Unfair

Today, I got into trouble for moving my chair around in class, which went on my permanent record, while other people were literally throwing things across the room and being loud but they didn't get in trouble. Tomorrow's my birthday and now my parents won't let me go out, even after I told them what happened. FML

I don't miss the days of being under the tyrannical rule of underpaid & overworked stewards of the public education system. My permanent record has the time I got kicked out of the elementary school library for reading...can't say it's ever come up outside of elementary school though.

Permanent records doesn’t mean crap in school. It has zero bearing on life after you graduate. I once got suspended for telling my 9th grade English teacher where to go, and I still got to join the Navy at 18 and get a security clearance, even though my permanent record was full of blemishes

They are just scares that adults use to exert control when they don’t know what to do. I’m not sure they exist, and with my mother (a retired teacher), only major documents regarding students would be like an IEP. So, call their bluff. Even if it exists, it’s likely useless in overall context of things
