ass or call the cops for child endangerment. I wouldn't speak to her again. no more kiddo for her, sorry. good luck with your family and a new sitter.

He was outside alone at three. While she was asleep. This is unacceptable.

How the hell did he get outside?

You seem more concerned that he scraped his knee, which is nothing, than you do about him opening the door by himself. That part scares me to death.
