Today, while serving at my restaurant, a mother acted as a wing-woman for her son by insisting I read a note he'd written, asking for my number. I had to awkwardly reject the guy in front of his entire family, before having to keep serving them for another hour. FML

Today, while working as a waitress, an attractive woman sat at one of my tables. When she paid, I decided to be bold and write my number and "Call me" on her receipt. She put in a complaint to my manager. FML

A large woman walked in to be seated, and I leaned over to her and dared her to ask the woman if she wanted two chairs. She leaned back and said, "That's my mom." FML

Today, my mother and I went to lunch and there is a really cute waiter that works at the diner. I requested him to wait on us like I sometimes do. While we were waiting to be seated, I heard one waiter say to the cute one, "Ya, the creepy one is back, and this time she brought her mom!" FML

Today, I saw a ridiculously hot guy dining with his family. I decided not to flirt with him with his parents around but to ask his sister (who went to the restroom) to give him my phone number. No, this isn't the first time I've had that happen to me. Yes, I responded with something like that. The reason why I mostly posted this FML was because the situation itself with his family and his mother was weird to me. Chill and stop assuming lol..

Nah I'd say the best part was that he wrote the note with one of the colouring crayons from the table. Now, if that doesn't make you wanna swoon into his arms then I don't know what does.

I know how awkward that is. Good on you for being brave and continuing to do your job. At my old workplace, when that happened to me, my managers told me to use that and get the customers to buy more drinks before they leave (without a number). I hope your managers are nicer than that.

A person shouldn't have to lie in order to reject someone (not saying it is a lie, but a rejection should not require us to cushion the ego of the person we're rejecting).
